00:00This is Project Runway.
00:09Tonight, you're both out.
00:15I'm in shock.
00:17Me and Jesus, we're the two that got two wins.
00:21This is out of control.
00:23I'm literally in lots of words.
00:26I've performed so well in this competition.
00:29I think I also delivered something nice on the runway.
00:32And I had a reveal.
00:34So I'm so confused as of why BJ is not sitting in my spot right now.
00:39I'm sorry.
00:46But that is until someone convinced us otherwise.
00:55What?
00:56The f***?
00:57Hello.
00:59I think you're both really talented and worked really hard.
01:03I know you did, right?
01:04I convinced the judges that you both should stay.
01:12Oh, baby.
01:16Oh, I'm not going home.
01:20Ah, yes.
01:22If it wasn't for Christian, you both would be getting my Ophidazine today.
01:27I don't think we should get rid of either of them.
01:29Really?
01:30They both won challenges.
01:31They're both talented.
01:33And then only three to the finale.
01:34I think it's a great idea.
01:36No, you can't pick me up.
01:40I'm not going to pick you up.
01:41This is so fun.
01:43I'm so excited that my dream is still alive.
01:46And I have never been more motivated to make it the finale than I am right now.
01:50Good luck.
01:50Thank you so much.
01:51Good luck.
01:53This is great.
01:54Oh, my God.
02:01I don't know.
02:03Bitch, I'm also in.
02:13Christian said that he wants to see both of us in because we've made great work.
02:18So we're both safe.
02:19Are you kidding me?
02:21I want your suits to go home.
02:22Christian, what are you doing?
02:25Shut up.
02:27The bitch is back and I'm not going home.
02:30It's on.
02:31Get out of my way.
02:37Tots, tots, mama.
02:38Wow.
02:41Hello, designers.
02:42Hi, Heidi.
02:43The final five.
02:46I feel like I've said that before.
02:49Deja Vu.
02:50It's top five.
02:51We're all still here.
02:51I'm coming up a win.
02:53Wow.
02:54Let me take a deep breath.
02:58This feeling is good.
03:00I am more confident as a solo designer than I've ever been.
03:03And the finish line is really, really, really close.
03:06There's five of you, but unfortunately, only three of you will make it to the big finale.
03:11This is the most important challenge of this competition.
03:17This is the challenge before the finale.
03:20And knowing the two of us are going home, I can't mess this up.
03:24I just can't.
03:25Because this challenge determines who is going to the finale, we had to do something very,
03:32very special.
03:33Take a look.
03:34Roll the clip.
03:36Oh, hi, Heidi.
03:40And hello, designers.
03:41It's Oz's most popular witches.
03:43Whoa.
03:43Ah!
03:44Cynthia!
03:46Ariana!
03:47We hear this season of Project Runway has more twists and turns than the yellow brick road.
03:51And we're certain the experience has changed you for good.
03:53We wish we could be there in person, but you are in amazing and talented hands.
03:57We're pleased to welcome to the runway the most swankified man in Oz.
04:00Oscar-winning costume designer of Wicked and the upcoming Wicked for Good, Paul Tazewell.
04:06Good luck, designers.
04:07Wow.
04:07Ah!
04:09Good luck, designers.
04:09Wow.
04:11Woo!
04:11Are you crying?
04:13Designers?
04:14Wow.
04:14It is such an honor to have you here.
04:17It's so great to be here.
04:18Oh, thank you.
04:20Paul Tazewell is the first African-American man to win an Oscar for best costume design.
04:27On top of, like, all his other accolades, because he's been really running these costume design
04:32Broadway streets since the 90s.
04:34So, you know, just in the presence of an icon, no big deal.
04:37You will be creating an avant-garde look based on the themes of the upcoming movie Wicked for Good.
04:46To help inspire you, you are getting a sneak peek.
04:49Stop.
04:50Stop.
04:52Because I knew you.
04:54You're the only friend I ever had.
04:58Because I knew you.
05:01But there's no going back.
05:02Because I knew you.
05:07They're coming for you.
05:08I have been sharing.
05:13Think of what we could do.
05:15Together.
05:15For you.
05:22Wow.
05:22Wow.
05:24I can relate to this so much because Antonio and I have such a strong brotherhood.
05:30And Glenda and Elphaba have such a strong sisterhood.
05:34So, like, wow, this is such a beautiful challenge for Antonio and I.
05:38Wicked focuses on the power of friendship, marginalization of people that are different,
05:44and also self-empowerment.
05:46So, it's on you, hopefully, to take that inspiration and create it in your own way and reimagine the idea of Oz.
05:54And what if I told you, you might have not only one day, but, you know, two days!
06:04Oh, my God.
06:05Finally!
06:07Girl, I'm about to cry.
