00:00Ah, Billy, no!
00:11Danny!
00:16Trackies, come out!
00:23Get the one off the floor, it's all she's on the floor.
00:26Alright, darling.
00:30Alright, I'm on, I'm on.
00:35Okay, baby.
00:37Billy's parents are using this terrifying encounter to raise awareness about her condition.
00:41Billy was born 13 weeks early, weighing just a tiny 790 grams.
00:45She was born this early due to me having severe preeclampsia.
00:48I got super poorly at 24 weeks, and it just went downhill from there, really.
00:52My blood pressure was ridiculously high, and I had swollen to the point where I just didn't even recognize myself anymore.
00:59Billy was diagnosed with chronic lung disease and tracheobronchomalacia after her lungs collapsed on her moments after being born.
01:06We had lots of difficult discussions about her not making it throughout her hospital stay.
01:10And ultimately, when she was six months old, the decision was made to give her a tracheostomy.
01:14We decided on this to give her the best chance of growing and getting home, and also being able to develop as normal as possible.
01:21She missed out on so much of that.
01:23They've tried so hard to be the best parents possible for Billy, despite constant negative attention and comments online.
01:29Some of the comments are awful.
01:31Like, you can't put her through that.
01:33This is no life for a baby.
01:34You're being cruel.
01:36It's just rude and ignorant.
01:38She's faced every hurdle that you can even, or you can't even think of, if I'm honest.
01:43All of this is to support her and let her grow and develop as normally as possible, and then hopefully have it out one day.
01:49But some of the comments are awful.
01:52They're now starting to see some promising results after months of intense treatments.
01:56We have some huge, huge news.
01:59Billy's allowed to do two 13-minute breaks throughout the day, which they will revisit in a few weeks to see how she's doing and whether we can increase any further.
02:07There was, of course, a little bit of drama at first.
02:09She coughed a lot and then threw up.
02:11But we've been reassured that she just needs time to adjust and get used to breathing all by herself.
02:16Since we've been home, though, she's been absolutely smashing it.
02:19I think maybe she was just out of her comfort zone.
02:21I still can't believe that for the first time in her life, Billy is breathing all by herself for one whole hour.
02:28And that's not the only good news.
02:30Billy has found her voice again after initially losing it to her tracheotomy.
02:34She's currently doing really well.
02:48Her future is looking really, really positive.
02:50Fingers crossed she carries on absolutely smashing it.
02:53And then she can just be running around the school playground one day and God, we'll be thinking, wow, we've made it.
02:59Fingers crossed.
03:00So thank you.
03:00Thank you guys.
