02:19But the real world is a little bit less forgiving.

02:27We're going to take a look at drivers who lose control...

02:35...leaving others bent over in disbelief.

02:38We take a trip to Taiwan, a country we'll be coming back to later in the show for very different

02:52reasons.

02:53For now, though, it's time to focus on this fast-moving highway, which, as we know, can

02:58be a melting pot of lane-merging disaster, a loss of control into the guardrail, and the

03:09driver crushes out more plastic than Christmas morning.

03:13A replay throws up the question, where the heck did this guy actually come from?

03:19Maybe he's arrived from the future, and crash-landed at 88 miles per hour.

03:44this shirtless passenger must have been singing before being dumped through the windscreen

03:48by his reckless driving buddy.

06:24Some homeowners will mount a camera in a specific location because an accident has happened before

10:15It's a nasty crash as the taxi driver gets sideswiped in the process.

10:21His wing mirror crashing through the window and hitting him in the head.

10:25Not surprisingly, the driver failed the breathalyser and spent the rest of his Saturday night sobering up in a cell.

14:10This delivery driver is dropping off his parcels when he notices a parked van behind creeping closer.

14:19Cue the laughter from the security guards who have watched this clip dozens of times.

14:29Why so funny, you ask?

14:31Because the second delivery driver has been pushing his van forward and can't understand why it stopped.

15:32Oncoming traffic has navigated this minor hazard with relative ease,

15:36but keep an eye on this silver sedan

15:38who is about to pay the price for being polite.

15:42Whatever happened to one in, one out?

15:44The driver of the black SUV knows what's coming.

15:51And it looks like Mother Nature's forgotten her manners too.

15:55Luckily, the driver manages to avoid it like a Mother Nature-in-law,

16:00which landslides us nicely into our next theme.

16:19Beautiful, tranquil and highly unpredictable.

16:23One minute you're enjoying picturesque mountain views,

16:27the next you're dodging boulders like barrels in Donkey Kong.

16:31From terrifying earthquakes causing havoc...

16:38..to fighting against extreme winds.

16:48Mother Nature certainly knows how to make a blazing entrance.

16:54So hold tight as we bring you some earth-changing disasters.

16:59It's an early April morning in 2024,

17:11and drivers on this overpass in Weili-en in Taiwan

17:15are experiencing an abrupt wake-up call.

17:18A pedestrian below films the terrifying occurrence.

17:23An earthquake with a magnitude of 7.4 hits the city,

17:26and this dashcam driver captures the moment vehicles

17:30start bouncing around uncontrollably.

17:42Commuters on this train feel the force too,

17:45as tremors play havoc with the city's infrastructure.

17:47Only a few miles away,

17:55drivers on mountain roads stop their cars and begin to reverse.

18:01The biggest fear is that the quake will trigger a landslide.

18:09And they're not wrong.

18:10With over a thousand aftershocks that followed,

18:31the earthquake that hit Weili-en destroyed hundreds of buildings, roads,

18:36and travel infrastructure, resulting in an estimated $28 billion in damage.

18:48Earthquakes aren't really a cause for concern in the Canary Islands,

18:52but there is the Cumbre Viejo on the island of La Palma,

18:57an active volcano seen here erupting in 2021.

19:02Down below in the villages,

19:03a driver captures the eruption.

19:09A sight that hasn't been seen in 50 years.

19:13Incredibly, the volcano keeps erupting for the next 85 days,

19:19lighting up La Palma with molten lava covering two and a half thousand acres

19:24and forcing thousands from their homes.

19:27As streets turn into tsunamis of fire,

19:30it's like a scene straight out of hell.

19:33Viewed from the air days later,

19:36the town of Todoke resembles a giant simmering bonfire.

19:41Even once the lava cools,

19:44there is no way residents can navigate around the buried roads

19:47to get in or out.

19:52Authorities declared the official end of the eruption

19:55on December the 25th, 2021, prompting residents to proclaim God bless us, everyone, but in Spanish.

