00:01PKR Vice President R. Ramanan has hit back at former KLANG MP Charles Santiago,
00:06who accused him of ignoring the realities of non-Malay dissatisfaction with the Unity government's performance.
00:13Ramanan asked if he could still be accused of neglecting the Indians
00:16when more than 500 million ringgit had been channeled to the community
00:20through the Entrepreneur Development and Cooperatives Ministry, where he is the deputy minister.
00:26The Sungai Bulo MP said he hoped Santiago could teach him what it means to not ignore the non-Malayas
00:32and insisted the community was receiving greater benefits under the present administration.
00:38Ramanan, who also questioned Santiago's record as an MP,
00:41said nearly RM1 billion had been distributed through Sumangan Tunai Rahmah and Sumangan Asas Rahmah cash aid programs.
00:49On Monday, Santiago said Ramanan's view that the government's Madani vision
00:53had forced Perikatan National to expand its focus towards non-Malay voters was a misdiagnosis,
01:00which could lead to the wrong solution being produced as the next general election approaches.
01:05He said the reason PN was reaching out to non-Malay voters was that PAS and PN can smell Pucha Jaya now.
