00:00How are you doing right now, Keanu? I'm sure it's been a whirlwind to say the least,
00:04but how have the past couple of hours been? Yeah, I'm good, brother. It's bittersweet because
00:09I've been locked up in a house for 90 days, but it's finally coming to a close here. And
00:18like I said, it's bittersweet. This is definitely one of the most memorable experiences of my life.
00:24So for it to come to an end is a little sad, but I'm also ready to at least have a cell phone again.
00:29Well, and you've got $50,000 to say, you know, surprise would be an understatement when it came
00:34to your reaction, especially with such a commanding, you know, 65% of the vote. Give me your reaction in
00:39the moment to that. Yeah, man. Wow. That was very, that was very nice. Very validating for lack of a
00:46better term. You know, coming in here, I said, you know, winning doesn't mean anything if I have to
00:52change who I am as a person to do it. Obviously I didn't win, but I definitely feel like I did being
00:57validated by so many people voting for me and just who I am as a person, man. That felt really,
01:03really good. Well, let's talk about the very important vote that you cast. Obviously a lot
01:08of shock amongst you all in Morgan going, but I'm curious, you know, if you would envision that
01:14scenario, were you always going to vote Ashley, or was there something that happened during the
01:19final two speeches and questions that made you want to lock in your key for her?
01:22I had said during the jury round table that if Ashley was able to win the final HOH and take
01:29Morgan out, that would be arguably, I'm actually to me, not even arguably, it would be the biggest
01:34move of the season. So that is something that I, that coupled with the type of game she played
01:40made me want to, made me want to vote for her. Interesting. What did you get a sense of what was
01:45going on with the jury? If they sort of had a similar attitude, because obviously the jury round
01:50table, we saw a lot of back and forth about all three, but did you get the sense that if this
01:55scenario came about from the jury round table, Ashley would have won in the route that she did?
02:00I think the, the scenario that would have maybe lost Ashley the game was if Vince won and took
02:08Morgan out that if it was Vince versus Ashley in that scenario, uh, coupled with how Vince answered
02:15our questions, I would have probably voted for Vince. Well, let's talk a bit about your time
02:20in the jury house, because I know that you said in another interview that, uh, even though you and
02:25Rachel were out of the game, you were still getting in arguments. Talk to me about getting to reunite
02:29with your friend of me and what your dynamic was like the past week. Oh man. Yeah. You know, Rachel
02:34and I, we just like to, we just like to bug each other. You know, I've said it in, in other interviews
02:39and stuff that, you know, we have that sibling relationship, you know, that she's, she's kind of like
02:43my older sister, you know, that even though I have seven other siblings, I have literally never
02:48argued with any of them, not one time. So if I had a sibling that I would argue with, she's, she's it,
02:55she's it. And I felt every bit of that in the jury house while we were playing games like clue
03:00and things like that. Oh God. Well, I think that, you know, something that you also talked about with
03:05Rachel is the fact that in retrospect, the vast majority of what she was telling you was the truth.
03:12And, you know, you chose to deny that information in lieu of trusting other people. So talk to me a
03:18bit about what made you decide not to trust a lot of what she was giving you. And, and how do you look
03:23back on that choice? Oh man, I guess it kind of up to a certain date. I can't, I couldn't give you
03:29the exact week, but, um, I want to say that there was a lot of people talking in my ears saying,
03:34you know, don't trust her, don't trust her, don't trust her. And even though I innately did trust
03:39her because of, uh, you know, her getting me to open up about my dad and things like that.
03:44Um, I did have a level of trust for trust for her, but I was getting, letting people get in my ear
03:49and, um, and that would, would cause me to kind of like teeter a little bit on, on the trusting
03:54of her. And then when she nominated, uh, Riley as the renom and, you know, whatever week that was
04:00week seven or so, um, you know, that made me feel like even I had explicitly told her, I was like,
04:06yo, that's really bad for my game, you know, this and that. And, you know, I respected the move.
04:11Did I, did I feel like he needed to go home? Absolutely. He was probably going to be a very
04:16good competitor. So, um, but I just wish it wasn't at that moment. And I felt like she was not taking
04:22my game into consideration in that moment. Um, and, and it made me, uh, not trust her as much,
04:28at least in that moment that we mended fences, hence the whole frenemy thing, you know, we're
04:32friends, we're enemies, we're friends, we're enemies. So, um, you know, I wish I would have
04:36listened to her obviously. Um, but yeah, there were, there was a couple of little factors there.
04:40It wasn't so black and white. Well, listen, I would be remiss on that note to not bring up that
04:46fans have sort of perceived that maybe you played with some preconceived biases. And it did seem like
04:52generally when people like Rachel or Ashley, or a lot of the women in the house would approach
04:58you with information, you would be much more convinced to deny that, that it wasn't true.
05:04And then you would more so trust inherently the information from a lot of the men like Riley,
05:09like Vince, who obviously did not have your best intentions at heart. What is your reaction to that?
