00:00Good evening and welcome to the grand finale of the traitors Ireland uncloaked with me Kevin McGahern
00:0524 players 12 episodes six traitors three coffins and only one party
00:10What a series so fun Lynn as we debrief that dramatic last episode with all our finalists. Wilkin. Are you following this so far?
00:19Fair play to you. But before we go any further
00:21If you haven't watched the final episode of the traitors do that now on the RT player as this episode will be dropping more truth bombs than iron at a round table
00:30Coming up, we will have Siobhan McSweeney here to give us the lowdown and all the carry-on in the castle
00:36We will chat to the traitors turned faithful slayers Nick and Ben to unpack that final day and
00:42The winners Vanessa Ian and Kelly will be here for their first ever interview. Don't go anywhere
00:55What a finale we'll be chatting to the finalists very soon
00:58But now we are joined by the queen of the castle the magnificent Siobhan McSweeney
01:16All right, that's actually that's like 20% too much. Yeah, no a bit much guys will rehearse it again
01:23Siobhan McSweeney, how are you first of all? I am
01:28Overwhelmed and bewildered actually
01:31I'm really it's this the first time I've seen I've just called them my babies
01:35I've just seen all the contestants there and it's really gorgeous to see them all
01:39And I have been away in a bubble filming something else
01:44So I really haven't been you have many you don't know the mania that is sweeping across this country
01:50I I really don't imagine if all four Beatles were just potty. That's basically
01:55That's the level of hysteria we're all the number of films we'd have about
02:01Well that finale was unbelievable was it as emotional for you as it was for the rest of us. Yes. Yes, I think I think what um, oh
02:10I I think what people need to
02:13Understand is that we all went through and I think I think our lovely contestants would agree
02:19The production team and myself and we we went through it with them. We were working the same hours. I mean nobody was working as hard as potty
02:28Although nobody ate as much as potty either
02:30So I think easy what he got his way just from some of this
02:34Well, he needed the energy the poor man didn't sleep more than 45 minutes for two weeks
02:38I think but we were all doing it together and it like a really felt like we were together. So
02:45It by the end we were all at our very last shred of sanity. Yeah. Yeah, we were all demented
02:51The series was very Irish from the couple of fuckle to the cup on tea to the ole ole and don't even talk about the Carson
02:58I
03:00Now have one final important question to ask you
03:04Would you like a cup of tea?
03:09Take a tea tea tea tea tea tea tea tea tea tea tea tea tea tea no
03:12Don't drink tea or coffee. That makes you a traitor. You don't drink tea or coffee. What the hell? Okay, run. It's grand. That's grand
03:19Jesus Christ
03:20Jesus Christ
03:21Jesus Christ
03:22Fuck
03:23Oh fuck off
03:24Shit
03:25I fucked up
03:26Wished
03:27D for
03:28D for
03:29Dope
03:30That's fucking nasty so it is
03:31Stop fucking saying that
03:32I know we're fucking faithful
03:33Oh fuck
03:34Excuse me, sorry
03:35I'm not a fucking awkward
03:36We had to get potty the last words
03:46What is it about the show that made it feel particularly Irish to you?
03:51Well, I think I think we it's such a well-known franchise really and the whole challenge is to for it to be as good as the other one
03:59Yeah, and also to put our own mark on it really so it was really lovely that we were able to have the cup of fuckle that we a lot of the iconography was very Celtic
04:08The home I loved the home. Yeah, yeah, and and lots of other things like even the the school benches BQ
04:15Yeah, with the little ink pots. That's right. Yeah PTSD getting into them, you know, I couldn't get into them then can't get into them now
04:22But for me personally it had to do with like all the Irish designers that I really wanted to
04:29Can we have a round of applause for the outfits?
04:32Yeah
04:33Unbelievable
04:35Yeah
04:36There is
04:40There's such
04:42There's such a wealth of talent in this country and we tend to think that we know what that is because we're usually trying to sell it to the Yanks
04:50Yeah, but actually there is such a wealth of talent when it comes to
04:55Textiles and fashion and it's not just literature
04:58But if you noticed even last night's episode a beautiful kimono that I was wearing had Cara Deelish written on it and we had Fjalltor written on things
05:06There were there were little Easter eggs there that only added to the design so I'm really proud that I got to on my
05:14Lumping beautiful self got to showcase a few Irish designers, you know
05:18Well, they were fabulous outfits I got to say thank you very much
05:21We have to talk about our three OG traitors
05:25The OG traitors!
05:26The OG crew!
05:28Starting with the only female traitor
05:30Isn't that lovely?
05:32You weren't like that before I tell you
05:34Starting with our only female traitors Caitlin, how do you think she managed with the other two lads on either side of her?
05:41Actually there was not a bother to her
05:44What made me giggle about Caitlin was the way she came in like Pippi Longstocking
05:49Hi, I am innocent, I'm loving you like my earrings
05:54I wear pigtails, I must be non-threatening
05:57One of the smartest, most powerful women I know just looking at her
06:04Dun dun dun dun dun dun dun
06:06Absolutely extraordinary, but God bless you for thinking a few flowery dresses would
06:11Would convince us otherwise, but by God you were well able, well able for the two boys
06:16And I mean like
06:18Eamon was extraordinary
06:21I mean I think Eamon, like the biggest villain we've had ever
06:25I mean move over Cromwell
06:32But what I loved about Eamon is that Eamon for me, and he's just behind the camera there so I can't see him
06:36Is he glaring at me? No you are my beautiful boy
06:41The thing about Eamon which I found so interesting
06:44Because remember I was learning along with you as well, you know
06:47Like we were all guinea pigs this time round weren't we?
