00:00This is the Express and Star. We're here with Mossley Estate resident Keith Fencott and he's standing next to the premises which one person died and seven were injured from carbon monoxide. And what do you know about it Keith?
00:18Well apparently the incident there was somebody was alerted there was a worry about a chap and the services were now called at 2140 about 23 hours on Friday evening. And they got into the premises and unfortunately the chap was in a bad way.
00:38Emergency services went in there and apparently it was carbon monoxide poisoning probably from a faulty generator. Carbon monoxide is dangerous isn't it?
00:52Well it's a silent killer. Most people have got one in my house you have an alarm don't you? It's really bad.
01:04And the place hadn't opened yet you see? No it was about to be opened. It had been refurbished. I mean it's been like that for months and months and months. But I suppose you have our planning permission and alterations going buildings.
01:17You were saying it's all happening around there wasn't you? What happened to that bus stop the other day?
01:21Well that bus station a few weeks ago got demolished. Apparently somebody was chasing somebody on a bike in a car. So that got demolished.
01:32Yeah.
01:34I don't know. It's obviously drugs. Is it yeah?
01:35No.
01:36No.
01:37I don't know.
01:38I don't know.
01:39I don't know.
01:40It's obviously drugs.
01:41Is it yeah?
01:42It's obviously drugs.
01:43Is it yeah?
01:45They got arrested. I've lived on my sixth stage, but it is taking a bit of a day.
01:54Is it? Why?
01:56I don't know. It's obviously drugs.
02:01Is it? Yeah.
02:02Well, it always is. It's always drugs.
02:05And I've lived in the last minute because there's no problem by me.
02:08I mean, the chap next door to me is from Ghana. I've got no problem.
02:14I don't worry. He's right next to me.
02:18But unfortunately, a couple of weeks ago, the house opposite,
02:22this chap got raided by the police about five o'clock Sunday morning.
02:29Apparently there was probably some lady, some blonde girl,
02:33and I put the signal on the phone on track and went dead.
02:37So the raided in his house. Telling what you can do with him was totally innocent.
02:41Apparently.
02:42You're saying you were speaking to a girl who was living next door and she's scared?
02:46No, no. A girl who works at a shop, she had treatment for the poisoning.
02:54She had treatment for the poisoning, yeah. Okay. But you're okay, Keith?
02:58Oh, yeah. I'd come down here on Saturday morning. I'd see him there.
03:03I'd say, has his fingers back? And the lady told me what happened.
03:07Thank you, Keith.
03:08You're welcome.
03:09That was, it was so nice, too
03:10Come out.