20:04Fast forward to 2024.

20:07And now we're going into the road that is now built over the lava field.

20:12So this is something rather special.

20:15Volcano expert Professor Valentin Troll takes us on a drive on an aptly christened new road.

20:21We're going to go on the volcano road as it's locally known.

20:24Amazingly, to this day, the lava remains hot and certain areas are still prohibited as dangerous gases leak from cracks in the rocks.

20:34So we're caught behind the lorry here, and the lorry has a lot of ash on it.

20:38The good news is construction workers can use the volcanic ash to mix with concrete.

20:44As they say in La Palma,

20:45For most of us, going out in public semi-naked is risqué enough.

21:04For others, they have to go one step further.

21:08You may have a daredevil inclination...

21:11...but stunts should really be left to the professionals.

21:18Perfect!

21:21They're an art form, demanding skill, dexterity and precision timing...

21:26...and should be performed well away from public roads.

21:31Let's admire the few that go right and chuckle at the ones that go wrong...

21:37...which, of course, are our favourites.

21:41This guy is no professional, but that doesn't mean he still doesn't mind showing off for his buddy filming.

21:53Fortunately, he does have a helmet on, as he and his friend hog up two lanes of traffic.

22:02And for his next trick, he's about to demonstrate the art of pulling a wheelie...

22:07...which can take a bit of effort with a heavy bike.

22:13Personally, we'd prefer to call it falling off the back and giving some of his skin to the road.

22:19I bet he was wishing he wore a leather jacket, as that has to sting almost as much as looking like an idiot on the internet.

22:31Luck was on his side, however, as not only did he not get run over in the process...

22:37..but his bike surprisingly still works. At least his friend can still find the humour in it.

22:49Laughter is the best medicine for failure, and maybe a couple of stitches.

22:54And now for a little musical chopsticks, as these Chinese men decide to stand on some bamboo pieces and ski down an icy road.

23:07The question is, how are they going to stop?

23:23Oh, that's how!

23:31The TV show Jackass might have ended a while ago, but that doesn't stop people from doing Jackassery.

23:41These lads are having a laugh, as their buddy does BMX tricks on their gran's hand-me-down car...

23:48..which looks like it's already seen its fair share of knocks.

23:55And there goes the windscreen, which sends these dudes into uncontrollable hysterics.

24:08There's like shards of glass that sprayed me in the face!

25:06Sadly, it doesn't go as well for this guy, whose ill-timed flip has him landing face first.

41:54..and endangering the lives of others,

41:56the 22-year-old's moment of madness

41:59mercifully comes to an end.

42:02But until the police arrive,

42:04our van driver is taking no chances.

42:08The driver was arrested and charged with three counts of assault

42:11with a deadly weapon.

42:12There's nothing like spending part of your twenties in prison

42:16to grow up really quick and find your cellmate or soulmate.

42:21Nothing is more fun for a group of bikers than to ride and rally together in a show of camaraderie.

42:35This group are the Chicago United Riders.

42:38They might look intimidating, but they're actually on a fundraising ride.

42:42Thumbs up!

42:44Not everyone agrees, however, like this grey pickup truck.

42:49As he drives amongst the bikers, he then veers across the road and stops abruptly,

42:53as if deliberately trying to cause an accident.

42:56Welcome!

42:58This naturally sparks a reaction.

43:02Back off! Back off!

43:03The bikers catch up with him at the junction,

43:05where it goes from fundraising to hell-raising.

43:09As they surround the truck, anger at the driver spills over.

43:14Realising he's heavily outnumbered,

43:18the ram-jammer figures he'd rather not hang around a second longer.

43:23Perhaps feeling threatened, he either panics or sees devilish red,

43:28all in front of a church, no less.

43:33If God wasn't watching before, you certainly got his attention, sir.

43:38He should actually be praying that they didn't pull him out and commit a sin.

43:47And just like that, we've reached the end of another thrilling episode.