06:08A lot of emotions.
06:10I got saved.
06:11Paul Taswell.
06:12Wicked.
06:13Avant-garde.
06:13God damn it!
06:14Damn it!
06:15Paul and Christian will meet you guys in the workroom, where there will be some other surprises.
06:20So, enjoy.
06:21Good luck to all of you.
06:23Show.
06:24Look at her go.
06:27Yeah.
06:28Oh, my God!
06:30Hi, designers.
06:32So fragile.
06:33So expensive.
06:34So designer.
06:35Is this for real?
06:37So, not only did you get a special look at the film, you also get this fabulous special look at the costumes from the film, which is incredible.
06:45And you're going to get to talk directly with the man who made it all come to life.
06:49What you see before you is Elphaba and Glinda.
06:53For Elphaba, I leaned into all that was organic.
06:57I was influenced by mycelia, bark, the underside of mushrooms.
07:02Speechless.
07:03With Glinda, it's all that is artificial, all that is sparkly and beautiful.
07:08I then wanted to really establish that idea of the iridescent bubble, swirls, and those things that are whimsical.
07:16And pink and green define what the world of Wicked is.
07:20Think about this idea, taking the inspiration of Wicked for good, but still avant-garde in whatever that means to you and your brand and your work.
07:27Still needs to be fashion.
07:28It's still a runway.
07:29Push it.
07:31Really hard.
07:31You guys go sketch and we'll come around.
07:34This is my challenge.
07:39I'm good at avant-garde.
07:41Good luck to the designers.
07:43Good luck.
07:44Hi, I'm Glinda.
07:45Obviously.
07:47I'm thinking about doing a head-to-toe pink beaded bodysuit with gloves and do a beautiful cape of organza.
07:55Amazing.
07:56Well, make sure that you're also thinking about avant-garde, like something you've never seen before.
08:00Yeah.
08:00Because, like, a pink bodysuit is fabulous, but, like, Jennifer Lopez will literally wear that every single night.
08:05And a flower cape, Valentino's made for, like, 20 years.
08:08So push it more.
08:10I'm not worried at all.
08:11I hope my win last week can carry me through this challenge and into the finale.
08:16My biggest competition is my brother, and I feel like I finally catch up to him.
08:21The judges really are going to see what Antonio Stratus is capable of.
08:25I wanted to tap more into the nature side, so I thought about a beautiful tree.
08:29Nature has no linear lines, so.
08:32Absolutely.
08:33But remember, you know, still want that fashion moment.
08:36I'm trying to use the design style that I discovered for myself, sophisticated streetwear, and push it to avant-garde.
08:44The pressure is turned up to 5,000, and I really, really, really want to make it to the finale, so I'm determined to deliver.
08:55Wicked For Good is a movie about friendship being torn apart, and I kind of want to create a fabric that's kind of, like, peeling off or being torn apart.
09:04I really want it to be crazy, but in a good way.
09:07I mean, what I'm seeing is really exciting.
09:09Huge fan of texture.
09:11Also, like, your work is, you know, very quiet sometimes.
09:14I think this has to be the fantasy.
09:16Yes.
09:16Right?
09:17I really agree with Christian.
09:18My work, it's very quiet because I think that there is beauty in simplicity, but avant-garde should not be quiet.
09:29I love to play with restraint.
09:31A lot of Elphaba's journey, she's restraining herself because of her skin.
09:36Growing up, I was a little queer kid, and I didn't know really how to express myself.
09:42And so, when I saw Wicked, it did help me, like, feel comfortable on my own skin, and, you know, it really means a lot to me.
09:48Oh, I'm obsessed.
09:50And so I want to play with this beautiful crystal overlay off the shoulders.
09:56Just, it's flowing down to just beautiful fabric.
10:00You did do the first challenge, where you had a glove through your giant wind cape, and that standing still might not be enough.
10:10This needs to be incredible, which you, above all people, can do.
10:16Mm-hmm.
10:17Avant-garde is my bread and butter.
10:19I think that I could do a hybrid of what I've done before, but these decisions are the ones that are going to push me into the finale, so I've got to make the right decisions.
10:27It's a lot of pressure.
10:28I have a really strong connection with Elphaba.
10:33I want to create this really amazing avant-garde coat dress with really huge hips.
10:40I don't know if avant-garde is in Jesus' wheelhouse, because he makes a lot of beautiful dresses, but a beautiful dress is not avant-garde.
10:49Then I want to mold the collar into around the neck and into a hat.
10:54I mean, the silhouette of the dress is something that we've seen before. It's literally exactly the same. I don't know what he's thinking.
11:02This challenge might be Jesus' downfall.
11:05I got this.
11:10And we're back.
11:12This is probably the most important shop of the season. Five of you left, two of you go home on this challenge.
