00:00This is one Lego brick and this is 100,000 and today we're gonna be using a hundred thousand Lego bricks to build David Dobrik a life-size Iron Man suit

00:07Starting with this brick

00:09David Dobrik is a massive fan of Iron Man and he recently announced on his podcast someone stole an Iron Man statue that he ordered

00:14These people currently have our Iron Man statue since I have a history of building creators their favorite things

00:19This seems like a no-brainer. The only problem is building with Legos is taking a very long time

00:23First we're gonna start with the legs torso and then finally the head since we have to glue every brick each layer takes over

00:28Three hours and there's over 345 layers to do this glue set super fast

00:32So if we place a block in the wrong area, it's basically impossible to separate the bricks

00:36It's hard to believe it's already been 17 hours and this is all we've done so far

00:39Yeah, man, this is taking way too long

00:41We decided to go back to the drawing board and come up with a better plan that won't take as long to build

00:45Aaron is gonna be designing a 3d Iron Man into the computer program so we can convert it into Lego bricks

00:49It's gonna help us get it done way faster after hours of computer work. It's finally ready now that we have the Iron Man model completed

00:55We have to go in and hand paint each block the color it needs to be every single Lego brick has to be hand painted the correct color

01:01And there's over a hundred thousand bricks once we finish coloring Iron Man

01:04We will then slice up the model row by row so we can create an instruction manual we can follow

01:08Let's go get the instruction next we went to the store to get our homemade Lego instructions. This is actually so dope

01:13We made our own Lego instruction manual every single page has every brick the detail so now we don't have to freehand it

01:19This is gonna make things go a lot faster layer by layer, baby

01:21Once we made it back to the warehouse. It was time to get to work. This is the world's largest Lego instruction booklet

01:26And it's gonna help show us how to put each Lego into place. I really hope David Dobrik is gonna like this

01:30He's been one of my favorite creators forever. This is by far the hardest project we have ever taken on when it's completed

01:35It'll be over six feet tall and weigh about 500 pounds made of small Lego bricks. This is so tedious. I guess what?

01:44That means we still have a lot of work to do. Yeah, we saw about 310 more layers

01:48But luckily we're able to call in some help to get this massive project done and one of my friends even came dressed as iron man

01:53So we've been working on the leg for a very long time and it just broke in half not great my dude

01:57I think we're gonna keep running into this problem because it's just gonna keep getting heavier and taller and the legos are not very strong

02:02We have over nine people working eight hours a day and there still hasn't been much progress made and to make things even worse

02:07I have no idea how to contact David Dobrik growing up

02:09David Dobrik was one of my favorite youtubers

02:11So i'm really hoping we can surprise him with this and hopefully make his day. Yeah, me too

02:14Well, the team kept working on the iron man. I was busy sending emails and messages trying to reach David Dobrik's team

02:19First leg is done. This thing took us 12 days alone to do and we still have so much

02:23It's time to start the second leg. Once we start on the second leg

02:25We started to go a little faster, but kept running into the same problem

02:28So I just realized this block was supposed to go right here

02:31But the glue already set so I have to use these pliers to rip it off most of the time when we do this

02:35It completely breaks the block and waste so much time

02:39Yeah, see just broke this entire piece off because of the super glue

02:42Sometimes it's really tough to follow the instruction manual to see where the block goes

02:45So this is happening a lot and every block is just breaking. I don't think David Dobrik's ever gonna get this

02:52We now have both of the legs done and the detail on these things are insane right here

02:56We have the little knee pads for his armor

02:58The shoe goes all the way up and every single brick is a different color

03:01This is gonna take a very long time to complete. It's not even a quarter of the way done. We're gonna start assembling the body

03:06We're gonna build it in separate pieces. So it's easy to install at the end

03:09Let's get to building after hundreds of hours and thousands of legos place

03:13We finally started making some progress, but we still haven't had any luck contacting David Dobrik's team

03:17So at this point we have been working on this project for literal days, but luckily we found some amazing help

03:27He actually hasn't stopped in like seven days. It's insane. The body is looking incredible

03:31We're gonna have the light inside of there and soon we're gonna start building the arms since no is now officially a part of the beam team

04:37We got a lot of work before we get to the palm though

04:54So right now the guys are currently finishing up the arm for the lego iron man

04:57But what they don't know is I have a bunch of balloons and they are about to get soaked

05:02It's time to go get the boys

05:12I am soaked well that's the point of a water balloon so I hope so

05:15I am soaking wet it is on now

05:17Water fight

05:21No water fight is complete without water balloons

05:49I instantly started working on the arm so we can install the cool led lights on the inside

05:53So far the arm is the hardest thing we've had to build because the entire inside is hollow

05:56So all of these bricks on the top layer there's nothing holding them except for the glue so hopefully this holds up

06:02We have the arm halfway assembled now it's time to add the light

06:05So we're going to put it right here in his fist and we already have the fingers built

06:09We're just going to put them over top like this hiding the light and once we snap that in

06:13His hand will be doing this and it'll glow

06:15We think

06:16We're literally going to have to glue this down so if this light stops working there's no way to get it out

06:22I don't like that sound it's making

06:24This entire arm could break right now dude it won't break it will be fine

06:27So the legos aren't snapping together so we're having to use this clamp to get it to go together

06:31We now officially have iron man's hand done and it's in his iconic blast pose

06:35The light is inside and if it doesn't work right now we're kind of out of luck so this is the moment of truth

06:41This is going to be so sick now what do we have to build next?

