01:20good morning we're actually in a really good spot um insulation is all in and then we will

01:33be doing sheets for probably four or five hours straight although every team has the same floor

01:40plan this year this week each team is allowed to move or change a wall that divides the walk-in

01:46road from the main bedroom so the boys have chosen to reduce the size of their bedroom turning their

01:51walk-in into a dressing room your master bedroom you want it to be clean we are absolutely not

01:58doing a fireplace in the bedroom i know that a lot of people are but rob and i don't want to

02:04over complicate this room they're saving their money this week opting for a simple design

02:09featuring a custom four poster bed and plenty of artwork and their dressing room will include

02:15a bespoke makeup desk with dark timber cabinetry and that's all thanks to their freedom block bucks

02:21we should have a red hot crack at that 10k from combank which would be lovely which we need we

02:28need the money a lot because also that's getting dug today

02:33who's dug the dugger oh bob and cat are coming over yeah i had this crazy idea and when i heard

02:47about all the houses being the same i thought you know what matt i want to dig a cellar you want to

02:52dig a cellar i want to put a cellar in that would be a game change if we get this cellar in and across

02:59the line it would definitely win us a blog because they might have more skills and experience doing

03:06stuff but no one will have a wine room underground we're going to fence up so no one can see it from

03:11cafe over there because you've got a good view straight into our yard we're going to keep it very

03:14secret very secret i like that i'll just be like oh i don't even know what it is it's our pool it's

03:22our pool we're having a diving board into the pool off the roof off the roof hmm synchronized swimming

03:29we can get all the girls in i don't really want to see any of those boys in a pair of

03:34shoes she'll like to see some of these tradies in the pool

03:37what is on the cards for you guys today um nothing to go wrong

03:58emma and van are choosing to stick to the original floor plan

04:03their open walk-in road will feature an island and their bedroom will include a fireplace a marble

04:09bench wallpaper and a custom-made bedhead

04:12our um chippy is creating the frame for our bedhead as well as the the top to our bedhead

04:21and al our chippy i said do you reckon you could curve timber and the other two chippies were like

04:27nah and al he says yeah sure we'll give it a go

04:30so he's bent this timber it's so amazing incredible in fact all of the nine and six

04:36chippies were they were coming in just to look at it yeah they were really impressed with his

04:41handy work and he's so humble and just amazing he's like yeah he's done a beautiful job of it

04:48and i'm gonna upholster fabric to go underneath the timber yeah nice yeah that's great that's gonna be good

04:56plastering wednesday oh boys are ripping in yeah ceiling grid frame inspection and then sheet

05:06all this we we probably a little bit behind everyone else but that was always a plan it's

05:13not like it's any different to where we thought we'd be uh i was never getting plasters until today

05:18it wasn't that i couldn't get them it was just that it's uh it's cheaper to keep them away than

05:22sitting here doing nothing so we uh we'd rather they get in here this morning and they're ready to

05:27go we're doing some things here which cost money so we've got to spend it last week sunny and alicia

05:34moved the door for their ensuite to inside their walk-in road but this week they're creating a secret

05:40door into their main bedroom their room will feature a gallery style hallway as well as a fireplace

05:46wallpaper and a big linen bedhead we won't be budget bees this week we're um we've blown our budget already

06:03weather's nice

06:04how is it yeah she's doing great first week back after what this time last week she was in hospital

06:18and yes it's lovely to have her back howdy howdy he needs a chicken with kieran's not relevant we're not

06:26going to finish okay we need someone tomorrow candace so we need to he doesn't know anyone else

06:32so this morning we find out that we don't have a second chippy anymore and he won't be returning

06:39for the rest of the week we have so much chippy work in this bedroom we've got the fireplace we've

06:45got the bench and we've got full wall bj paneling and bed head there's a lot of carpentry work and one

06:56person is not enough and one person in us is not enough kieran the other chippy when i first

07:02organized him to come in and be my extra set of hands i really only allowed for him two days a

07:06week thinking that's probably what we would need but this week because there is so much more carpentry

07:11based stuff like the vj having him for a third day yeah it just would have been great but it was hard

07:17to foresee it at the start of this the girls are going to try and find another chippy at least just

07:20for tomorrow just speak to people there's heaps people who know chippies around why do i have to do

07:25i'm trying to help ben i'm on the tools like he's struggling i'm struggling please help me oh yeah

07:37don't get overwhelmed ham i don't think candace understands how much of an impact not having

07:44another chippy is and not securing one today will effectively cause us not to finish you were

07:53confident on monday that we'd get finished and then i'm like that's why i might just manage the trades

07:57and they'll get it done candace you don't understand

08:02at this point we are not going to finish like that's the fact

08:06today we need to get fully insulated fully roughed in by the sparkies and we need to have

08:15plaster the walls it seems like a it seems like not that much but it's massive britain towers are

08:23extending their wall to move the bed as well as adding an extra door into the wardrobe their bedroom

08:29will feature gold wallpaper a custom curved bed head and a fireplace and their walk-in will have white