11:17Fabric is so important. 30 minutes, $1,000 to shop.
11:20I love money, and I love spending other people's money.
11:23Ready, go.
11:25On your broomsticks.
11:31I have been eyeing this crystal fabric, and I find this beautiful green satin.
11:39My ritual plan was in silver because of Glinda's shoes, but that crystal fabric is more of a green tone.
11:46So, like, green is just a natural choice.
11:49BJ, all this red is for you.
11:51A lot of your budgets go into this one fabric.
11:54Setting myself apart from other designers is a strategy that I've used for the entire competition because you need to have a unique point of view.
12:03All going to be red.
12:04Yes.
12:05The whole thing.
12:05Yes.
12:06Very powerful.
12:06It's a risk to use red because I know that this is not the usual colors that you can associate with a movie.
12:13But no risk, no reward.
12:16Can you see your sketch, BJ?
12:18No.
12:18I don't know yet what I'm making.
12:20Well, I just want to see what you sketched.
12:22I don't know yet what I'm making.
12:23You don't have to show him.
12:24I like that she doesn't show anybody.
12:26No.
12:27Like, you can't get it at her.
12:28She's trying to win.
12:29I like it.
12:31All right, designers, one minute left.
12:33Ah, anxiety.
12:34What color are you using?
12:37Green.
12:37Oh, my God.
12:38You and Ethan are both using green.
12:41So, it's a battle between who has the best green look.
12:44Bitch, I'm not worried.
12:46He was not supposed to do green.
12:48He was supposed to do silver.
12:50I'm his biggest threat.
12:51Can you see what's inside of that?
12:56Bitch, you never want to show me your sketch.
12:58You want to see my fabric?
12:59BJ is a silent killer.
13:01I'll see it later.
13:02She never wants to show anybody her sketch.
13:04When you show me your sketch, I'll show you my fabric.
13:06I'm not showing you my sketch.
13:08Game is on, BJ.
13:15Let's make some magic happen.
13:21You guys really bought expensive fabrics.
13:24How much is it a yard?
13:25This is $750 a yard.
13:28Wow.
13:29Jesus said you copied his color.
13:34Get it straight, bitch.
13:35I don't want you to, like, start tea.
13:36But never say that he was copying me.
13:38Don't put words in my mouth.
13:40You just accused me of saying that he copied me, and I didn't say that.
13:44Let me just clear the air.
13:45I want to clear it because you're starting tea.
13:47I'm just, like, asking why both of you are using green.
13:50You're initially going for silver.
13:53No, the original plan was that Ethan was going to use silver.
13:55I was going to do the green, and Antonio was going to do pink.
13:58Okay.
13:59Because we're hoping that we're on the top three, period.
14:02Whoa, whoa, damn, what, bitch?
14:07But never say that he was copying me.
14:09Don't put words in my mouth.
14:10He said that you change it to green.
14:13Actually, my original thought was green.
14:16But then I thought, oh, what if I switch it to silver for the shoes?
14:20I'm not copying nobody.
14:21I'm just doing the correct branding.
14:23No one here owns green.
14:25She's got to go home.
14:28I know it's like when I'm, this is, like, the moment that I'm, like, bitch, it's on.
14:32Jesus is fuming.
14:34I can already feel his heat coming down from his pores.
14:37I have my popcorn ready.
14:39Y'all are spicy.
14:40This is just getting me more fuel to send you home.
14:46Jesus can go from zero to 200%, and I am the opposite.
14:51I'm not taking it in a very personal level.
14:54But I think Jesus cannot do that, so there's going to be chaos and war.
14:59Let's see which bitch goes home.
15:01It's like, I'm done with it.
15:03I don't want that.
15:04She really is a shit starter.
15:06She's a shit starter.
15:07I don't hear shit.
15:08I don't know shit.
15:09Nope.
15:10It's very serious, and I don't like it.
15:12You don't with the Gemini.
15:14Oh my God.
15:16I've gotten nowhere with my garment.
15:19I don't have time for this, y'all.
15:23I'm going to change mine into a gown.
15:25The fabric is too beautiful not to do a gown.
15:28I have a question with both of you.
15:30Like, this is, like, a random question.
15:33Uh-oh.
15:34For example, just let's say, of course, ideally, both of you want to be in the finale.
15:39But let's say there's only one.
15:41Have you guys talked about who do you think deserve it more?
15:46This is just, like, an honest.
15:48I think Antonio started in the bottom, and then you started in the top.
15:52And then during the entire competition, it's kind of like, he's on the top, on the top, on the top.
15:57And then, like...
15:58Rich.
15:59What are you talking about?
16:01Honey, I'm just going...
16:02You're going down.
16:03No, listen to me.
16:03I'm just going up.
16:07Security!
16:09Security!