05:16How did you discern who to trust and why? Yeah. You know what? I think that has a lot more to do with
05:22how the beginning of the game shaked out. You know, when Jimmy put a big target on my back and then
05:26lied to me and led me basically to believe, um, that, you know, Morgan and Mickey were the ones
05:33that were like basically plotting my demise. Uh, I think that's where a lot of that initially came
05:38from. And then obviously, you know, Rachel, uh, and Ashley were both, you know, uh, with them to
05:44some degree. Um, so it was kind of like the house was a little bit split, um, in that regard. And then
05:49it's kind of unfortunate because I did trust people like, uh, even though Lauren did put me up
05:53initially at the beginning, you know, I, I did, I did have a lot of trust for her. I know she didn't
05:58necessarily want to put me up. So, you know, uh, I trusted Lauren, I trusted Kelly. Um, but you know,
06:04they, they weren't the information seekers. Uh, so that, I mean, that is unfortunate that that's the,
06:10the, the conception out there, but, um, but yeah, that's, that's really where it came from.
06:16Mostly the beginning of the game and how, how that was, uh, how that started.
06:20Well, we mentioned Vince, you were someone who talked about the fact that he was a brother
06:25to you, uh, for better and for worse. So again, it's only been about a week or so since you've
06:31left the house. What are sort of your feelings on him as you were sitting in that jury house?
06:36How much were you weighing these ideas of like, I trusted this guy so many times, despite how many
06:41warning signs there were. And he was the one to not literally put the, you know, uh, the,
06:46the knife and the voodoo doll, but metaphorically so. Yeah, no, he, he, I mean, you know, coming out
06:52of, coming out of that eviction, I had felt very strongly that, uh, Morgan was the one to basically
06:58hit the final blow on me by winning the veto. Uh, but that was quickly changed when, you know,
07:04when I got to the jury house and they, they're all like, well, he kind of is, he's the one that
07:08convinced you that you guys were, that you were safe. So really he is the one that, that,
07:13that put the, hit the final blow there. So, um, yeah, man, I, I, I'm, I'm okay with him.
07:19You know what I mean? Uh, I, you know, at the end of the day, it's just a game. Um, I know there's
07:24a lot of money on the line and things like that, but, um, you know, it's not even about that. You
07:29know, I, I, I, the, I feel like the relationship that I have, that I have built with him, uh, is,
07:35was sincere. There may have been insincere moments due to the fact that we were playing a game.
07:40And, and that's really what I, what I look at is that, you know, at the end of the day,
07:43we're playing a game and, but we were still boys, you know? So, well, there were a lot of calls
07:49for you to get the call, to be on the challenge, given your competition prowess. Do you have any
07:55interest in going on that or any other reality shows now that you've kicked off your reality TV
07:59career? Yeah. Yeah. You know, I had, um, I had a conversation with Rachel, I want to say like in
08:04week two or something like that, or no, actually I think it was the same conversation that, um,
08:08that allowed me to kind of open up to her. You know, I, she had asked me why
08:10I was here. I gave her my answer. And then I asked her, why are you here? And she was like,
08:14well, you know, in, in this business, you know, your, your days are numbered. And, uh, so, you
08:19know, you take every opportunity that you can get. And, uh, that meant a lot to me. So, you know,
08:23I didn't know what, what I was going to get, you know, coming out of here. Uh, but, you know,
08:27obviously I was received relatively well. I'd like to think I would get other opportunities such as
08:31the challenge and, and other things. And I plan on taking every opportunity, you know,
08:35that makes sense for me. So last, but certainly not least, if you could put your big brother game
08:43into a D and D class, what was the class you played as this season?
08:48Ooh, I would say I'll always err on the side of me being a paladin, man. Uh, you know, they're,
08:53they're the tank, they're the tanky class. You know, I definitely took a lot of the blows. I was the
08:57target, you know, so I definitely played the beginning, uh, like one, uh, in the middle there,
09:03I would say I probably took a little bit of a hex blade dip, turning on my charisma and, uh,
09:08allowing myself to have a little bit more of a social game. Uh, and at the end, uh, probably
09:14reverted back to, back to a paladin and, and, and being the righteous warrior.
09:20Well, you laid a divine smite on this season, sir. Well, thank you so much for taking the time to
09:25talk to me, especially, you know, again, uh, taking a lot of those perceptions on the chin. It's
09:29very clear that I think you're, you're a very open person, despite how closed off you might've
09:33been in those situations. And I think it seems like from my perspective, you're walking out of
09:36the game with, you know, a very clear head, uh, which is tough to do given how confining the game
09:41was. And again, a little bit of chunk and change to go with it. So I'm sure this will not be the
09:46last time we'll be talking, not the last time we'll be seeing you on our screens. Uh, you know,
09:49hopefully this is just the beginning. So thank you, Keanu for not only talking with me today,
09:53but everything you brought over the past 82 days. Thank you, Mike. I appreciate it,
09:56brother. Thank you so much. Of course, all the best you and yours. Best of luck getting acclimated back
10:00into reality. You got a lot of catch up on that, but have a good night. Thanks again.
10:04Thank you. You too. Bye-bye.
