00:00The Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission has confirmed that the alleged forgery and falsification of documents involving seven mixed heritage players in the Harimau Malaya squad does not fall under its jurisdiction.
00:14MACC said preliminary checks found that the issue appeared to be related to technical procedures beyond its scope.
00:21In a statement, it's said that no offences under the MACC Act 2009 had been identified at this stage.
00:28In light of these findings, it's said it would not be engaging with FIFA and would instead leave the matter entirely to the Football Association of Malaysia to resolve directly with the international football body.
00:42On Friday, FIFA's disciplinary committee said FAM must pay a fine of 350,000 Swiss francs.
00:50The seven players were also fined 2,000 Swiss francs each and given a 12-month suspension effective immediately.
