Half-finished Minehead homes should become social housing, says local councillor

00:10Stratton Land Ltd had been constructing the Exmoor Gate housing development, comprising

00:1669 homes on the southern side of the A39 Pawlock Road in Minehead, on the fridges of

00:22the Exmoor National Park.

00:25The developer had experienced viability issues with the site, securing permission from the

00:30council in February to reduce its contribution towards a new community centre in the town.

00:37The London-based company called in the administrators in late May, meaning the remaining homes within

00:43the site will be significantly delayed, or possibly not built at all.
