Les Reyes : Miracle Survivor

Les Reyes, a man whose journey from a US Navy veteran to a beauty industry entrepreneur has been anything but ordinary. Les comes from a family whose legacy is beauty — starting with his mother's iconic Ada Beauty Parlour — and expanding it into something bigger than himself through franchising and mentorship. But life had other plans. After facing a major health crisis — including a stroke and a miraculous recovery — Les found himself at a crossroads. What he discovered on the other side of pain, surrender, and divine intervention changed everything.

00:00Wherever you are, this is Butch Bartolomeo of the Business Mentor Blog over at Manila.
00:30Today, Sunday, is another exciting day for us.
00:34You know, today is something that I was able to catch a very, very good friend of ours, Les Reyes, who last year had a life-changing moment, no?
00:48And who is Les Reyes? Les Reyes probably is very, very familiar to you because we all know he comes from a family of beauty, no?
01:01From his mother to his brother to him, no?
01:06So, without further ado, let's call and tawagin natin si Les Reyes.
01:11Les, good morning, good evening to you, good Sunday.
01:14Kamusta ho ba?
01:15Good evening, good morning, happy Sunday, blessed, happy Holy Sunday, Brother Boots, Kuya Boots.
01:21Tito, our mentor, thank you for having me here.
01:26Les, you had a very, very good life and, you know, hanga ako sa'yo because you established a business of beauty, on beauty, not just a beauty salon.
01:40And you come from a family that started, paano ba nagsimula itong beauty business ng pamilya?
02:03And then, sinundan niya ng aking brother na si Ricky, and then my brother na Claro.
02:07And then, doon naman ako napunta, ako na yung panghuli sa, in our sibling, ang ginawa ako sa business, hindi naman kasi ako marunong magupit,
02:16I applied yung maging professional, and then I went through that business through franchising to share the blessing, the franchise, what we have in the family.
02:33Sa akin naman, God would like you to share what you have in your life, especially the blessings.
02:41Para lahat, magkakaroon ng blessing from God.
02:45But, Les, di ba, prior to this, you were not really into beauty.
02:49No, you were, I understand you were in the United States, and you had a stint of a couple of years, U.S. Navy.
02:59Tell us more about that.
03:01Nag-nine years ako sa Navy, without any tools, kasi I'm just a high school graduate,
03:19And then, from there, from there, nakita ko eh, nag-Navy, dalawang kapatid ko, nag-Navy yung brother-in-law ko.
03:24Why not me joining the Navy? Kasi wala naman akong college degree.
03:29So, nakapag-join ako. And, yung isang dream ko, nagtupad.
03:32Yung seeing the world, the other part of the world, the other side.
03:36And then, from that stint in the Navy, marami akong natutunang discipline and organizational
03:49kapag may kakausapin ka about franchise, about marketing, about accounting,
03:53may department na sasagot sa iyo for the whole time that you're with Ray Sir Carus franchise for five years.
03:59Wow. So, nagkaroon ka ng a lot of experience, no?
04:03The training, the discipline, no?
04:05Being part of the U.S. Navy, no?
04:08But, you did not stay for quite some time, right?
04:12What happened to you?
04:13You wanted to stay until, what, 20 years that you have a retirement?
04:17And, there was a crossroad, right?
04:21Ano naging crossroad mo doon?
04:23Yeah, kasi pag nag-Navy ka, you would like to be a career man, Navy.
04:27Dapat tapusin mo yung 20 years para, after 20 years, bata ka pa nun, siguro 40 ka pa lang nun.
04:32And you will receive retirement for life.
04:35Wow, ganun ba yun?
04:37Pero, na-stop eh, na-challenge ako.
04:39On my ninth year, nagkaroon ako ng back problem.
04:49Natigil ako, na-discharge ako because I'm not qualified anymore because of my health daw.
04:54So, sabi ko, this is my new life.
04:57So, nag-out ako and napabalik ako sa Pilipinas na tinulungan ako ng brother ko, si Ricky, to start my new life.
05:07Ah, okay. So, parang sinasabi natin, this is where the sibling caring for each other, di ba?
05:14Parang may sumasalo at sino pa naman ang sasalo ay no other than a sibling, no?
05:21I mean, in other words, you had a beautiful life all the way up in the United States serving the U.S. Navy.