06:50Next year, if there is one next year, what'll it be like?
06:53Yeah, anyway
06:55Hats, lots of hats
06:57But Eamon went in with a game plan didn't he?
07:00And he was like and I was like there's something about this show
07:04That if you go in with a game plan you're almost
07:07Like look at Paul D, I don't think Paul D went in with a game plan
07:10And look how long he lasted
07:12So it's almost a question of being able to adapt on the hoof
07:16You know, there was a real three different approaches
07:19Paul D sort of approached you like a jazz musician
07:22Like he was just going day by day
07:24What's happening now? Okay, I'm moving this way
07:26Alright, now I'm going to move this way
07:27Yeah
07:28Eamon had a strict sort of plan that he wasn't going to deviate from
07:33And I wonder whether that was how he was found out in the end
07:37You know, like do you need to be more flexible?
07:39It's very interesting
07:40Yeah
07:41But also how are you to know until you go in there?
07:42Do you think Paddy's a genius?
07:44I do
07:49I can't trust that answer after the longest laugh in the world
07:54Will you be voting for Paddy in the coming election?
07:57Oh, but I'm running his campaign
07:58Very good
08:01I'd like to live in a country run by Paddy
08:04It's like free sandwiches at every bus stop
08:06Yeah
08:07Like no parent would ever say who their favourite child is
08:13Yeah
08:14But come on, who's your favourite child?
08:16Oh, I couldn't say
08:17Diane
08:23What is it about Diane you love so much?
08:27Well, there's two
08:29And by favourite what I mean is sort of like people who I wish I saw a bit more
08:33Like Diane you were absolutely wonderful
08:35And Diane for me you are the epitome of a kind of Irish woman that I don't see enough of on telly
08:41And you should have been there longer
08:43And also what I loved about you is that you were completely authentically yourself
08:48And so the eyebrows going up
08:50And you were being accused
08:52I was like
08:54Somebody explained the rules to Diane
08:56You were absolutely out for it
08:59Like why are they trying
09:00That's the game Diane
09:01That's the game
09:02And no, I thought you were wonderful and I was gutted to see you go
09:07You have an absolutely wonderful energy about you and I enjoyed you immensely
09:12I also really enjoyed Joe
09:15Yeah
09:16I really
09:17And I mean I say I I you know I'm picking the two of these obviously you know that I loved every single one of you
09:30And do you give a damn anyway whether I do not
09:33Yeah
09:34Oh no
09:35You've been their mother figure for the last four weeks
09:38And that is why we're a nation of dysfunctional people
09:42But that final day was incredibly tense
09:45Yeah
09:46Like it kind of became the girls versus the boys
09:48Yeah
09:49Did you have any inclination as which way it was going to go?
09:51No, I didn't
09:52But like that was it the whole way through
09:55We I've never I've never done a job like this before
09:59And by the end I was saying I will never do a job like this again because you would start your day
10:05In the middle of the night
10:07And you did not know when you were going to finish work for that day
10:10Yeah
10:11You just did not know
10:12You would think every single time I went into the round table going I know what's going to happen
10:16The production team would go we know what's going to happen
10:19We know how many cars we need or whilalala
10:22And like maybe tell catering we don't need the sandwiches at midnight
10:26No
10:27It would all change
10:29We could never ever ever call it
10:31I think that's why it was such an enjoyable show to watch
10:33Yeah, yeah, you just couldn't tell
10:35Well, you brought so much to this series from your fabulous costumes to your fierce one-liners
10:39You have been the ultimate queen of the castle
10:42Let's remind ourselves
10:44Hello lovelies
10:45Let the good times roll
10:47Oh, what an outfit
10:50I'm obsessed with everything Siobhan wears
10:52Hiya
10:53Oh, hey
10:54Oh, hey
10:56Keep going
10:57Apologies having a bath
10:58Nick and Ben
10:59You were nowhere near
11:01Nowhere near it at all
11:03Like, honestly, dudes
11:04Welcome to my little sanctuary
11:06Hello
11:07Too good to kneel
11:08See you later, baby dolls
11:10By placing a pishog
11:12What's a pishog?
11:13Do that
11:14Vanessa, this will go much quicker
11:16When you don't annoy me
11:17Open
11:19And now you know
11:20Now I know
11:21Now I know
11:22There's daddy all along
11:24Poor Dave
11:25There's so few of you
11:30Look at me
11:31Do you want to say?
