00:00He will turn our attention to the battle in Pittsburgh, Louisville and Pitt.
00:04Louisville goes on the road this coming Saturday, coach.
00:07There are four and a half point road favorite total right now checks in at 57 and a half across multiple books.
00:14They haven't played since 2023, but Pitt does leave the all time series 11 to 10 over the Cardinals.
00:22This is the Cardinals first true road test of the year.
00:25Pitt coming out of a bye week after the loss to West Virginia.
00:29How do you see it playing out?
00:31Boy, you know, this is an example of not having enough body of work.
00:35Louisville's played no power four teams.
00:37You really don't know what you got.
00:38Pitt's played one.
00:39They lost to West Virginia after leading in the fourth and losing in overtime.
00:44Fourteen penalties.
00:45The leadership just was not there.
00:48You just don't know where these teams are as far as how strong and how good they are.
00:53I just have this feeling that Louisville is the better team and they'll go get their mark
00:58and get themselves going.
01:00Now, the word out is they may lose Watson and Isaac Brown.
01:03The two running top backs may not play.
01:06That may change my thinking.
01:08But if they can get one of those two in the game, I think it'll help them because I know
01:11Brom likes to have a strong running attack and a strong running back with Miller Malsic
01:16quarterback.
01:17But I like Louisville.
01:18With what I've watched and I've watched against the people, I just don't think I've seen enough
01:22against the poor opening three games that we have.
01:26And when you look at just Louisville as a whole, they struggled against JMU.
01:33They were a 14 and a half point favorite.
01:35They won, but they didn't cover that matchup.
01:37Miller Moss going on the road.
01:39This is his first true test playing in the conference pit.
01:43We know at times has been able to step up.
01:45But when you lose a game, a rivalry game, especially the backyard brawl to West Virginia, where you
01:51had a double digit fourth quarter lead and you relinquished that, that's a difficult pill
01:56to swallow, especially when you didn't play the following week.
01:59They are coming out of a bye week.
02:02How important is that for Pitt and their head coach, Pat Narduzzi, to potentially step up
02:07and get that extra week of preparation?
02:08Well, they need that because they had 14 penalties.
02:13And if you just listen to their coach, it came from leaders.
02:16It came from veterans.
02:18They had mistakes out of people that are supposed to be leading that team.
02:21And you need to have a closed door come to Jesus meeting with these guys.
02:25Say, fellas, we need you to do to lead.
02:27The other guys are going to follow when you're out there causing penalties.
02:30You're making mistakes when we have a chance to walk away.
02:33That's not just a game.
02:34That's the backyard brawl against West Virginia.
02:37They all know how important that is.
02:39And so the off week is a good week to get attention.
02:42And this early in the season, you don't necessarily have to rest your guys.
02:47You can get after a little bit because you're still not worn out as you would be halfway
02:50through the season.
02:52Absolutely.
02:52I think when I look at this Pitt team, the one thing that stands out for me, still playing
02:56solid third down defense, holding opposing offenses to only 26% of their third down opportunities.
03:03We've seen inconsistency with Louisville at times offensively and defensively.
03:09They are undefeated, but I'll still take the home team with the points.
03:12Total wise, I think I lean to the undercoach.
03:15If Pitt's going to win this game, I think it is trending under that total.
03:19If Louisville does win, I think we fly through the 57 and a half.
03:24Yeah.
03:24The only thing I see another thing about Pitt, you know, they lose to West Virginia and here's
03:29West Virginia gets beat by Ohio before that and gets blown out by Kansas after that.
03:35And you kind of wonder really how good West Virginia is as well to have knocked them off
03:39in that game.
03:40So again, I think there's a little bit of unknown about both these football teams as far as how
03:45good they really are at this point in the season.
03:48I like Louisville going there and I like them with the points.