05:28You probably saw part of the world, di ba?
05:31Hindi naman lahat ng mundo, no?
05:33But, so, paano yun? Nung bumalik ka sa Pilipinas, was it really an acceptable thing or is it something that you cannot accept?
05:42Na, ayaw ko pang bumalik sa Pilipinas, may gusto pa akong gawin.
05:45Ganun ba yun?
05:50Ah, family business kasi namin salon eh.
05:55So, I didn't believe in my mom and my kuya. So, doon ako pumunta talaga. I accepted na kasi ang pagpapaganda, pang babae yan eh, eh, male tayo.
06:08Dapat nasa barbership tayo pero sabi ko, etong business namin, eh, we'll just do what we can and what we can do best to continue the salon business with our family.
06:21Sa sana, yung business na tinuloy ko, it will be a brand forever.
06:25Like, like Jollibee, KFC na tuloy-tuloy hanggang miskiwala na.
06:29Ako dito, people will again be blessed with razor cutters, system and production.
06:37Correct.
06:38Makapagbibigyan ng trabaho forever.
06:40Correct. So, which is your advocacy, no? Which, sabi nga natin, yung mga responsible franchisor, ay yan ang parating tinutuloy, being able to establish a legacy, no?
06:52Rather than becoming rich for themselves, but rather, sabi mo, giving a chance to people to have a break, di ba?
07:00Para bang, yun na naging punto mo ngayon eh, no?
07:02Which is, I think, you are being blessed because giving a break to the unfortunate is something that probably not many would probably look at it with a good point.
Pero, if you can empower as much as you can while you're still alive, napakagandang gift mo na gagawin sa iyong kapwa na, again, yan ang turo ng ating ama sa taas na share everything and empower them.
07:48And that's what I will teach you and sana yan din ang maituro nating lahat na to take care of the people that works with us.
07:57But, Les, naging, you know, talking about our kababayan, mga nasa overseas, alam mo naman natin na yan ay sinasabi nating heroes, the living heroes, but unfortunately, they are not really heroes when they come home.
09:02Anong magiging suggestion at ikaw bilang isang entrepreneur, ano magiging kasagutan?
09:08Advice for me is, huwag gamitin ang blessing, ang funding sa luho.
09:16So, tapat ipon.
09:25Furniture, kotse, eh sana, pwede mong i-invest or money markets.
09:34Pero, mas maganda ma-invest mo sa isang negosyo, sample, kunyari sa salon.
09:38Yung wife mo, habang nagtatrabaho ka sa Bahrain, yung wife mo may konting negosyo at matututunan siyang mag-income.
09:50Correct, correct.
09:51And then, from that income, pag napalaki niya yun, yung asawa niya, hindi na kailangan mag-stay ng 10 years sa Bahrain.
09:58Kundi pag uwi niya, tulungan niya pa yung wife niya, ayusin niya yung business nila,
10:04at palakihin at add another branch at one or two or three branches para yung same time naman eh, same ang ginagawa mo.
10:11So, dagdaga mo pa hanggang kaya mo.
10:14And then, one day, pati yung mga anak mo may involve sa negosyo na parang eskwelahan na rin nila yung business mo.
10:20And then, hindi na kayo magkakahihwai.
10:22Well, like, save money, invest your money so you don't have to be 10 years for life na nasa ibang bansa.
10:30Kasi yung time mo with the family, nawawala.
10:35Yung, how do you take care of your children?
11:03And then, miski-konti yung kikitae mo doon sa negosyo mo, ang pinaka-importante dito, yung magkakasama kayo with your family all the time.
11:12So, totoo yan.
11:13Going to church, us, Christmas, birthday, na magkakasama.
11:17Yeah. But less, you always have crossroads.
11:42Gustong-gusto mo yung maybe magkaroon ka ng pension for life.
11:47But again, it was not meant for you.
11:50But again, there was another, yeah, naging successful ka ngayon sa Razer Cutters.
11:57But, ano ba nangyari sa'yo?
11:59Meron kang isang major change that you can probably say na nagkaroon ka ng wake-up call.
12:06Hindi lang wake-up call. Alam nang literally woke up, no?
12:09Ano nangyari? You had a stroke.