11:32Time for you to commit your first murder
11:35Delighted with himself
11:38Later, traitors
11:41Siobhan, on behalf of the nation
11:43On behalf of the nation
11:51On behalf of the nation
11:53I'd like to say
11:54Goera maithagat
11:55You did a phenomenal job
11:56You brought class
11:57Cooplafuckal
11:58And most importantly
11:59Crack
12:00To the traitors Ireland
12:012025
12:02Thank you
12:04Thank you
12:06Thank you
12:08Oh God
12:09Another
12:10Another two people who brought energy
12:11Of a very different kind
12:12Were our traitor slayers
12:13Turn backstabbers
12:14Where there's Nick
12:15There's Ben
12:16This little bromance
12:17Was like shooting a 65
12:18Around the golf course
12:19At the weekend
12:20Whatever the fuck that means
12:25An emotion
12:26Rolling around the bed
12:27And a load of 50 euros
12:33I'm so close to Nick in here
12:34That's my thought
12:35On every breakfast
12:37Is he gonna be there?
12:38Thank you so much
12:39Hello
12:41There's no denying Ben
12:42Is my best mate in here
12:44He's had my back
12:45I don't know how many times
12:46Why do you think it's me
12:47You'd be like wanting to save me
12:49If I'm a traitor
12:50You're the first person who goes
12:51Because you'll see straight away
12:53The change in me
12:54I really don't know
12:55Who it is
13:01Yeah
13:02Do you think I'd leave you out?
13:03So Ben
13:04Do you accept?
13:05I accept
13:08Did he look after me
13:09Or did he look after me?
13:10Looking forward to getting him on board
13:12Working with him
13:13And murdering
13:14Welcome to the conclave
13:16How are you feeling?
13:17Happy to be here now
13:18I'm looking across
13:19Who it is with me
13:20You're both very delighted
13:21Aren't you?
13:22Yeah
13:23Couldn't have worked out better
13:24I don't think
13:25Nick and Ben
13:26What a series you both had
13:37From faithfuls to traitors
13:39But at least you had each other
13:41So when exactly did you both realise
13:43That you'd found the one
13:45Straight away
13:46Straight away
13:47It was like
13:48Love at foresight
13:49Looked on the other's eyes
13:50I gotta ask
13:51The synchronised arrow pull
13:53That looked rehearsed
13:54No
13:55Actually Nick had done it
13:56Actually I think
13:57When we got a trailer
13:58Before I can't remember which one
13:59And I was like
14:00Like that
14:01So then it was like
14:02When we caught another one
14:03I was like Nick
14:04Come on
14:05Let's go
14:06It was a beautiful synchronisation
14:08I gotta say
14:09You got so far
14:10In the game lads
14:11Did you get too cocky
14:12In the end?
14:13Yes
14:14Yeah
14:15Yeah
14:20Describe
14:23Describe how you were feeling
14:24On that last day
14:27Well it was a mixed emotion
14:28And we
14:29Obviously the admission
14:30Was incredible
14:31It was incredible to share
14:32With obviously our friends
14:33But
14:34There's the thought
14:35In the back of your mind
14:36To come
14:37And every round table
14:38Was so intense
14:39So we knew eventually
14:40What was to come
14:41Yeah
14:42And also you're thinking
14:43About what happened
14:44The previous night as well
14:45So
14:46When everyone's coming in
14:47For breakfast
14:48No one's
14:49As you can see
14:50No one's really talking
14:51It was awkward
14:52It was like
14:53The breakfast after a wedding
14:54After somebody
14:55Punched a bride
14:56Exactly
14:57Like
14:58Pass the crosshands
14:59Nick
15:00I gotta say though
15:01That last round table
15:02Where
15:03There was a lot of heat
15:04On you
15:05The girls came with receipts
15:06They did
15:07And they were on you
15:08But you remained
15:09I gotta say
15:10Very very cool
15:11And collective
15:12I don't know
15:13I would have crumbled
15:14Yeah
15:15I probably pushed about
15:16A little bit too far
15:17For that
15:18Thank god much
15:19But I had to fight my corner
15:20I had to go for it
15:21So I was never gonna back down
15:22We wanted to
15:23We wanted to give it our all
15:24So all or nothing
15:25I have to try and win
15:26But ultimately
15:27They called us out in our BS
15:28We were both shocked
15:29With that though
15:30Because when we were talking
15:31We thought they were gonna come for me
15:32So then you can see actually
15:33In the show
15:34When they say
15:35I think
15:36Someone goes for Nick
15:37And he's like
15:38Cause he wasn't expecting
15:39Cause we thought they were coming for me
15:40We were ready to defend Ben
15:41So I had like this pitch for Ben
15:42I was like
15:43Let's go
15:44And then she comes at me
15:45And I was like
15:46Oh fuck
15:47Well we got a bone to pick with you
15:48Over Faye
15:49Like lads
15:50You backstabbed your best friend
15:52How could you have done that for?