06:43The head while aaron was busy building iron man's iconic helmet. We had a huge problem

06:47One of the lights inside of the chest fell to the bottom and we have to fix it

06:50The only access we have is through the bottom

06:51So we're going to have to lay the iron man down and we're really worried it's going to break

06:54So we're going to lay it on my body so I can hold it into place

06:57There's this like blue collection of legos right here. That's where the light goes. That's the reactor. Hey, Aaron. Yeah, can you hurry up, man?

07:04Uh, no. Once we made the repairs we left the glue to dry. I want to let you in on a little secret

07:08I had an easter egg inside of if you look right here on the inside. There's a batman symbol in an iron man build

07:15Next we glued the legs to the body. We've let the glue sit overnight now

07:18It's time to flip over iron man and see if he stands and add the other pieces

07:22We finally have the legs and the body attached next it's time to install the arm

07:25But this thing sticks way out here, so we're hoping it doesn't fall off the balance and make it tilt and fall

07:30After about an hour, we were finally able to get the arm attached now

07:34It's time for the final piece to install iron man's head. Let's go. Let's get this thing

07:40After weeks of work our iron man is finally completed check out how cool these lights are

07:46This thing looks incredible. There is so many lego bricks. It's taller than I am and now it's time to load this up and hopefully surprise david dobrik with it

07:52I'm really nervous. It's gonna break on the drive though

07:55Come on, come on. It already broke and we didn't even load it

07:58It looks like this layer didn't get glued, but we should be able to just stick it back on with some glue

08:03We started making some quick repairs with the glue this iron man is literally floating here without one of its legs

08:07This is extremely stressful because if this doesn't hold up while we're driving it there

08:11What are we gonna do when we get there?

08:12We need to put more weight in the front that way these front ones snap into place

08:16So after making some repairs to the leg this thing is a lot more fragile than we realized

08:19So we're gonna grab all of this bubble wrap and pillows wrap him up

08:22And then we got a u-haul to load them inside of once we covered iron man with bubble wrap

08:25We loaded it up into the car. The worst part about this is now that it's covered in bubble wrap

08:29It could have completely broken on the inside and we'll have no idea until we show us to david dobrik's house

08:35Next stop david dobrik's house at least we hope since we are literally taking this all the way to california and still have no idea if they will accept it

08:41It is uh currently 10 30 p.m

08:44I've been driving for about two and a half hours straight now

08:47He is clearly tired of it

09:23So we just made it to california with the giant iron man statue but there's still one massive problem

09:30I just keep sending a ton of emails and instagram messages to his team hoping they reply and all we can really do now is wait

09:40I don't have his number or we want to be in this situation

09:43After hours of waiting we still haven't heard anything. This is not looking good

09:46Our flight literally leaves in 27 hours. I want to make a bet with you if we pull this off

09:51You have to run into the airship with all of your clothes on

09:57I just got a message from natalie tomorrow at noon at david's they text me the address

10:17So it's the next day. We're about to go drive to david dobrik's house. We're a few miles away

10:21We have no idea if the lego is safe inside of all that bubble wrap

10:24We won't really know until we unwrap it. We are two minutes out from david dobrik's house. I am so freaking nervous right now

10:30I really hope that lego is not broken

10:32All right, we're here

10:34Bro, this house is insane. I know dude. It's crazy. This is the moment of truth. I am so scared this thing is going to be broken

10:42I can't look

10:43Is that the same way it was? I don't remember. This is terrifying. Can three of us even lift this?

10:47It took like seven of us to put it in. Well, we're about to find out. Once we started carrying it

10:50We ran into a problem. There's two really nice cars we have to go in the middle of. This is not good

10:54I don't think we can fit in between them

10:55So we're trying to fit the iron man in between this gap and we just can't so hopefully they can move this car for us

10:59Or we won't be able to get inside. Natalie was able to move the car

11:02But unfortunately, I found a broken piece of lego on the floor. This has super glue on it. That means it's from him

11:07We haven't even unwrapped it and we're already finding broken lego pieces right now

11:10This tape could be the only thing holding all of it together

11:13So I think we should unwrap it out here and then try to carry it inside once we started unwrapping something awful happened

11:19I think the leg puffed off when we lifted it. I heard something. Oh my god

11:24Every single piece of the arm is broken

11:26We instantly tried to start making repairs to the arm

11:28But since the blocks are glued in place, it's gonna be very difficult to fix

11:31There's nothing holding this arm up right now if I let go

11:33We brought a bunch of extra lego so we were using them combined with glue to hopefully make the arm connect again

11:37So we're currently trying to fix the arm

11:38We were supposed to surprise david 25 minutes ago and this is not looking good

11:42I feel awful right now

11:43So we have the entire arm glued we think it's going to work

11:46But now we have to have hayden hold this for the next 15 minutes so the epoxy can dry

11:51After holding the arm in place for over 20 minutes, we could finally start to attempt to bring the statue inside

11:56So we got iron man in place

11:57It looks like his arms from the stick, but it could fall off at any second

12:00Adelie just told me she's going upstairs to get david. He's gonna be down any second

12:03I am so nervous. He's been my favorite youtuber for years. This is gonna be crazy