08:36cabinetry and an island might be of action in here good action we're going to be ready for freedom

08:43if we can plaster that wall nine o'clock wednesday of main bedroom week and we've got a couple of

08:49houses plastering which is good to see and we've also got freedom wardrobes in a couple of them

08:53houses unfortunately houses um three and four haven't even had an inspection yet so they're a little

08:59bit behind the eight ball sunny done that strategically he's trying to save on his trades but taz he's had

09:04trades there the whole time and they're still behind the eight ball so that's a worrying sign

09:09just got like two more things the roof to do but all that other area on the walls is good

09:14i've done all the insulation around the sides we just need to put the ceiling bats in so we can

09:17start hanging the roof and we insulate the whole roof together ceiling we insulate the ceiling together

09:24there we go there we call gmack over for an inspection

09:30time to get a ladder so i can have a look oh yeah i want to have a look

09:35now my understanding was we did

09:52skylight shaft me

09:59has is having a great crack this week he's doing all the inso in most of it himself it's his job

10:04but he's missed the critical part of the skylight shaft they're going to pull in so down to get to

10:10the skylight shaft to install in so then reinstall the ceiling it sucks it's um you know we're plastering

10:17we were about to start plastering so now we're not uh i was just paying more blokes to be here and

10:24no work's getting done i think we're actually the ceiling grid's going to come down to get up there

10:29well you're going to take a few down and you're going to have to get up there with a ladder to get

10:32up there look how tall it is just remember in the other weeks we've been taping it all the way around

10:36so it doesn't fall down i'll get i'll get some tape and then you need a big ladder big ladder yeah

10:43so we need to go up and we need to install the skylight more which is a bit irritating because

10:49the size of our skylights are about two and a half meters by themselves so

10:54the plasterer boys get up in the ceiling to try go right to the top to to fix up all the insulation

11:01but dan sees them in the ceiling

11:06hang on you can't be up there can't we nah get down oh sorry

11:10you know the rules what are you doing in the roof okay so i explained to the guys you're going

11:17to have to take your ceiling grid down in sections get a big ladder in and then insulate the skylight

11:21staff that's the way to do it walked out of the room came back in to say something else and i noticed

11:26one of the plasterers in the trusses we can't have that that's just not safe on site if he had

11:32fallen he would have hit the ceiling grid and then fallen through that the site could have been

11:37shut down the whole block could have been shut down taz just caught you guys up on the roof

11:42trying to do it quickly can't be doing that's just so unsafe dino's coming now safety officer

11:48this could be a kick off site they know it was wrong they were trying to get it done quickly it's

11:53a block rule it has been for a long time not all that up in the roof not walking on trusses no

11:59so we just got to come up with a plan on how to do it

12:00but not walk up there yeah but we yeah so we just need to get a bigger ladder we just we've

12:06yeah i think the issue is we've seen other trades up there it's another rule for seven rules for

12:11others no no you've got to insulate that yeah we do it the right way no one should be up correct

12:15so it hasn't been done so i was trying to do it with a plan on how to do it i was doing it yeah but

12:20i don't want you to walk up through there that's all right we'll get it we'll get something joke well

12:23if it's a joke if there's no good for you don't worry about it but that's the way we do it

12:28yeah i just want to see consistency you want to see consistency okay then we we interlate that

12:40bit fed up he was fuming him and dino got well into it because of it that's the way it is it should

12:45be done i'm just doing what i was i've literally seen every other trade up in the room every other

12:49trade how do you reckon they do all the aircon stuff yeah they've had lighters up there and he was

12:54about to walk off site he was he had enough you're all good i know it's all literally the

13:01pretty stand up in the trusses all day the doesn't matter he had every right to go you know what it's

13:07just not for us today we'll come back again tomorrow but i said a day of you leaving will kill us

13:12that's the way it is it should be done first i'm just doing what i was i've literally seen every

13:31other trade up in the room every other trade how do you reckon they do all the aircon stuff yeah they've

13:36had lighted up there wankers so jaden was just fed up he was he had enough

13:50luckily you know he come up he had his five minutes he come up

13:58there's not much i can do on site in terms of the building industry so to bring some of the stuff i've

14:02learned policing conflict resolution the conflict resolution stuff someone's got to calm him down

14:12to talk to jaden and be like this is how we need to sort it out i need you on site there's a risk

14:18they kick your off i know but like i need you on site more than you know i need you more than you

14:23need me right now so like i know it is this is your era it's not my area at all but i need you more than

14:30you need me right now yeah so are you able to yeah i'll shut my mouth i appreciate it thank you a lot

16:29hann and can are madly searching for another chippy but as i've banned high pages this year

16:35finding a good tradie fast is not easy i haven't got sub full down carpets getting installed tomorrow

16:42so we're trying to desperately get another chippy do you know any chippies that could come now for

16:47tomorrow or like now right now i'm really trying to find someone i've called 10 people i've messaged

16:54about five more we'd ask around site and i'm really struggling to find a chippy we're not going to

16:59finish at all we're not even going to get to paint this week called matt i've called ryan graham i've