16:10We need security on set.
16:12You never know.
16:13Like, last challenge, it was a shock to me that I was in the bottom.
16:18You should have gone home.
16:19Period.
16:19I mean, I like my look.
16:23When I ask questions, I'm just trying to know you and to get to know you.
16:27But I get in trouble sometimes because I'm always very honest.
16:31And sometimes I lose friends because of that.
16:34It might come across offensive.
16:36You missed the challenge, honey.
16:39Why did I miss it?
16:40Because there was no reveal.
16:41There was a reveal?
16:42The Christmas sweater?
16:44I'd rather wear a Christmas sweater rather than dancing with the stars that looks like a magician.
16:50My coat was stronger than all your three pieces if you really want to go there.
16:55Wow.
16:55My God, this week is to t'en your ass off.
17:01You're a feisty bitch.
17:02Oh, my God.
17:03Starting trouble.
17:05She's not with a with me.
17:06This is very loud.
17:13I'm not really trying to create drama.
17:19She looks at me and I'm like, bye.
17:24More comment.
17:25Jesus and I fight a lot.
17:28But for me, it's coming from competition.
17:32You put two competitive people in one group.
17:36So what would you expect?
17:37You know, we're not going to hug each other.
17:38We're going to stop each other because we want to win.
17:41And that's normal.
17:42She said, I'm not starting to start drama.
17:44I'm like, yeah, but you did.
17:45She is drama.
17:46You don't have a DNA, honey.
17:48All your looks look from different designers.
17:51VG has always seen us as frenemies.
17:53But she's pushed me way too far.
17:56I don't know if it's her strategy to make it to the top.
17:59Because I truly have no idea why she's still in this competition.
18:04You really want me to go there?
18:06Ready, set, go.
18:07Hi, everybody.
18:08Christian.
18:09There's not that much done.
18:10I was going to do a jumpsuit.
18:16I kind of had a nightmare that J-Lo sent me home.
18:19So I changed my mind.
18:20I'm not doing a cape.
18:21It's almost like a shawl.
18:23But I want to make it big.
18:24And I want to make my own flowers.
18:26It has to be huge.
18:27Focus on this wow moment piece.
18:30You need a flower cocoon.
18:32Flower cocoon bubble.
18:34Let me write that down.
18:35How do you spell cocoon?
18:36Cocoon.
18:36I don't know.
18:39C-A-C-O-O-N?
18:46This is one of Alphaba's friends from the forest.
18:49Tree creature.
18:50Yes.
18:51This is really cool.
18:52It was really hard to find texture and the right color of trees and moss.
18:56I don't think you should go too costume-esque.
19:01Like a tree.
19:03What's going to make you stand out?
19:04Knowing that I could have gone home in the last challenge is shaking my confidence.
19:09I'm worried about my look not standing out in the room full of glitter, sparkle, and 3D definition.
19:18I'm concerned.
19:20Who is she?
19:22Lady Godiva.
19:23So you're sticking with your plan.
19:25Like you're not going to see the body at all.
19:26Like you're covering her up in green.
19:29Even if it was just a small amount into a V or something.
19:33You know, I could plunge this down and really get it close to the body.
19:37I think so.
19:38I don't want them to be like, this just isn't enough.
19:42Throughout this competition, I have had to tone it down.
19:45Because, you know, my sentiments for fashion is really loud and bananas.
19:49But this challenge is my opportunity to really turn what I'm good at up to 100.
19:56This is that one challenge you could push it even just a little bit more.
19:59Okay.
20:00I don't want it to kind of look like what I did for Unconventional, you know, the gown.
20:06I want to make her a little more sexy.
20:08I think you can do all this.
20:10Have you just met me?
20:11I know, but it's a lot of work.
20:13Hmm.
20:13I can handle it.
20:14I need to send her home.
20:15You really?
20:16I guess, what did you just say?
20:17BJ just killed the vibe not too long ago.
20:21She, she's one of those.
20:23I am sad because there's a lot of assumptions that I am steering the pot.
20:27One of the things that I learned in this competition is that you've got to be very careful because
20:32people just really create drama out of nothing.
20:36BJ, the room is very frazzled about you today.
20:39I know.
20:39I really don't know why.
20:42It just feels so weird because they, they thought that I should, that I should got eliminated
20:46last challenge.
20:48I don't know.
20:50Alphaba is a person that kind of like being rejected for who she is.
20:55And, you know, it's like, yeah.
20:56It's like, you know, it's like, I felt rejection so many times and it's not that easy.
21:01It's kind of like, I kind of relate to that character as a trans woman being rejected,
21:06being said no a lot of times.
21:09But it's like, no matter how hard it is.
21:14I understand.
21:15Yeah.
21:16Trust me.
