00:00Welcome everyone. So today we are going to understand why the answer for this question is not supposed to be 1.
00:05See 9 divided by 3 is 3. 9 divided by 3 is 3. 3 divided by 3 is 1.
00:10No, that's not how this is supposed to be done. Whenever you have a division involved, you have to always go from left to right.
00:19Means whatever operation happens first on your left hand side has to be done first.
00:229 divided by 3 is 3 divided by 9 divided by 3. So 3 divided by 9 is 1 upon 3 divided by 3.
00:32Now whenever there is a fraction involved, lot of people get confused.
00:35So for that a simple hack is follow the rules of KCF where K stands for keeping the first number as it is.
00:42C stands for changing the division sign to multiplication.
00:45F stands for flipping or taking reciprocal of the next number. In this case reciprocal of 3 is 1 upon 3.
00:51So answer for this question is supposed to be 1 by 9.
00:55I hope this is very very clear to everyone.
00:58That's it for today. I will see you in the next video.