17:03called my dad i've called luke from glazix i've asked the guys here just relax what about another team

17:14has got an extra chippy what does anyone else i don't know can you just bro i'm trying to do

17:21everything don't bro me do not bro me there's still so much to do and the carpet guy was like

17:31well we can only stall first thing tomorrow and we're not ready we'll be fine we'll be fine and a

17:36big hug come here we got this all right it'll be fine just relax we'll work it out okay

18:02i just don't want to not finish again like

18:06we fell hours behind because of the because of the setbacks because of the misinspections and

18:26everything like that

18:30but the way the boys worked we caught right back up real quick has all good mate all good we did it

18:38i think we did we got a little inspection shoot for g hopefully we get the tick can't have yeah we

18:44can't have that again no no have you seen what's holding it up insulation tape hmm is that not good

18:51it's just insulation tape wrapped around it what else do we wrap it up in banding tape

19:00there's no sense in doing it if it's only going to last for an hour of filming

19:05what's this going to flop over we'll just stretch in the heat

19:11they've used electrical tape to tape up their insulation and i think because it says insulating

19:16tape they got confused but it's electrical tape we can't use that because it will expand over time

19:22and the insulation will just flop over fall down and then we won't meet our seven star rating

19:29it's for sparkies when they do stuff with their cables oh so it's not insulating tape it's not for

19:34insulation it's insulating tape

19:38this is a bit of a setback because this is the third time they're going to get up there to do it

19:46but we're allowing them to plaster their walls just to keep them moving because they're falling a long

19:51way behind and freedom's starting to stress that they can't get in there so we've got to keep them

19:56moving somehow you all right not really

19:59this season so far this is probably the the flattest we've seen you

20:13i don't think we've had a room out of the last four where there hasn't been something that stitches

20:17you up or holds you back so there's always they're always going to be things so it's just like the

20:22relentlessness of it you know like you hear about other houses that'll just cruise through

20:27and you know and they're like you know that i'm making any mistakes or anything like that so

20:31i'm just going to limit the mistakes and then hopefully we just like get get a week where it's

20:34just like everything that we've wanted to happen and just happens but we just haven't experienced

20:39that yet every week it seems to be there's massive pushbacks and setbacks

20:56it's wednesday arvo on the block and the girls are still searching for an extra chippy

21:28like now it was just a a sigh of relief i just don't know if you'll be out of now i said can you be there

21:37first thing in the morning yeah yeah and he's got a couple of guys so yeah that'd be perfect luke's

21:44got luke's got a mate in town who's luke luke the glazier yeah feeling better oh i don't know it's

21:53not it's not done yet so i'll see next door tas has spent the entire afternoon re-taping his skylight

22:05installation with the correct tape and is now ready for his third inspection of the day

22:09yeah that's good that ain't going anywhere near did he thanks mate keep going i'll reinstate

22:23well done appreciate it the amount of setbacks we had we could have kicked off and you know just

22:29decided to walk off and i would have been in a really bad spot because there's so much plaster

22:33that goes into that room look at now we're in a silly shade this is good mate

22:39took four of them and all four of them didn't have a break all day and i i wouldn't get the room

22:43done without them

22:56robbie there's been some exciting news overnight yeah i wake up and i get a video from my partner

23:04elissa and brooks has said his first word which is that oh

23:18oh it's so hard it's been 30 something days now and it feels like a year and looking at the photos

23:31of him when i left and to see him now he's just doubled in size and

23:34yeah i mean it would have been great to see that

23:41because you want it for the right reason mate

23:43how do you support robbie matt we've supported each other through some crazy

23:57it's just being there rather than words know what i mean no i'm gonna get emotional

24:04so i've had some really shocking health through my life

24:09and like i had half my lung removed years ago and rob was in the waiting room when i

24:17woke up from my surgery and then about six years ago i had all my spine rebuilt

24:22and rob was there in the waiting room when i came out of surgery again and so we look after each other

24:31and we're there for each other better than a lot of relationships you know what i mean

24:38and so having someone like that where we just we we're good for each other and to each other

24:44it's just about being there and being available and being just a good loyal honest person you know

24:56yes we miss our family yes i miss brooks and my partner and you miss your family it's but you know

25:02matt and i have a family you know we're two best mates we're always by each other's side we've been

25:07through we've had some fun we've had a lot of fun and we'll continue to do that so and you love each

25:12other yeah we do we sure do now let's get back to laughing oh god

25:26this morning we are up at the caravans yeah and everyone's mingling around the caravan so we think

26:14this is another challenge obviously your hands started this day with a million things to do

26:18so knowing we're potentially getting dragged to a challenge today is not the perfect timing good

26:44go way back and when he heard we're in town he reached out and invited us for a bit of friendly fire

27:01straightest shooter in a clay target competition and i'm told the rewards for the winning team today

27:08are huge so good luck wow an absolute change of pace we're going to get you off site we're going to get

27:15you out of your high beers and into some fancy drab for the day so we want you to head over catch up

27:21with mr fabulous aka andrew so you can take off your work boots and maybe throw on some riding boots