21:16I was an out little gay boy when I was on this.
21:18Yeah.
21:19In 2008.
21:20Yeah.
21:20It was rough.
21:21It wasn't fun.
21:22Yeah.
21:23But you're here and there's so many allies in the world and people are going to be so
21:26inspired by you.
21:27There are things about me that people don't understand as an immigrant woman, as a trans
21:34woman, and as a fierce competitor.
21:36But those are the things that I like about me.
21:39I see my uniqueness as a special power and I want to channel all of that into this design.
21:46You get to create and show people what you can do.
21:49Yeah.
21:50So be proud of yourself.
21:51A little trepidatious about them being like, it's too similar to the first one.
22:10But it's a totally different, like, headpiece.
22:14Totally different.
22:14Yeah.
22:15There's not a lot of time to pivot.
22:18And pivoting last week hurt a lot.
22:21But I'm hoping that I kill it.
22:23One stumble could let me fall out of this competition.
22:26Oh, no.
22:28I think I could be in trouble.
22:36Hello, designers.
22:38Hi.
22:40Wow, what an honor.
22:41It's fun.
22:43Oh, my God.
22:44The Oscar winner.
22:44I have never had an opportunity to have my work critiqued by an Oscar winner.
22:51How are you?
22:52It's a pleasure.
22:53So this is, this is it.
22:56Definitely avant-garde.
22:57And it would be great to understand direction so that it doesn't feel random.
23:04Okay, I'll do that.
23:05It needs to be intentional.
23:06Yeah.
23:07My worry is that, are they going to get it?
23:10Are they going to see Wicked?
23:11The face of your model is open.
23:13And how does it relate to the green skin?
23:18I think it could be kind of cool if all of her face was covered too.
23:21Well, that's what I was wondering as well.
23:23And I think that it would also push the avant-garde.
23:25It's a good idea.
23:26Yeah.
23:26I'm excited to see that.
23:29Antonio.
23:30Hello, your majesty.
23:35Tell me about your design.
23:37So, originally when we spoke, I wanted to do a cat suit.
23:41I remember Chris was like, oh, J-Lo's done that.
23:43I'm like, you know what?
23:43Right, right, right.
23:44I'm going to do the most beautiful evening gown I've ever made.
23:48Okay.
23:48And I'm adding the green heart because it's a special place for my Alphaba, which is my twin brother.
23:54Mm-hmm.
23:55Okay.
23:57We've seen many evening dresses.
24:00How is this an avant-garde statement?
24:03Because this poppy flower that's on the floor, it's going to be her flower cocoon.
24:08Mm-hmm.
24:09Kind of like wings.
24:13Pushing your silhouette is the direction that I would suggest.
24:16Really make it something we've never seen before.
24:19I mean, that was fueling almost all of my decisions when I was designing Wicked.
24:22So, how can you take us to that next level?
24:25This is my interpretation of her hat, right?
24:29So, I want the point to be dramatic, like avant-garde.
24:32And I wanted to do a 3D heart because, you know, my brother's doing green and I mixed the pink in it.
24:39The twins, obviously, are helping each other, but they're not helping each other editing the look.
24:47If I'm Jesus, I will tell Antonio right now to get rid of that ugly flower.
24:53It represents the love that she will forever in her life have for Glenda.
24:59Wonderful.
25:00It touches my heart.
25:02There may be strengths in what you have already, but if you focus on that and make that really beautiful, then you really won't lead to anything else.
25:09Where I'm at in my process is getting the moss effect full throttle going.
25:14What I see currently are silhouettes that in and themselves are interesting.
25:21It's how do you keep all of it talking to each other.
25:24Talking to each other.
25:26I like Bolaunia's, but it doesn't read avant-garde.
25:30It reads streetwear.
25:32There's a lot at stake because two people are going to go.
25:36So, girl, go big.
25:37Push yourself beyond your comfort zone.
25:40That's what avant-garde is all about.
25:41Everybody, I'm hugely impressed.
25:44So, win or lose, let's rejoicify.
25:47Yeah!
25:49Bye.
25:50Bye.
25:51Oh, I hope it works.
25:52Tomorrow, two of you go home and get to watch me in the finale.
26:08Guys, this is it.
26:10I woke up feeling like a wicked bitch.
26:15So much better.
26:18I like this more.
26:19Hi, everybody.
26:20Hi, Chris.
26:21You have an hour and a half left.
26:23That's it?
26:24Oh, my God.
26:25Uh-huh.
26:26It's a moment.
26:27What if you cut it off just, like, leave this, but cut this off so it can...
26:31It can bellow.
26:32This is making it heavy.
26:34Wow.
26:35She's very Victoria's Secret Angel.
26:37Uh-huh.
26:38All right, models to hair and makeup.
26:41Let's go.
