00:04well we started with two years two years july 2023 you're having you're having rats in the house
00:11we reported it then and they just sent out somebody from the environment
00:18who just put rat boxes down and bit the pipe and after that nothing was done and then
00:25six probably six weeks since we noticed we could hear scratching and then we found we'd had rats
00:35under the kitchen sink in sink uni and then i spoke to other neighbors and they've had the same problem
00:44and you said it's been going on for two years what's the kind of response you've been getting
00:47from the council all they've done is just come and put rat boxes out which you can see
00:52and it's it's hard to from environmental just come out and the gentleman came yesterday he's just
01:04checked in the cupboards but he hasn't found the source of where the rats are going into the houses
01:10no he's checked all the outside cupboards he's had trains up he hasn't looked he says i can't
01:15see where they're going in they were supposed to put rat poison down yesterday which i can't see any
01:21evidence and any new rat poison at all and that's as far as we are with the council at the moment
01:28and what's it been like living in this situation it's not nice because we shouldn't be living in
01:34in this situation we're all the people all the people live in accommodation and we should we're
01:40retired people and we shouldn't be wondering every morning is there going to be a rat in your living
01:44room or in your kitchen but this is where it came to you're scared to get up in the morning and wonder
01:50is there going to be a rat in your living room or in your kitchen