12:12I had a stroke five months ago, last December.
12:19From that stroke, nagising ako na hindi pala lahat saya.
12:27Hindi pala lahat enjoyment by yourself.
12:31Enjoying the success by yourself.
12:47So, dun nagising ako na, huy, you have to have a open relationship na talagang totoo ang relationship mo with God.
12:58And pag nagkaroon ka ng open relationship with God, it follows that you will have an open relationship with your wife,
13:05your children, and all the people that you meet.
13:08At lahat na gagawin mo ngayon na, the center of it will be Christ na,
13:24But there was one instance, Les, na sinabi mo na you were meant for an operation,
13:31nagkaroon ka ng blood clot, and you were Jew, sabi nga ng doktor sa iyo,
13:38na magkakaroon ka ng angiogram, and if ever the angiography proved,
13:44ikaw ay bubuksan.
13:46But there was a miracle.
13:48What was that miracle, Les?
13:51During the angiogram, to see the damage that happened in my left brain,
13:57yung blood clot, tapos yung the veins, yung mga ugat na nagdisection,
14:03naghiwahiwalay, medyo hindi maganda.
14:05So they did angiography to me, and then after angiography,
14:09they will decide to open my head, and i-repair kung anong damage mayroon.
14:15And then after that angiography, the doctor told me na,
14:21Mr. Reyes, may nagdadasal sa inyo, yung nagdadasal sa inyo,
14:25and very powerful kasi, it's a miracle na lahat ng nakita namin doon sa MRI,
14:29na pinakita naman sa akin doon sa x-ray,
14:33ay totally, miraculously gone.
14:36Nawala lahat sila.
14:37Parang bang natunaw?
14:39As in zero?
14:40As in nothing happened?
14:42Not even one blood clot is there,
14:44and not even one brain na nag-ikot,
14:47eh, parang lahat bumalik.
14:50Kasi, ginawa ka ng MRI, right?
14:52Nakita nila, nagkaloko-loko na ata yung mga,
14:55yung mga brain, yung blood clot mo, di ba?
14:57But again, after that, nag-aroon sila ulit ng verification.
15:02Yung verification nila, through angiography,
15:09na wala sila nakita, it was all gone.
15:12Thank you, Lord.
15:13Parang, what a blessing to me na, to have that.
15:17Sabi ng doktor, eh, that is a miracle, Mr. Reyes.
15:20Meron ka pa yata, sigurong misyon na gagawin,
15:22kaya nawala yan.
15:24So, yun nga, no?
15:25Parang, I guess, this is something,
15:28kumbaga, you're at the end of it, no?
15:30Kumbaga, surrender ka na, bubuksan ka, buksan na,
15:32para matapos na, di ba?
15:34Alisin yung blood clot and all this, di ba?
15:36Ganun yung, I'm sure your mindset is like this.
15:39Let's finish it.
15:40Para malaman na ka ang katotohanan.
15:43It's either go or no go, no?
15:44Yes.
15:45Dignan nagkaroon ng turnaround, no?
15:47Parang sinasabi natin,
15:49nothing is impossible.
15:51Tama ba?
15:52Yes, with God, nothing is impossible.
15:54So, kasi yung impossible kay God,
15:57gawin mong two-word yun, no?
15:58Impossible is,
15:59ang ibig sabihin,
16:00pag giniginawa mo two-word with God,
16:01I'm possible.
16:03So, naging possible na yung,
16:06yung lahat nang meron ako nawala.
16:09Yeah, yeah.
16:09Parang, I'm sure you're telling friends
16:11and people will say,
16:13talaga?
16:14You know, I'm sure a lot of your friends, no?
16:17And also a lot of people watching.
16:20And there is still a possibility, no?
16:22Kasi we have talked to a lot of people na,
16:24butch paano yan?
16:25Stage four na ho?
16:27Paano ho yan?
16:28Ganito-ganito.
16:29Financially draining at lahat-lahat.
16:31Parang, everything is on the ground.
16:35But somebody has to look up there and pray.
16:38Diba?
16:38Ganun yun.
16:39Anong nangyari?
16:40So, parang the blessing can come in different ways
16:44that, kumbaga,
16:47kumbaga the last two minutes of your life.
16:49Tama?
16:50Diba?
16:51Tama ka, no?