26:43Ah!
26:43Perfect.
26:44Gorgeous.
26:45The lighter shade so her eyes could pop, maybe, like, from the corner out.
26:48Nude lip and lashes.
26:50You should fix the inside of this garment because that's going to get you home.
26:56Click your heels, but I don't think you want to go there.
26:59How much time do we have left?
27:00Ten minutes.
27:01Oh!
27:03This is it.
27:05Only three out of five are going to the finale.
27:08I want it.
27:08That's it.
27:10Time to head to the runway.
27:11Ah!
27:12That's it, baby.
27:13Yay!
27:14Yay!
27:15Yay!
27:16Hello!
27:17Yay!
27:18Welcome to the runway.
27:19The final five.
27:20Yes!
27:21As you know, in fashion, one day you're in, and the next day you're out.
27:25But tonight, two, unfortunately, will be out.
27:28For this challenge, you had to create an avant-garde look based on the themes from the new film Wicked For Good.
27:35And please tell me, what was it like having Paul's input and looking at your designs?
27:40Oh, my God.
27:41It was extremely magical.
27:43He's also right over there.
27:44I know.
27:45Hi, Paul.
27:46Hi, Paul.
27:47You're here.
27:49Thank you so much, Paul, for all the guidance that you've given the designers.
27:52Absolutely.
27:53My pleasure.
27:54Let's meet the judges.
27:55CFDA award-winning stylist and image architect, La Roche.
28:00Yes, La.
28:01Hola.
28:02Editor of Elle magazine, Nina Garcia.
28:06And my friend, supermodel, actress, producer, fashion diva, and wicked fan, Tyra Banks.
28:13Vee Banks herself.
28:18Miss Ty Tyra Banks.
28:21Ah!
28:22Let's start the show.
28:30I love my look.
28:32She was morphing into the dress, and the dress is morphing into the hat.
28:36It's gorge.
28:37Stunning.
28:38My vision has come to life to perfection.
28:41Such an iconic moment.
28:43Ooh, by large.
28:53I've accomplished everything I wanted to accomplish for this look.
28:57She looks so, so elegant and so avant-garde.
29:03It's making me feel so proud of myself.
29:06I'm happy seeing this green goddess walk down the runway.
29:13My look does not have sparkle.
29:16It does not have that much volume.
29:18But it's me.
29:19Definitely me.
29:20And I'm obsessed.
29:21I am hopeful that it's still enough to get me to the finale.
29:24Seeing my look walk on the runway, I feel the spiral detail is so beautiful.
29:36And the movement, it's so powerful.
29:39I mean, the color is so dramatic.
29:42And I'm really, really happy with the outcome of the dress.
29:54This is all so magical.
29:56To be able to see my look just fly down the runway.
29:59It's sparkling under the light.
30:01The lines are gorgeous.
30:02It looks expensive.
30:03It looks unique.
30:04It looks so avant-garde.
30:08And I think that I did myself so proud today.
30:12It looks so good.
30:14Yeah.
30:18This is going to be so hard today.
30:20Oh my gosh.
30:21Designers, please step onto the runway.
30:27We've scored your designs and we want to talk to all of you.
30:30Jesus, we're going to start with you and your model.
30:33I really wanted to just create something very powerful.
30:37I wanted to do a heart to incorporate the pink of Antonio's fabric.
30:42Because to me, it represents the love that Elphaba has for Glinda.
30:47But for me, it's the love that I have for my twin brother.
30:51Avant-garde means being innovative.
30:54Being experimental.
30:57And that all came through.
30:59It really is pushing the boundaries.
31:04Well done.
31:06Oh, Jesus.
31:08It's okay to be emotional.
31:10I think it's really, really, really beautiful.
31:13Now, the shoes came off really draggy to me.
31:16But you know what?
31:17This is a runway look.
31:18This is the avant-garde moment when you can be outrageous.
31:23It's going to hit Nina first.
31:24And she's going to photograph it.
31:26No, it's going to hit me first.
31:27Because I'm going to get it right off the red carpet.
31:28Oh, you're going to fight?
31:29Oh, no.
31:30We're going to get it.
31:31Oh, no, no, no, no.
31:32Yes, baby.
31:33We get it first.
31:34I get it first, babe.
31:35Depends on your celebrity.
31:36Sorry.
31:37And we know who my celebrity is.
31:38All right.
31:39Nina came back feisty tonight.
31:40Yes, ma'am.
31:41That's what you say every time I come here.
31:43Whatever.
31:45Jesus.
31:46Kyra.
31:47I don't see two days.
31:48I see two months.
31:49Yes.
31:50I did love the look.
31:51It came out and I was like, wow.
31:53The sparkles, how you place them all.
31:55I don't know.
31:56It just gives it this kind of texture in a way.
