00:00Hello there, good evening. It's a fine evening in store for many, fairly similar to what we've had earlier in the week.
00:06But a change is on its way over the weekend, eventually high pressure shifting its way eastwards,
00:11allowing low pressure to take hold and pushing in this frontal system as we head through into the weekend.
00:16So it's likely we'll see more rain and possibly some strong gusty winds associated with this feature as we head through into Saturday.
00:22But before we talk about that, let's talk about this evening.
00:25And once again, as that high pressure does move its way eastwards, it will change our wind direction slightly.
00:30So we'll see more cloud push into parts of East Anglia, Sussex and Kent, possibly some cloud and some isolated showers pushing into Yorkshire and Lincolnshire too.
00:38But for most, it's going to remain dry.
00:40Once again, some clear skies, particularly in the west, so it's likely we'll see some mist and fog, possibly even some rural frost once again.
00:47But most towns and cities will remain in the mid to high single figures.
00:51Now, a slightly different story across western Scotland.
00:54We'll really see winds start to pick up here through the overnight period.
00:57So it's going to be quite a bright but blustery start, remaining dry through most of the day, though.
01:02But this cloud across the southeast will eventually push its way westwards, so turning to more cloudier skies across central and eastern parts of England.
01:09Once again, this cloud could be thick enough to produce the odd isolated shower.
01:13Quite breezy too across southeastern coasts and still fairly blustery across the north.
01:18So it's not going to be feeling quite as warm, particularly across the southeast.
01:27Heading into the evening with more cloud around, temperatures won't drop quite as low, so it's probably going to be slightly milder than what we've had earlier in the week.
01:34A mix of cloud and also some clearer skies, so we could drop to the low single figures in some areas.
01:39But the main change is going to be this rain starting to push into northern Ireland, western parts of Scotland, as we head through into the early hours of Saturday.
01:46So a very wet start here if you do wake up early through into the morning.
01:50Temperatures once again in the mid to high single figures.
01:55Now, Saturday is going to be fairly unsettled.
01:57This band of rain is quite slow moving, eventually clearing northern Ireland, pushing eastwards into parts of Scotland,
02:03eventually pushing into Wales, southwest England and northwest England later into the afternoon.
02:07So this means it's going to bring some quite persistent outbreaks of rain, heavy at times, and possibly some strong gusty winds.
02:14But for most of the country, particularly further east, it should be once again another dry, bright day,
02:18perhaps just more cloud around compared to what we've seen this afternoon.
02:21And it will eventually clear northern Ireland, so brightening up here with a chance of showers.
02:25Once again, not feeling quite as warm.
02:27Fairly similar temperatures to Thursday afternoon, so 17 to 18 degrees Celsius.
02:33Now, we will eventually say goodbye to these outbreaks of rain.
02:37And the system will push its way eastwards, but it could be quite slow moving, possibly bringing some longer spells of rain through Sunday.
02:43And then once again, we remain in this westerly flow, so a chance of sunny spells, but also some blustery showers.