16:51Para sa basketball.
16:52Naglararo ka ng basketball, eh.
16:54Last two minutes can either be
16:56you are a loser or you are a winner.
16:58Diba?
16:59Hindi pa huli ang lahat.
17:00Tama, no?
17:01Yes, you can be champion.
17:02And again, the champion here is our God.
17:08But it can be a three-point shoot.
17:10Diba?
17:11So, we saw you.
17:14In life, there's so many challenges.
17:17If you surrender your life with God
17:19and believe in Him,
17:21na,
17:21God,
17:23you're my guide,
17:25I surrender to you my life,
17:27and,
17:28Lord,
17:28Ikaw na bahala sa buhay ko,
17:30and,
17:30and,
17:31I surrender,
17:32and I accept you in my life.
17:35Pero ngayon,
17:36Les,
17:36alam mo,
17:37maraming ngayong mga paghahamon
17:38ng mga,
17:39mga lahat ng negosyante,
17:41I mean,
17:42hindi naman lahat sa pang-Pilipinas lang,
17:43eh,
17:43pang-mundo pa, eh,
17:44no?
17:45Ano ba ang,
17:46ano ang views mo dito?
17:48Kasi,
17:49marami tayo nakakausap na,
17:51you know,
17:51mga matatagal na rin entrepreneurs
17:53na parang,
17:54so surrender na ata ako,
17:56parang,
17:56ang bigat,
17:57mabigat ang pasanin.
17:59Anong,
17:59anong,
17:59ikaw ay dumuan na rin sa ganyan.
18:01Anong masasabi mo?
18:02Anong magiging payo mo dito?
18:05We still,
18:08whatever you do,
18:10put Christ on it.
18:11Not just Christ,
18:12but,
18:13you have to do things in earth
18:15na may gagawin ka,
18:17hindi lang magdadasal ka,
18:18kundi,
18:19you will innovate,
18:21you will go to the extreme
18:22na kaya mo mo ito,
18:24even with you going to the extreme,
18:26hindi mo nakakalimutan yung mga tao
18:28na tumulong sa'yo on your top.
18:31At,
18:32make yourself be obsolete this day
18:37para bukas,
18:38bago na naman ang iniisip mo.
18:40And,
18:41lahat ng to,
18:41ay again,
18:43tama ba?
18:43Kung ikaw si Christ,
18:45itong gagawin kong to,
18:46ito ba yung gustong gawin ni Christ?
18:49On whatever I do,
18:50in business,
18:50in life,
18:51or relationship,
18:53ito ba yung tama?
18:54Pag naisip mo,
18:55yung thinking mo,
18:56yung iyong mga,
18:56yung mga ways,
18:58ay,
18:59ito si Christ,
18:59itong gagawin niya,
19:00I think that will be a key na
19:03you will be
19:05in a better place
19:06than before.
19:08Fantastic.
19:09So,
19:10yan,
19:10Les,
19:10but,
19:11sino ngayon si Les Reyes
19:14in the 2025,
19:16after the,
19:17after being,
19:19parang sasabihin ko nga,
19:21eh,
19:21you were resurrected,
19:23eh, no?
19:23Parabang,
19:23na nabuhay ulit
19:26ang pagkataon ni Les Reyes.
19:28Ano bang ginagawa mo ngayon?
19:30Being an entrepreneur?
19:31Or,
19:31kao ba,
19:32isugsug pa rin sa trabaho
19:34na hindi mo na inaalagaan
19:36iyong sarili?
19:37Or,
19:37medyo,
19:38nagmulat ka na na,
19:40take a muna,
19:40everything must be
19:41work-life balance?
19:43Ano ba ngayon,
19:44Les?
19:45Ah,
19:46what happened to me
19:47five months ago,
19:49I was 63.
19:50Nung birthday ko
19:51noong January,
19:52I turned
19:52to be
19:5364.
19:55Nung 64 na ako,
19:57I announced
19:57my retirement.
19:58Retired na ako.
19:59But,
20:01hindi ko kinakalimutan
20:02yung aking work.
20:03So,
20:03what I do,
20:04I come to work
20:05once a week na lang.