31:59It's divine.
32:00Thank you so much.
32:02Okay, Antonio.
32:03Let's get your model out.
32:05I knew that I was going to do a pink dress inspired by Glenda.
32:08Mm-hmm.
32:09And what really came to my mind is the poppy flower in the movie.
32:13I love the dress.
32:14I think the dress is beautiful.
32:16Does it read to me immediately wicked?
32:19No.
32:20I'm seeing a little bit more Vegas.
32:22The construction on the actual dress is really beautiful.
32:25Let's talk about the back because that's what I'm most troubled with.
32:29That's a disaster.
32:30And it is not defying gravity.
32:34It's bad.
32:35Tell the truth.
32:36Shame the devil.
32:37It's, it's, it's, it's a, it's like a bad pinata.
32:40I know that deep inside, you know, this is catastrophic.
32:48Antonio.
32:49I know that deep inside, you know, this is catastrophic.
32:55The back of the dress looks really unfinished.
32:57I see all your seam works.
32:59It is a bit messy from the back, but I do love the volume.
33:02This brought me back.
33:03I feel like to the beginning.
33:05So even though I was rising to the top, I feel like I'm back to square one.
33:09So I'm shutting down.
33:13Um, I think the dress is beautiful and I actually like the flower.
33:19I want it.
33:20You can have it Tyra.
33:22Antonio.
33:23Hi, Vijay.
33:24Hi Heidi.
33:25Let's bring out your model.
33:27Wicked for good is about friendship being torn apart.
33:31So I bought red silk and I literally shredded it, shredded it apart.
33:36And Paul mentioned that one of the most important design elements for Wicked is the spiral.
33:43The deconstruction of wrapping that boning and making it look shredded looks fantastic.
33:50The shoe is spectacular.
33:54Kind of took my breath away.
33:56There was a lot of creativity to it.
33:58I really loved it.
33:59I think it's beautiful.
34:00I think it's avant garde.
34:01And then the shoe looks clunky.
34:03Does it read wicked to me?
34:05No.
34:06The red totally threw me off.
34:08Had this been in green or black, you could have told the same story and it would have made more sense for the movie.
34:16But I do think that you did make something really interesting.
34:19I used to teach branding and there are certain things with branding that are non-negotiables.
34:24And one of those is color.
34:26So for me, that's like a big miss, like a huge miss.
34:30Thank you, Vijay.
34:32Thank you so much.
34:33Okay, Ethan.
34:34Let's bring out your model.
34:35This could have easily been a $50,000 couture dress and you ruined it with those underwear.
34:42That is one of my biggest pet peeves on the red carpet when it's the wrong underwear.
34:47But it's fab.
34:49I love the addition of the ostrich feathers.
34:52It also is Elphaba with the cape and the end of the first movie when Glinda threw that cloak around her and she flew off.
34:59I think you did an incredible job.
35:01It's gorge.
35:02I mean, you definitely took a risk by hiding her face because it could have been like they either hate it or love it.
35:08I happen to love it.
35:09You know, it's like...
35:10What I like the most about your work is when you play with these opposites, right?
35:17So here is a sense of modesty, but at the same time of sexiness.
35:23I was just blown away.
35:24I think it's very stunning.
35:25This is unique.
35:26This is special.
35:28Thank you, Ethan.
35:29Thank you all so much.
35:31You can leave the runway.
35:32Thank you, baby.
35:33Okay, Polonia, let's bring out your avant-garde look.
35:36Paul was explaining his inspiration.
35:39He went to nature to see all the textures and the colors, and I was inspired deeply because I'm a plant person.
35:46But since this is avant-garde, I had to go a little bit bigger.
35:50I'm so torn here.
35:51I love the gouches.
35:53However, I don't know about that tail.
35:55It's giving me a little crocodile tail, and it's not even even.
35:59So there's a...
36:00Well, yeah, that speaks to nature and the unevenness in nature.
36:03It's supposed to be representative of moss.
36:05But does it give you a little crocodile alligator tail?
36:08To me, personally, no, it doesn't.
36:10I love it.
36:11I think there's different levels of avant-garde.
36:13Right.
36:14There's avant-garde couture, and there's avant-garde street fashion.
36:18I think it's absolutely stunning.
36:20My issue is everybody else took a chance, and I think this was pretty safe.
36:26In your opinion, what you've seen so far?
36:28Well, that's not helping you, babe.
36:31Really? You don't think this is you? I think this is you.
36:33I'm uncomfortable putting this on the rack.
36:34I love it.
36:35But this is, to me, this is, like, big.
36:37Well, you're gonna have to be uncomfortable a lot in this business.
36:41That's the name of the game.
36:43Fashion is all about the new.
36:45It's safe.
36:47Delania, be quiet.