15:54It's erm
15:55This is like a panto audience
15:57Not good
15:59We erm
16:00Yeah we did
16:01We struggled with this
16:02With this one for ages
16:03Because obviously
16:04The name of the game is
16:05To get to the final
16:06And get the money
16:07And we were on one side
16:08Faye was on the other
16:09We would have to do it eventually
16:11And
16:12So it was a mercy killing
16:13Yeah
16:14Well we actually didn't know
16:15What would be worse
16:16Taking her to the final
16:17Than having to do it
16:18Or doing it then
16:19So basically you did her a favour
16:21You're welcome
16:22Thank you Siobhan
16:23You're welcome
16:24Show a bit of gratitude Faye actually
16:27Yeah no
16:28It was horrible
16:29Like we felt terrible
16:30Yeah like you could see
16:31In her reaction
16:32You could totally see
16:33We didn't want to do it
16:34But it is still just a game
16:35So
16:36Do you think though
16:37If you kept her in
16:38100%
16:39Yeah
16:40Well
16:41But yeah
16:42There's that confidence
16:43I was talking about earlier
16:44Crain it in Nick
16:45Crain it in
16:46I still
16:47The fact that we done it
16:48Well I still felt anyway
16:49We could still
16:50Do that
16:51And possibly win the game
16:52As well
16:53We might have had a better chance
16:54If we had kept there
16:55But we don't know
16:56It felt like it just slipped away
16:58When we did it though
16:59It just
17:00With how strong Owen was
17:01At that table
17:02She was incredible
17:03And it just felt like
17:04We had to go that way
17:05To save face a little bit
17:06And when
17:07When
17:08We obviously got rid of Faye
17:09Then it was kind of like
17:10Okay
17:11We're really going to struggle now
17:12To pull the wool out
17:13They were so smart
17:14Those three of them
17:15Were so smart
17:16So hard to get by them
17:17And obviously they
17:18They caught us
17:19Well Nick
17:20You were the man responsible
17:21For taking out
17:22Future president of this country
17:23Pawdy
17:24Have you anything to say to the nation
17:26Who are still in mourning
17:27I know
17:28It's tough
17:29Pawdy was
17:30Pawdy was
17:31Pawdy
17:32That could mean
17:33Anything
17:34And I meant exactly that
17:36No
17:37Pawdy
17:38Pawdy played a brilliant game
17:39I didn't mean to go for
17:41I wanted to
17:42Go on longer with Pawdy
17:43And obviously
17:44Pat called me out
17:45The day before
17:47With the letter rip
17:48I had Andrew there
17:49And I should have
17:50The next day gone for Pawdy
17:51But I didn't
17:52Because I was trying to be loyal
17:53At that moment
17:54So it kind of came across
17:55Like I was going for Pawdy
17:56And he thought I was going for
17:57But I really wasn't
17:58But I was just trying to
17:59Make sure there was no
18:00Suspicion on me
18:01So it had to go that way
18:02I think Pawdy thought
18:03I was going for him
18:04Which I really wasn't
18:05But
18:06Oh my god
18:07Fair
18:08Can I ask a question
18:09Please do
18:10Do your wives
18:11Trust you now?
18:12They never trusted us before
18:14But like I'm picturing
18:18They did
18:19We love them
18:20They knew we were only playing a game
18:33So I think
18:34Siobhan
18:35Siobhan
18:37Siobhan
18:38You're not helping Siobhan
18:39Come on
18:40Damage control
18:41Come on
18:42Once he had Pawdy out of the way
18:43There was only one man for the job
18:44And that was
18:45Your bestie
18:46Of course
18:47Ben how did it feel
18:48To go from faithful
18:49To traitor
18:50So late in the game?
18:51Yeah I found it really difficult
18:53I really did
18:54I struggled with it
18:55Obviously my first murder with Amy
18:57It was my first murder
18:58So I was kind of a bit excited
18:59With that one
19:00Sorry Amy
19:01Everyone remembers their first time
19:03But
19:06No after that
19:07I struggled with it
19:08But not even just with the murders
19:09Being a traitor
19:10With the banishments
19:12And knowing
19:13That
19:14They're not a traitor
19:15And people are going after them
19:16And seeing how upset they get
19:17I did actually struggle with it
19:18It was difficult
19:19But
19:20Again you just have to keep on
19:21Trying to bring it back
19:22That it's a game
19:23It's a game
19:24But
19:25In the moment it is
19:26It is really difficult
19:27And you struggle
19:28Well Nick
19:29You had main character energy
19:30From day one
19:31Let's remind ourselves
19:32Who do you think
19:33Is the leader
19:34Of the group?
19:35Move faster!
19:36Nick
19:37What are you at?
19:38What do you mean what am I at?
19:39Because it's one lie on top of another
19:40I'm sick of being a traitor
19:41And I've just got to say to you Eamon
19:42Fool me once
19:43Shame on me
19:44But fool me twice
19:45Shame on you
19:46Gotcha
19:47Dear Nick
19:48We wish to recruit you
19:49Obviously went into the room
19:50And I just gave the big one on the camera
19:52At this stage
19:53The game is going to turn ugly
19:54And you're going to have to start eliminating people
19:56You just don't have that trust with
19:57Are you willing to join me as a traitor?
19:59I'm a faithful slayer now
20:00And yeah
20:01I'm coming for them
20:02This is my game plan
20:03If I execute it
20:04It'll be like shooting a 65 around the golf course on the weekend
20:07You're so like a brother
20:08I'm actually
20:09We were only just saying there
20:10Your wife is so lucky
20:11Want a hug?
