00:00Welcome everyone. So yes, a lot of people thought that this is so easy, right? This is getting
00:05cancelled. So 1 divided by 1 by 2. So answer is just 2. No, that is incorrect. The reason
00:12for that over here is that you have a mixed fraction in your denominator. So whenever
00:18you have a mixed fraction in your denominator, you need to convert the mixed fraction into
00:22an improper fraction. Now how do you do this? You multiply the denominator with the integer
00:26part which gets you 4 multiplied by 2 and then add the numerator which is plus 1 divided
00:32by 2. So this becomes 4 divided by 4 multiplied by 2 is 8 plus 1 gets you 9 upon 2. Now whenever
00:43you have division, you will follow the rule of KCF where K stands for keeping the first
00:48number as it is. C stands for changing the division sign to multiplication and F stands for flipping
00:54or taking reciprocal of 9 by 2 which is 2 by 9. Okay, so answer for this question is supposed
01:01to be 8 upon 9. I hope this is very very clear to everyone. That's it for today. I will see
01:08you in the next video.