36:48I have never yelled at a girl like this before.
36:51I was rooted for you.
36:53We were all rooted for you.
36:55God.
36:56Is it really that serious?
36:57Oh, bitch, it is.
36:58That was iconic.
36:59That was iconic.
37:00Now, let me critique you seriously.
37:02I actually agree with Tyra.
37:04Rick Owens is considered to be one of the greatest avant-garde designers of our generation.
37:09And for me, this is what that feels like.
37:11I do think it's avant-garde, and I do think it's really beautiful.
37:14It's the thing of not being able to take the critiques that loses me with you every single time.
37:20Because if I didn't care, I wouldn't say anything.
37:23I always say, like, cuss us out in your head.
37:26Right.
37:27I'm sorry.
37:28I'm not trying to be disrespectful.
37:32If I didn't care, I wouldn't say anything.
37:35I always say, like, cuss us out in your head.
37:37Right.
37:39I'm sorry.
37:40I'm not trying to be disrespectful.
37:42That's okay.
37:44Sorry.
37:45I gave yours a high score.
37:47I knew immediately that it was yours.
37:50I also did see Alphaba.
37:52She looks modern also.
37:54You know?
37:55This is now.
37:56Thank you, Belania.
37:58There's five of you, but unfortunately, only three of you will make it to the big finale.
38:04Antonio, should you be in the finale?
38:07Please tell us what two designers do you think should come with you?
38:12I think you should say, I would love to see my brother do a collection.
38:17And I would love to see Ethan do a collection.
38:21I've been so proud of what he's been doing in the competition.
38:25Belania, who would you take with you?
38:29God.
38:31I would go with the two twins.
38:33So you'll send BJ and Ethan home?
38:36Yeah.
38:37That's what I'm saying.
38:39No, that's coming from your heart.
38:40I think it's very brave.
38:41Ethan, what about you?
38:44This is tough.
38:48The twins.
38:50Throughout the whole competition, I have volleyed so many ideas and my work has grown so much.
38:57Like they've been just watering the seeds the whole time.
39:01Aw, that's nice.
39:03Hey, hey, sis.
39:05I would, of course, like to see my brother be in the finale with me because I am so proud of what he's done and what he's learned in this competition.
39:13And then Ethan, I saw the growth in him through this competition.
39:16I would love for top four because I think Belania found who she truly is as a designer.
39:23I truly don't know if BJ really knows what her DNA is in the competition.
39:30The strategy is they don't want me to be in the top three because they know that if I'm in the top three, I have a strong chance of winning this.
39:38So who would you take with you?
39:40I would definitely take Ethan and Belania because I think that these two people are kind and I think that we need the money more than them.
39:51And I feel...
39:53What makes you think that?
39:55It's hard to say yes to speak.
39:57That is so stupid.
39:59I like to work with people who are kind and humble.
40:02Are you saying that we're not kind and humble?
40:04Oh my God.
40:05You're the one that started all the drama in this competition, BJ.
40:07If you really want to go there, because you are not the humble person.
40:11You were starting drama between everybody in this competition and you know that.
40:16So don't stand right here and look like you're the innocent girl.
40:19Period.
40:21Between you and your brother, who's the better designer?
40:23I'm not going to answer that law.
40:24Why not?
40:25I'm not going to answer that.
40:26You saw the hearts on the dresses.
40:28It's a competition.
40:29Please don't do that.
40:30I mean, he was always on top and I was on the bottom, so I'm proud of him.
40:32Right.
40:33So you think he's the better designer?
40:34Oh.
40:35I mean, yeah.
40:36If you want me to say, he's an amazing designer.
40:37Okay, great.
40:38That's all I'm trying to get to.
40:39It's okay.
40:40He said it.
40:41I have different family values as maybe you should one day too.
40:43It's fine.
40:44There can only be one winner at the end of the day.
40:46Yeah.
40:47The best winner should win.
40:48Yeah.
40:49But let's get there.
40:50We have a lot to talk about.
40:51You can leave the runway.
40:53Thank you so much.
40:57Wow.
40:58It got heated in here.
41:00That was really wrong for you to say that.
41:02Please don't.
41:03See?
41:04That's what I'm saying.
41:05Please don't.
41:06Kind and humble, right?
41:07We are humble.
41:08Oh, my God.
41:09I don't even want to be in this room with them.
41:11They're attacking me.
41:12But not saying that.
41:13Be kind and humble.
41:14Because you're the one with the big mouth.
41:15Let's not talk.
41:16How about that?
41:17Get her out of the room if she's not comfortable.
41:18Let's not talk.
41:19She's saying that we're not humble?
41:20How am I not humble?
41:21They're attacking me.
41:22Oh, dear God.
41:23I'm not doing this.
41:24I'm going to go.
