00:58silently as he watched his friends proudly prepare for the initial test of their marvelous
01:04new machine while scratch pumped with all his might little squeak crossed his fingers for luck
01:10and pushed the magic button the machine worked fine except instead of snow down came a cloud of thick
01:24black smoke the inventors agreed a few small changes would be required to make it snow
01:30bleep was sorry he couldn't wait to see the results of their second try
01:36but it was already blast off time for his morning space patrol and so wishing his friends good luck
01:43the spaceman sped off on his tour of duty but only moments later high above the earth
01:50the colonel screeched to a halt to listen to a strange space signal
01:58there it was again
02:02three short blips
02:07three long bleeps
02:10and three more blips
02:13this was an urgent sos
02:16someone nearby was calling for help
02:19but where was it coming from
02:21and who could it be
02:23then bleep spotted a ball-like object racing through space at tremendous speed
02:30this was another test satellite from the planet earth
02:34and someone
02:35or something
02:37was calling for help
02:39from inside
02:41this man-made moon
02:44meanwhile
02:47back on zero zero island
02:49squeak and scratch continued to test their homemade snow machine
02:53down came a thundering torrent of rain
02:59then
03:05a shower of giant hailstones
03:10but no snow
03:15still the puppet and caveman would not give up
03:18and in desperation
03:20scratch tossed a box of soap flakes into the contraption
03:24for after all to a caveman
03:26soap flakes and snowflakes sound and look very much alike
03:32now when scratch popped the handle and squeak pushed the button
03:36nothing came out at all except hundreds of giant bubbles
03:44which drifted up
03:47through the dome of their island home
03:51at about the same time
03:52colonel bleep sprang open the hatch of the earth's satellite
03:55and to his surprise
03:57out popped a dozen
04:00puffy dogs
04:02and a dozen kittens
04:05these were the frightened passengers who signaled for help
04:08for unless bleep could save them
04:11they were doomed
04:14to spend the rest of their lives
04:17speeding through space
04:19but how could the spaceman
04:22possibly get so many dogs and cats safely back to earth
04:29then bleep saw them
04:31dozens of beautiful floating bubbles from the snow machine
04:36here was a chance not only to save the animals
04:40but to play a wonderful trick on the great inventors
04:47quickly the spaceman popped the dogs and cats into the huge bubbles
04:54which like bleep's own space helmet would protect them on the journey back to earth
05:01and so it was that squeak and scratch were amazed to see the bubbles floating back to zero zero island
05:12each carrying a tiny pup or kitten inside
05:19yes this was a great day for the inventor
05:24for although the snow machine did not make it snow
05:30it did make it rain cats and dogs
