00:00A big savings festival for car buyers as well with prices cut announced by the major automakers.

00:06Consumers are lining up to book the new cars.

00:09This is Navaratri.

00:10My colleague Anuraksha is at Hyundai's Sai Auto showroom in Kandhivalli

00:14to gauge how customers are reacting to this festive bonanza,

00:18especially after Hyundai cut prices up to 2.4 lakh rupees across its lineup.

00:23First day of Navaratri and presently I am at Sai Auto Hyundai in Mumbai's Kandhivalli area

00:32and preparations are on for new car deliveries and as per staff members,

00:40they are expecting lot of new bookings because customers were waiting for 22nd of September Navaratri

00:50and new rates.

00:52So from today, GST rates on smaller cars reduced from 28% to 18%.

01:00So on cars like I-10, I-20, Venue, Aster, there is a benefit of 80 to 90,000 rupees for customer

01:10and for cars like Creta also, there is a benefit of 50 to 60,000.

01:15So staff members of this showroom are expecting more than 20 bookings today

01:22and for all Navaratri days, they are expecting new bookings

01:26and for the new bookings, the delivery will be done on the day of Dashera or near the Diwali.