20:07I asked my wife,
20:08ala ka,
20:08mag-retire na tayo,
20:09pero sabi niya yung wife ko,
20:10wag muna,
20:11gusto ko pa magtawasan ko,
20:12ikaw na maging president
20:12sa ina yung business,
20:14baka,
20:14I retire,
20:16but I will come to the office
20:17once a day.
20:19Yung once a day na yun,
20:20yung Tuesday,
20:21kasi pag Monday,
20:22may JVC,
20:22di ba?
20:23So,
20:23Monday,
20:23pinili ko para,
20:25Tuesday is the day
20:26that I choose
20:27to be with God,
20:30with our employees.
20:31So,
20:31what I did,
20:32Catholic and Christian,
20:33what I do in Catholic,
20:34we pray the rosary,
20:358 o'clock in the morning
20:37on Tuesday,
20:38and after praying the rosary
20:39with Catholic,
20:39yung about Mama Mary,
20:41and then I turn into the Bible
20:43na we read one or two Bible verse
20:45and then we explain about
20:47that Bible verse
20:47and sinisare namin
20:50ano yung relationship namin
20:53with that Bible verse
20:54and I try to evangelize
20:57in our small community.
20:59Dati,
20:59ang pangalan ng
21:00Reyes Haircutters,
21:02ang ano niya,
21:03in short,
21:04for the millennial,
21:05is RHC,
21:06Reyes Haircutters.
21:08Ngayon,
21:08pag ako nagtotalk
21:09in our people,
21:10yung RHC
21:11instead of Reyes Circles,
21:12pinaltan ko na,
21:13ang pangalan ng ngayon niya
21:15ay
21:15R for Rejoice,
21:17H for Heavenly,
21:18C for Christ.
21:20Rejoice Heavenly Christ.
21:21So,
21:22that's what I do,
21:23my people.
21:23And meron pang tagline yun,
21:24Kuya Bus,
21:25yung tagline namin sa RACC
21:27ay
21:27Repent
21:28for R,
21:30H for Healing,
21:31and C for Community.
21:33So,
21:33Rejoice Heavenly Christ,
21:35Repent,
21:36Healing Community.
21:36Yung community namin,
21:38very small lang siya,
21:39pero,
21:39okay lang yung
21:40small,
21:41basta,
21:41you can evangelize this
21:42to 3 or 10 to 30 people.
21:45So,
21:46when you repent,
21:47you will be healed.
21:48And the community
21:49is your small community.
21:51And,
21:51huwag ka na maghangad
21:52ng malaking community.
21:53Tama na yung isang dalawa,
21:54basta,
21:55you're doing something
21:56about God.
21:58Ano yung mga word ni God
21:59na may explain sa kanila
22:00in their own small ways,
22:01in big ways,
22:03na paano Tagalog or English
22:05na may explain sa kanya.
22:06So,
22:06that's my
22:06Tuesday.
22:09And then,
22:09yung afternoon ng Tuesday,
22:11doon naman ako nag-i-spend
22:12sa isang
22:12department namin
22:14na nag-grow
22:15is the school
22:16department.
22:20We have
22:20RSE naman sa
22:21Reyes School of Cosmetology.
22:23Doon naman ako tumututok na
22:24ito,
22:25magbibigay ng
22:26scholarship
22:26sa lahat
22:27na nangangailangan
22:28ng
22:28trabaho.
22:30Miski hindi tapos na
22:31high school,
22:32miski
22:32no-read,
22:33no-write,
22:34miski
22:3418 years old,
22:36miski hindi
22:37high school graduate,
22:38we will train them.
22:39Ang bayad doon,
22:4025,000,
22:41ang ginawa ko,
22:41we-name ko na yun.
22:43No more
22:44tuition fee,
22:45waive,
22:45magbibigay pa kami
22:46ng allowance.
22:48And then,
22:49after training,
22:50guaranteed job
22:51to anyone
22:52that would like
22:53to have a career
22:54in cosmetology.
22:56Wow,
22:56fantastic.
22:58So,
22:58kumbaga,
22:59pinaghusay mo,
23:01pinagdibay mo,
23:02pinalalim mo
23:03ang meaning
23:04ng iyong negosyo.
23:05In other words,
23:06kumbaga,
23:07the why
23:08na sinasabi
23:09lahat ng karamihan
23:10ay na-discover mo
23:12at
23:13nakuha mo rin
23:14from the why
23:15yung how
23:16and the what
23:17and the when.