20:12No
20:13Well thank you
20:14The most trustworthy person for me is Nick
20:15Hey I think it's you I'm sorry
20:17I feel sick putting your name down
20:18This is the hard part
20:19Like both
20:20Hey think about your kid
20:21Fuck this is not the hard part
20:22Having my daughter at a young age
20:24She is my best friend
20:26If I want something
20:27We go to probably Disneyland with the kids
20:29You'll make the wrong decision on me if you go with me
20:31Haughty was half right
20:33I'm a traitor
20:48So Nick what you know
20:50What was it like watching that back?
20:52It was unbelievable
20:54Erm
20:55I'm not sure that didn't look like main character
20:57Mainly main clown energy
20:58But it was still
20:59It was good fun
21:00Erm
21:01To share the experience with the 24 cast members was epic
21:04They're all
21:05I'm so close to them all
21:06They're all legends
21:07Every single one of them
21:08Obviously I had a special experience with Ben
21:09Which was incredible
21:11Erm
21:12It hasn't been a job
21:14Erm
21:15But it was yeah
21:16The whole
21:17Like I played it as a game
21:18I probably pushed the boundaries of a lot of things
21:21Siobhan give us a break
21:23Well Ben
21:25You were voted the best at the missions
21:27You're an army man
21:28Er
21:29You're used to pressure
21:30Let's remind ourselves of you taking control of the situation
21:33Joe go in the middle
21:35Yous go on the left
21:36Me and Christine will go on the right
21:37Joe you go in the middle
21:38Yous go on the left
21:39I'm on the left
21:40Yeah
21:41This is the mission that I'm buzzing for
21:42Yeah
21:43As soon as you hear a bit of water
21:44I'm all over it
21:45Yeah
21:46Put Joe in the middle
21:47You're a massive
21:48You have to carry it guys
21:49We have to carry it
21:50We have to carry it
21:51We have to carry it
21:52We have to carry it
21:53You have to carry it into the water
21:54Oh sorry
21:55It's carried into the water
21:56We're not cheese up
21:57I'm no military strategist, but I know that the first step to sailing is you put the boat in the water.
22:16Was that the hardest two weeks of work you've done since joining the army?
22:20Christine always likes me about it, but I always said to her, I'm in the army, I'm not in the navy.
22:25And you're not going to be any time soon.
22:29Let's talk about that final day and that final round table. Nick, it all fell apart for you at that round table.
22:34Like, what was your game plan going in?
22:36Game plan was Kelly from the get-go. We knew it was 2v2, so just tried to turn Kelly in some way or another.
22:42We said we'd go for Vanessa over Owen and just turn Kelly, but she saw right through us.
22:47And you thought the heat was on Ben going in?
22:49That was the big problem. We were kind of building Ben's defence, so when Owen brought it to me, I was going,
22:54Oh no, what do I even say here? And she was so strong, it was impossible to.
22:58When Ian puts those lasers on you, I'd say your heart just shrinks.
23:02Sinking behind the round table.
23:04Ben, you made it one step further to endgame. What was it like standing there as the last traitor?
23:09Without your boy?
23:11Yeah, I know, yeah. And to be fair, he left a little breadcrum for me with the potty coming.
23:17I still knew the game was up anyway. I still knew that the girls were going to get it right.
23:21They were brilliant. They copped it. Once Kelly had made her mind up, I kind of knew what way it was going to happen.
23:27Did you ever think, you know, I can win this?
23:31No.
23:33Well, Nick, you gave us one of the most memorable moments on the show.
23:37Would you mind one last time giving us the big one?
23:42Thank you very much.
23:54Unbelievable! Ben and Nick, everybody!
23:59After the break, we will have the first exclusive interview with the winners of the traitors.
24:03And the traitors don't go anywhere.
24:24Welcome back to the finale of the traitors Ireland Uncloaked.
24:27We are here with Siobhan McSweeney, runners-up Nick and Ben.
24:30And let's give a round of applause for the winners, Vanessa, Oyan and Kelly!
24:39Ladies, that was phenomenal stuff.
24:44Like, holy moly, you had the whole country shouting at the telly like it was Italia 90.
24:49Vanessa, how does it feel to have won the traitors?
24:52Oh, unreal. Like, it just means, like, all those tears actually bend something.
24:56So, yeah, no, really happy, delighted.
24:58Oyan, has it sunk in yet?
25:00I think it's like living it for the second time again, so yeah, definitely.
25:04And you get to enjoy it with the full audience as well.
25:06Yes, yes.
25:07Kelly, now, you said on the show that if you won, you would pay off your parents' mortgage.
25:13Are you going to keep that promise?
25:15Absolutely, I'm a woman of my word, no doubt about it.
25:17Can you...
25:19Every parent's dream, that's every parent's dream.
25:26Can you reveal how much is left on the mortgage?
25:29Turns out, and I didn't know this, a whopping 50 euro.
25:33So, easy, easy, yeah.
25:35Five, zero.
25:36Yeah.
25:37You definitely knew that, making that promise.
25:39Yeah, yeah.
25:41Kelly, when you were filming the show, what did you tell your friends and family you were doing?
25:46To be honest, it was kind of easy for me, so I told them I was just going to work in Galway, but I had been, like, planting the seed.
25:52Because the whole thing for me was, none of my friends would believe that I would go off my phone for two weeks willingly.
25:58And I couldn't say I was going on a retreat, because they wouldn't believe me about that either.
