00:00You mentioned before about menopause and how it affected you so badly.
00:05Terribly, terribly.
00:06And no one to talk about it with.
00:08Eventually I talked to my son because I really felt in a dark place.
00:12But my mother sailed through the menopause
00:14and it wasn't something from that era that they really talked about.
00:17But I got myself living in America.
00:19I was away from my mum at the time.
00:20Got myself in a really down and out place.
00:23I mean, no one seemed to understand me.
00:25It affected my teaching.
00:27I go to work every day.
00:28I was a little bit sharper with everyone.
00:29A lovely young man called Wrangel took me to one side.
00:33He said, I don't know what's going on in your life,
00:34but this isn't the teacher that we're used to.
00:36And that was a wake-up call.
00:38And then I spoke to my son.
00:39He had a doctor.
00:40And then I did bioidentical hormones and my life changed forever.
00:43And it just literally pulled you out of that darkness?
00:45Just to get my body balanced.
00:47So my body was way unbalanced.
00:50And now I do that check once a year.
00:52I get my hormones checked just to make sure even at 65
00:55that everything's working and functioning and so on.
00:59I'll see you in the background.
