00:18They brought it back down to seven and a half in this matchup.

00:21They have won eight of the last ten.

00:23They dominated last year.

00:24Week one, great call by you.

00:26With Cam Ward laying one and a half points.

00:28They just dominated that matchup.

00:30But in order for Florida to win this game,

00:33now this is a tall order.

00:35Back-to-back road games, even though it's in state,

00:38they played well from a defensive perspective against LSU.

00:41But when DJ Lagway throws for 287 yards,

00:45one touchdown but five interceptions,

00:47a pick six changes the whole complexity.

00:50It's a tall order.

00:51But I still believe in this spot with their backs against the wall,

00:54Florida has enough playmakers in a rivalry game

00:57to at least cover the seven and a half.

00:59Not going to be easy.

01:02They're giving up less than 100 rushing yards per game,

01:04less than three yards per carry on the ground.

01:06They've been opportunistic.

01:08Carson Beck and that offense are averaging 306 passing yards per game.

01:12They're pounding the rock for $1.79 on the ground.

01:16But give me the rivalry.

01:18Everybody thought USF was the rivalry with the points.

01:21It was just a tough matchup for USF after those two emotional wins.

01:27Give me the points with Florida.

01:28I don't know if they win it outright,

01:30but I think you'll get a much better effort,

01:32and they'll be within the number tonight.

01:33You know, I get some vibes from this game, Joe.

01:34If you can equate, and I know you can't a lot to the college football game,

01:37to the NFL game, but you take a look and say to yourself,

01:39all right, look at this.

01:40You know, Thursday night football, about to throw the knockout punch,

01:43the Buffalo Bills, and if that doesn't work out,

01:45maybe McDaniel gets fired.

01:46They played well.

01:47They were in it to the end.

01:48They almost won that football game.

01:49They're not moral victories, but I can see Florida tonight

01:52hanging around in the fourth quarter with a chance to win this football game.

01:55It's not that outlandish.

01:56It's not 18.5 as a spread, but Joe is right.

01:59We had this up as high as 9.5 this week,

02:01buying it back down to 7.5.

02:02But here's what I want to ask you, Joe.

02:04DJ Lagway came in with a lot of hype this year.

02:06Could be a possibly Heisman Trophy.

02:08We even talked before the season.

02:09Boy, what about that game where he's going to take on, you know,

02:12LSU against Nussmaier and then go play Miami.

02:14They come out 4-0 to open their season.

02:16He might be the Heisman Trophy favorite, and he's not right now.

02:20Five interceptions last week.

02:21And on the show, one of my better bets was team total under 19.5 for the Florida Gators.

02:25They didn't sniff that.

02:26He threw five picks.

02:27How does he come back today?

02:28Well, again, I think they have to utilize his versatility.

02:31They have to utilize his athleticism.

02:33And, again, they can't put him into long third-down situations.

02:36That's what LSU did.

02:37The lack of the rushing attack was there,

02:40and DJ Lagway had to force plays up against that secondary.

02:43In this matchup, though, their best recipe in offense could be their defense.

02:48I will say the one thing about Florida is that you cannot run on them.

02:52They're only giving up 82 rushing yards per game.

02:54So if they can force Carson back into long third downs,

02:57we know that Miami's offensive line is held up.

03:00If they can get quarterback pressures and get off the field on third down,

03:04short field for Lagway, they can control the tempo.

03:07If this starts, Donnie, to all of a sudden be Miami 14-0 in the first half,

03:12Miami's going to cover.

03:14It's going to be an over in Florida.

03:16Napier might make it back to Gainesville because they're a one-trick pony.

03:21They need a lower-scoring game right now.

03:23Keep it methodical.

03:24And I think they could do it.

03:26Rivalry type of game.

03:27Again, this might be an opportunity to take Lagway on the ground,

03:31any time touchdown.

03:33And maybe, just maybe, we take them for one passing touchdown.

03:37But expecting them to throw for 287-plus and multiple touchdowns up against

03:42this secondary is going to be difficult.