26:01So I had to kind of, I started planting seeds really early on.
26:04And it's, like, something my dad would do, that he would, like, challenge me.
26:07So I was like, you know what, girls, my dad has been saying, like, I bet you, like, 200 quid, you can't go off your phone for two weeks.
26:13So I was like, you know what, I'll take that bet.
26:15And so, yeah, now they think I'm 200 euro richer, like, little do they know it's a little bit more than 200 euro.
26:22Siobhan, up the minute.
26:24Up the minute.
26:25Up the minute.
26:26Are you delighted?
26:28I am, actually.
26:31I am, I am delighted the three of you won.
26:34But, like, because it felt towards the end, it just felt like, you know, that girl on girl, I was going to say.
26:43Different show.
26:45But, you know, turning on each other and sort of accusing each other.
26:50And it's all very understandable, misunderstandings and all this stuff.
26:53And the two boils, they're going, can't believe we're getting away with it.
26:57Don't move.
26:58Don't move.
26:59Don't say anything.
27:00Don't say anything.
27:01If you move, they might catch you and then go for you, whatever.
27:04So I was really, really, I just didn't think it would happen.
27:09And Ian, watching the final there and just seeing you at the breakfast table go, like the meme that we all can think of.
27:19And then go, where she went, that would be.
27:22Oh.
27:23She made a little.
27:24She got it.
27:25Yeah.
27:26Because you have to remember, I didn't see everything as much as I pretended I saw everything.
27:30I was probably putting a hat on in another room.
27:33So I didn't know when the turn happened.
27:36Yeah.
27:37When he slowly, but ever, like brought the ship around very slowly and started edging towards the iceberg.
27:43Yeah.
27:44Or not.
27:45Away from the iceberg.
27:46I think it was, I remember Kelly, you said at breakfast table, like, God, maybe it's the two lads.
27:49Maybe it's the two lads.
27:50Yeah.
27:51And Ian just went, oh.
27:52Yeah.
27:53I don't know what are the chances, but Ian was like.
27:55Yeah.
27:56It was the first time we were comparing notes and we were like, pause.
27:58Yeah.
27:59And then we were like, oh no.
28:00Yeah.
28:01Because we were like, it really just.
28:02We'd done that stuff.
28:03Yeah.
28:04Ian, were you sure at that moment?
28:07As soon as the penny dropped?
28:08Is that the way your brain goes?
28:09You go, oh.
28:10Dunk, dunk, dunk, dunk.
28:11Damn.
28:12Yeah.
28:13Definitely.
28:14You knew then.
28:15I was sure.
28:16And then obviously Ben walks in after, I'm like, oh, we were just talking about you.
28:19So, like.
28:20Did you notice a change in the, well, I suppose.
28:24No, I'm still just worried about myself.
28:26Like, you could see the breakfast before when I messed up with Kelly.
28:29So, I'm just like.
28:30That was another great meme, actually.
28:32Yeah.
28:33Of Ben just going like.
28:34All right.
28:35I was like.
28:36Was.
28:37Was a nice guy.
28:38Kelly, you had all the power going into that last day with the, you had the swing vote.
28:43Yeah, crazy.
28:44Like, a lot of pressure.
28:45You had a big decision to make and it finally all clicked into place.
28:48Yeah.
28:49My thing with Cody is, right, he was like, protect the girls, fuck the lads.
28:53And then all of a sudden he has Vanessa's name down.
28:56And then just throwing the blame on me.
28:58He was definitely kind of trying to sway my decision.
29:01And then he just kind of realized, okay, I'm gone.
29:03So, I'll throw out the person I'm angry at and it's name kind of thing.
29:06Yeah.
29:07Or the person he recruited to name.
29:10Yeah.
29:11I don't know.
29:12I don't know.
29:13I don't know.
29:15As in what?
29:16I was thinking because I'd yet to add a lot of it to me.
29:19Mmm.
29:21That was a sweet little trap you set there for Nick.
29:26Like, I like the little side eye where you're like.
29:28And he was like, yeah, well, yeah.
29:31I was focused on the next thing I was going to say.
29:33I was like, yeah, yeah, yeah.
29:34What am I going to say?
29:35You still had Poddy's name ready to go.
29:37Yeah, yeah.
29:38Kelly, was that the turning point for you?
29:39To be honest, still, no.
29:41Like, that entire character and he was so crazy.
29:43Like, I was like, okay, well, it's Nick 100%.
29:45But I still like, maybe he's not working with Ben.
29:48Maybe, like, it was just such a bigger picture then
29:50that I felt like I had to piece together.
29:51And then I was like, maybe he's, like, there was just so many.
29:54I was just saying so much crap as well.
29:55I'd say she was just dizzy nearly listening.
29:57Yeah, because he was going one way to another.
29:59He came back to me and was like,
30:00I've been working on Kelly and the character and I was going around.
30:03Yeah.
30:04No, that was like, that was the end of us.
30:05Yeah.
30:07I think I have her, Ben.
30:08Yeah, yeah.
30:09I was like, come on, come on.
30:10We are back.
30:11I think we had a chance here.
30:12I think we had a chance.
30:13Victory laugh.
30:14The girls were like, you're an idiot.
