00:00This is our first ever dated D-matic.
00:03Are you excited?
00:05I am so relieved.
00:06And I am honestly, it's hard.
00:09And then you're gonna have a seat right here on the bed.
00:11But how much does this wild procedure cost?
00:13This completely free service was offered by the salon,
00:16with it taking over one and a half hours to complete.
00:19But how does the salon owner justify using such a powerful depressant?
00:23People use anesthesia for tattoos.
00:25They use it for cosmetic surgeries like bracelets.
00:28And the secret truth as to why people get these risky surgeries?
00:32Because they wanna feel better about themselves
00:33and are willing to pay for that experience.
00:36But more importantly, the client wasn't in any discomfort, no pain.
00:41There was a team of four of them, plus an assistant helping out.
00:44But is something like this even legal?
00:46Or is this salon owner walking a fine line between hairdressing and arrest?
00:50I want everybody to know that this was done under a medical team.
00:54And we were there simply to demount the hair,
00:57while the doctors and anesthesiologists took care of everything.
01:02There are so many reasons that somebody's hair can get matted.
01:04But we don't care.
01:05We don't judge.
01:06And it's not about that.
01:08We're here to simply demount the hair and make the client as comfortable as possible.
01:12Now, something like this would have typically taken us at least three hours in the salon.
01:17She slept through the entire makeover.
01:19But when she opens her eyes, will she love what she sees?
01:23Ready to see your hair?
01:24Yes.
01:25Great.
01:26You didn't even have to be awake for it.
01:29No, I mean, that was the great part.
01:32Didn't even feel any of it.
01:34I think so consciously maybe.
01:35Yeah.
01:36I made my arm.
01:37But yeah, no, it feels good.
01:38And honestly, my head isn't tender.
01:41Good.
01:42But is the client okay after taking such extreme measures?
01:45You know, I feel good.
01:46A little groggy, of course.
01:48But I actually feel really good.
01:50I know.
01:51It feels so good to have it back.
01:53Do you think we should do more of these?
01:54I do.
01:55I mean, I think it's a wonderful thing.
01:57I'd be surprised if a bunch of people didn't sign up for it.
02:01Yeah.
02:02Well, thank you, Becky.
02:03Yeah.
02:04Thank you guys so much.
02:05We did it.
02:06You were under for an hour.
02:07Can you believe it?
02:08No.
02:09That's a short time, actually.
02:11But yeah.
02:13You did wonderful.
02:14Oh, great.
02:15And can we see what the hair looks like?
02:16But will her hair pass the final, most important test?
02:21Yes.
02:21Look at all her hair is there.
02:23Nothing has been cut off.
02:26There's no missing pieces here.
02:28It's all her thick, beautiful hair.
02:30Becky, we just want to say thank you for coming all the way from Arizona.
02:33Oh, absolutely.
02:35I hope you have a thing, Rob.
02:37Great.
02:37Yeah.
02:38And you're our first dematting sedation client.
02:41Oh, wow.
02:42Like, hopefully this goes down in history.
02:44Absolutely.
02:45Good luck to you guys.
02:46Hold on.
02:47No, I have not been arrested.
02:48There are videos going around that I've been arrested for the sedation dematting.
02:52And that is simply not.
02:53Do you think this process is as harmless as she claims?
02:56Or should this procedure be something only done in the most extreme circumstances?
