Gerhard Struber made clear he was not frustrated despite Bristol City’s goalless draw with Preston, meanwhile, Bristol Rovers boss Darrell Clarke was overjoyed as the Gas won against Salford.
00:00Bristol City responded to their first loss of the championship season last time out against Oxford United with a goalless draw away at Deepdale against Preston North End.
00:11But despite the lack of a win, head coach Gerhard Stuber was not frustrated.
00:16I think when we speak about the performance, I am super happy. Of course, we expect today a win here.
00:22But in the end, we're also really happy with our performance today. We did a great job against the team.
00:29They had also a really good start in the season. They have also, at the moment, a really good energy in the group.
00:35And so my boys were, I would say, in all directions today a step further.
00:40I think the only thing we missed today was a little bit of luck.
00:44But in all directions, I am very, very happy how we executed the match plan.
00:48On another day, we come away with three points here. Is that equally frustrating but promising at the same time?
00:53I feel absolutely no frustration. I feel a really good feeling.
00:59How we interpreted the game today and we cannot always moan about result or cry or something.
01:07So we have to accept that. Sometimes we have to take the point. Maybe it's an important point in the end.
01:13And there was another important victory for Bristol Rovers in League Two, as they won by two goals to one against Salford City, leaving Darrell Clark very pleased.
01:23Yeah, very much so. I don't know where to start, to be honest with you.
01:27I thought it was Paul first half, didn't get the goal just before half-time, gives us a boost.
01:33A bit of a change of a few things around at half-time.
01:36And I thought the second half was a lot better.
01:37It's a great to the boys and the whole group as well. It's lovely to see the seven players we had injured on the side.
01:46You know, cheering the boys as they come off the pitch. That's proper togetherness.
01:50And we needed that. You know, we needed that in abundance today because, you know, Salford are a really good team.
01:56You can see how well they're doing with Carl and the form they're in.
01:59And we had to dig in. And I don't think you'll get many, many games like that.
02:05You win a game like that at the end with a penalty, say.
02:07But I thought it was justice. I thought the decision to give the penalty is an absolute shocker.