30:15Oyin, were the three of you strategising that final day?
30:19We didn't really talk about game plan, honestly.
30:22I think we just kind of said Nick's name and we were like, okay.
30:25And that was it.
30:26We just went into the round table and we were just like,
30:29we're just going to grasp at straws really and just try our best to pin it on Nick.
30:35Because we really did feel like, well myself, I felt it was Nick at that point.
30:39And I was like, I'm not like, it's not going to be me leaving the round table.
30:42It's going to be Nick.
30:43It's a bad place to be.
30:46Yeah.
30:47That last round table was so tense.
30:50Once Nick was banished, Ben, like what was going through your head?
30:53Oh, it's insane.
30:55So I put me head down and I was like, really pretend like you're shocked with that Nick
30:59and something like that.
31:00But then I stayed there for that long that I was like, well, I can't celebrate now either.
31:04So I just stayed there for an extra and I was like, what am I going to do here?
31:07And I think it was about five minutes and I'm still just like that.
31:10You could have gave a very, very sad arrow.
31:14Straight to his heart instead.
31:18Kelly and Ian, like ye were celebrating like mad.
31:21Vanessa, you reacted very differently.
31:23Were you just done at that point?
31:25I was done about three days before.
31:26Like I was like begging production to go home.
31:29Like I just wasn't having it anymore.
31:31It was just so much tougher than it was.
31:34And the last two days we've just been so wrong and I was just so deflated.
31:38And I was sick of being in the middle of everything.
31:40And it's just like even going into the round table, like even coming into breakfast, actually,
31:44I just didn't care.
31:45Like I really didn't care anymore.
31:46I actually thought Nick was going to win and actually like, like convince Kelly
31:51because like Kelly had not been, she voted for me twice, I think.
31:54She'd already told me she didn't like trust me.
31:56And I actually didn't even bother trying to convince Kelly.
31:59Like I genuinely didn't care about the money anymore.
32:01I just wanted to go home.
32:02It was just, it's very like emotional in there.
32:05And it's, I know it's a game and all, but like it genuinely just got to me.
32:08And I was just like, nah, I just, I'd rather just go home and let the, let the guys play.
32:11Like, I feel it is important to, to say like, it is only a game and these are real people.
32:18Um, apart from Siobhan McSweeney, Siobhan, Siobhan McSweeney is, uh,
32:24I'm a real boy.
32:25A demigod of some kind.
32:27From our perspective, we have to push the boat so far with the faithfuls that like,
32:31it probably does nearly become too much and you, you just have to keep pressing.
32:35So like you, you say, you don't want to say stuff, but you ha you're nearly have to push the boat so far to try and like deceit them.
32:43So it's, it's terrible what we have to do.
32:45And we definitely upset the girls along the way, which we're sorry for.
32:48And personally, I never meant to do that, but it's just part of, it is just a game.
32:51Yeah.
32:52And you just have to go that way.
32:53And I think there is, there is a place for like, you know, slagging on Twitter and on stuff like that.
33:00But like, just don't make it mean.
33:02You can do it in a fun, creative way.
33:04Yeah, come on.
33:09And I, I, I just want to talk, to end that by saying, like, until you've been through what these lads have been through,
33:17they're, until you've been through what I've been through.
33:20Yeah.
33:21Yeah.
33:22Being interrupted and all right.
33:23LAUGHTER
33:24Like, I was saying earlier, like, we went through it all together.
33:27Yeah.
33:28Production went through it with you.
33:29Like, it is so intense.
33:31Mm-hmm.
33:32People behave, I behaved in a way that I don't recognise good, bad or indifferent, because you're in extremis.
33:40Mm-hmm.
33:41You're in extremis.
33:42And we're doing it for you, for your entertainment.
33:45Mm-hmm.
33:46So cop on and don't be upset.
33:47We're all lovely.
33:50Moving, uh, moving swiftly on to end game. Nessa, can I call you Nessa?
33:58We're not friends, but me.
34:00LAUGHTER
34:01Wow.
34:02Just met your life.
34:03When Ben rode Nessa on that slate, how did that make you feel?
34:07Honestly, like, it wasn't a game for me.
34:10Like, I find it really hard to kind of separate, like, myself and a game.
34:14Like, I'm just always me.
34:16I'm always on.
34:17So in that moment, I really was just trusting Kelly and Oyen.
34:20Like, I was being part of the team and playing as a team.
34:24But honestly, it was nearly impossible for me to fathom Ben as a traitor.
34:30I understood it logically.
34:31Mm-hmm.
34:32But in the game, I was just like, there's no way he could be a traitor.
34:35The exact same way, if Oyen became a traitor, I would have been the last person who would have clocked it.
34:40So I was just kind of, I knew Nick was a traitor.
34:42And I, like, I think I was coming at you the day before and all.
34:45But it's like, when it came to just Ben, it's like, I knew logically it makes sense for Nick to have recruited him
34:50or for them to have been working together.
34:52But I just couldn't, I couldn't fathom him being it.
34:54And when he wrote that, I just absolutely broke down.
34:57Because at that stage, it's like, it's no longer a game.
34:59It's now, it's money.
35:00Yeah.
35:01You know what I mean?
35:02Like, he's told me about his family.
