00:00I don't know, I can talk about what we want and what we want is to have our best players
00:21and the players that certainly we believe that they can still give much more to the
00:25club and what we want to achieve with us and so far we are achieving it, game by case.
00:32Were there any notes about when you heard the noise around him?
00:41I don't know if that's the right word, I think what you are hoping is that when you make the
00:47decision that you want to extend a player's contract and life with the club is that they
00:53feel the same way. If suddenly you feel that this is not happening, I think you need to question
01:00the whole process again because I don't think that's a good starting point for anything that
01:04you want to build. So we haven't had to go through that because it was very clear,
01:10in particular Willy, that he wanted to stay with us.
01:12And just finally, so Martin could come back into the team. I think there's a general kind of feeling that if you have a
01:19captain of a club, the captain has to start, he has to play. Do you share about, well, that despite
01:25they may not be in the best form or might not be fully fit, that the captain has to start?
01:29Well, ideally, your captain is a starter, yes. And that's what happened with Martin. I mean,
01:39he's been overstarted so far this season and last season. Unfortunately, he's picked some injuries
01:43and that's why he has missed some matches. But that's it.
01:45I guess you're in a position now though where, because he hasn't been in formal fit,
01:50and the competition in the field, but there is a chance. But in some games you might decide.
01:56Yeah, but Martin certainly has the capacity not to do too much and not to train too much and
02:01go in two days and perform at the highest level because he's naturally a super gifted fit player.
02:09Hi, I'm Kel. Just on your record at Newcastle, the European Ryder Cup team have prepared
02:15for going to America to New York this week by using VR headsets to simulate the crown ones.
02:22OK. I just wonder, have you been preparing for your trip to St. John's Vine in particular
02:26different ways? Because you obviously threw four out of the last five.
02:33Yeah, we certainly need to do things better and we're going to talk from today, especially the
02:39things that, in my opinion, are going to make the difference to win the game
02:41and take the game as much as possible in that direction.
02:44There's not no plans for anything?
02:46No VR. We're not going to use that. I think I'm running late with that idea.
02:51And do you think, obviously you're forward, do you think you have to sort of approach things
02:56quite differently to how you've done in the past and maybe, you're not going to sell us,
02:59but a different kind of game plan?
03:01Yeah. I would go to the efficiency a lot, because a lot of times we have played a game
03:07that was very similar to, in my opinion, give us the best chance to win it, but we haven't been able
03:12to seal it. And that's the demands. We have done it at home, we did imprecision against them,
03:18so we are more than capable to do it. And that's the confidence that we're going to play the game with.
03:24Do you think it's a bit of a mental block at the moment, because obviously you've played quite a lot
03:28in the last few seasons, that you need to have overcome?
03:30No, because we have won and we have lost as well. And the last few results down there,
03:36they could have been very different. I mean, when we played the second game in the semi-final,
03:40after two minutes, Martin Odege is in front of the goal, he scores a goal, he's looking
03:44about something else. So it's going to be those moments that we need to be clinical and efficient
03:49to win those games.
03:50Okay, if I need to go.
03:52Hi, Miquel.
03:53Hi.
03:55Moving away from Saliva, but staying on against Newcastle this year, three goals draws in the
04:00Premier League. The one victory they had was 2-0 against Wolves. So is this going to be a case
04:07on Sunday where the Arsenal's so-called handbrake would be left off?
04:13Well, we're going to be trying to be as dominant as we possibly can always,
04:17with a lot of attacking players and attacking threat. And to create that threat from various
04:23ways, because it's not only one way, it's a lot of ways that we can hurt them and we're going to
04:28try in different ways.
04:31And you mentioned, I think earlier on you described the atmosphere as beautiful,
04:36but it's an atmosphere that hasn't done you a lot of good over the years. I mean,
04:42deep down, do the players maybe carry a little bit of that tension going up there?
04:46No, because those atmospheres as well, you learn a lot. And as a player, you learn a lot
04:53about yourself as well, about the team, about moments and how you cope with that. And that
04:58atmosphere maybe has helped us a lot to go into Champions League games, away from home,
05:03against the Bernabeu and feel like you can still be so dominant on the plays and play the way we want
05:09to play. So there's always a lot of things that you can take from games.
05:13Okay, guys, thanks very much. Thank you.
05:16Yeah, thank you.