35:03He's told me about his kids.
35:04He's told me about the plans that he has.
35:05And it's like, am I going to actually do this to somebody I'm seeing as a friend?
35:08It's got two personal.
35:09You know what I mean?
35:10Exactly.
35:11And it's like, I'm already an emotional wreck, but that just, that was it.
35:14And he's telling me like.
35:15Kelly, that last day in the, sorry, that was too much.
35:18What?
35:19What?
35:20Kelly, that last day in the castle, it was incredibly tense.
35:23Yeah.
35:24Do you want to sort of keep your spirits up?
35:26Yeah, they actually didn't show up.
35:27But we ended up playing hide and seek across the castle.
35:29Yeah.
35:30Because obviously, like, there's 24 people to begin with.
35:32Like, that castle was crowded.
35:33Like, you couldn't walk into a room by yourself.
35:35So, like, all of a sudden, we realized there was five of us.
35:37And we had the whole place to ourselves.
35:39So, it was literally, like, we were like kids in a playground,
35:41running around the place, hiding under the couch.
35:43Like, it was.
35:44It was like the cameraman trying to chase us around.
35:46Yeah, yeah, yeah.
35:47Ben's like, behind the door.
35:48I didn't find him one day, but I get pulled for an interview,
35:51and Owen's there looking for me for ages, but I'm upstairs.
35:53I'm like, Nick?
35:54This is unbelievable.
35:55I mean, the other option was looking at Ben and Nick,
35:59do you push-ups again?
36:00Like, I mean.
36:01Well, like, me sitting on bed while he does it.
36:05I'd love if Wilkinson was still somehow in the castle
36:08when you were playing hide and seek.
36:10He was.
36:11Oh, my gosh.
36:12Now, Owen the Oracle, you were so perceptive from the beginning.
36:16Wow.
36:17Wow.
36:18But I was trying to think of it from a different point of view,
36:21and I'm thinking, because Eamon, I'm very hung up on him being a traitor,
36:25and then Caitlyn, too, is on my radar.
36:27I'm thinking, is this, like, a fight between traitors?
36:30Is it like they feel like you're a weak link,
36:32and they're trying to, like, come for you?
36:34I feel like my intuition is right, and I feel like you're a traitor.
36:38So I voted for you, Caitlyn.
36:40I feel like you and Eamon were working together.
36:43There was a blackmail last night.
36:45I feel like it would have been you.
36:47Even if you weren't a traitor yesterday, you could be a traitor today.
36:49I'm a traitor.
36:53I voted for you, Pony.
36:54I just feel like you were feeling with Eamon and Caitlyn,
36:58and just, it's all too coincidental for me to just look over.
37:02Yep.
37:05Wow, wow.
37:06Yeah.
37:07Back to back to back.
37:09Owen, the nation wants to know, are you a clairvoyant,
37:13and what are this week's lotto numbers?
37:15Oh, well, there's a fee for that.
37:18But anyway, clairvoyant, I'd say it's more just a lot of tanking.
37:23I spent a lot of tanking.
37:24I spent a lot of time in my head in the castle and with my journal at night.
37:30So it was really just working backwards.
37:33And every single day, I'd go back and just, like, write down the hints and the clues that I would find.
37:37And then I would kind of just, like, work it all together.
37:40So at the beginning, I kind of wrote down the people's names who I thought were traders, who could be traders,
37:44and then people's names who I thought just couldn't.
37:46And I actually had all the traders on the people that could be traders on my list.
37:51So I kind of, like, worked backwards that way.
37:53And then, yeah.
37:55Pretty much that's how it worked.
37:57Yeah.
37:58Yeah.
37:59Yeah.
38:00Yeah.
38:01Unbelievable.
38:02Well, I think I speak for the audience in saying that you're all winners.
38:07You've done such an amazing job.

39:08Congratulations!
39:11Oh, my God, you look wonderful.
39:15OK, do you know what, I'll do so, I'll tell you now.
39:17Will that be the way we'll do it?
39:18I'm trying to give you the fucking heads up.
39:20Sorry.
39:21The two of them are as thick as two bulls sharing the same field.
39:25I'm really sorry.
39:26It's OK, I'd like to hear this.
39:27I really, really think you're the puppeteer behind the chaos.
39:29So, Pawdy is a priest.
39:31Pawdy, he's not ruthless enough.
39:33He doesn't have the Learody for a...
39:35What is it?
39:36It's a something father?
39:38I think we had a daddy moment.
39:39Daddy?
39:40I let slip and I blurted out daddy.
39:42It's Andrew's father.
39:44Sorry.
39:45Jesus, I can't read my glasses.
39:48I'm a traitor.
39:49And I am a traitor.
39:52And I am a traitor.
39:56I can feel it getting really tense between us.
39:58And Christine has it out for Ben.
40:01Christine, I can see her.
40:02She has baggers.
40:03Like, she's staring me out.
40:07Hello?
40:08Do it again!
40:11Can we do that again?
40:12Can we do that again?
40:13When I thought I could trust some of you.
40:15When I'm a faithful?
40:19I'm a traitor.
40:20Yeah!
40:21I am a traitor.
40:22Manana Heron, who took down the traitors.
40:25Congratulations.