23:18So,
23:18in other words,
23:18nagkaroon ka
23:19ng deep rooting,
23:21nagkaroon ng mga
23:23malalalim na ugat
23:24or foundation
23:25ang iyong buhay.
23:27So,
23:28which is actually true
23:29na dahil
23:29alam mo raman tayo
23:30mga negosyante,
23:32hindi lang naman
23:32ating pang sarili.
23:34It's a legacy
23:34that you want to
23:35live.
23:37You want people
23:38to be talking
23:38about the legacy
23:39that you have
23:40established.
23:41Rather than,
23:43we always fade away
23:44but our legacy
23:45will always remain
23:46as ever.
23:47Kumbaga,
23:49it never fades.
23:51So,
23:51anyway,
23:53Les,
23:53it's been
23:54really a pleasure.
23:55A Sunday,
23:56something nga,
23:56sabi nga natin
23:57paglinggo ay
23:58itong business
23:59mentor blog
24:00ay nagkakaroon
24:01ng mga conversion
24:02yung mga ating
24:03readers,
24:03yung mga ating
24:04viewers
24:04simply because
24:06of the deep
24:06insights of
24:07the people
24:07like you
24:08na ini-interview
24:09natin,
24:10to share.
24:11And,
24:12so,
24:13Les,
24:14anong mapapayo
24:14mo ngayon?
24:15Siguro,
24:15mga dalawang
24:16advice lang
24:17sa mga
24:17entrepreneurs
24:18ngayon
24:19na sasabihin lang,
24:20oh,
24:20kaya niya ni Res
24:21kasi mayaman
24:22na siya.
24:22Eh,
24:23ako naman,
24:23eh,
24:23paano yan?
24:24Meron pa akong
24:24mga malalaking
24:25utang
24:26na babayaran
24:27at maraming
24:28pa akong
24:28obligasyon.
24:29Ano ba
24:29masasabi mo
24:30ngayon?
24:30Ano pwede mong
24:31dalawang payo
24:32na bilang
24:33galing
24:33kimbrother
24:34Les?
24:35Siguro,
24:37ah,
24:38balanced life,
24:39you work
24:40and you work
24:43with your family.
24:45Kasi,
24:45minsan,
24:45pag nag-work ka
24:46nakakalimutan yung family,
24:47you work
24:48for what you do
24:51and you work
24:52with your family
24:53which is your life
24:54and you work
24:55with God
24:56which is
24:56your everlasting life
24:58with God.
24:59And,
25:00kung may mga utang
25:00kayo,
25:01talk to the people
25:02na pinagkaka-utangan nyo,
25:03explain to them,
25:04bayaran nyo sila
25:05biskipa unti-unti
25:06at least
25:07they will know na
25:08meron kang
25:09good intention
25:10na babayaran mo
25:10hindi ka kalimutan
25:11just to explain to them
25:12anong situation mo
25:14at pag nalaman nyo
25:16they'll always be
25:18your partner.
25:18Sabi nga,
25:19ah,
25:20there's always
25:21again,
25:21ah,
25:22ah,
25:23opportunity
25:23on things
25:25that happens
25:25in your life.
25:26Even challenges man yan,
25:28good things,
25:29lahat-lahat.
25:29And,
25:29sabi nga,
25:30kuya bo,
25:30sabi mo kanina,
25:31everything happens
25:32for a purpose.
25:33Lahat na mangyayari
25:34sa buhay mo.
25:36Exactly.
25:37Binigay ni Lord
25:38Jan for you
25:39to be a better
25:40entrepreneur
25:41or a better person.
25:43And it's a blessing.
25:44Diba kasi,
25:45tama naman,
25:45diba?
25:46Kasi,
25:46hindi naman lahat
25:47ng tao
25:47pwede maging
25:47entrepreneur,
25:48diba?
25:49Aless,
25:50why we became
25:51an entrepreneur
25:52was always a reason.
25:54Why somebody
25:55became a very popular
25:56software engineer,
25:58there was always a reason.
25:59You know,
26:00lahat may purpose eh.
26:02Kaya nga,
26:03hindi yung
26:03nag-land ka
26:04by accident eh.
26:05It was an accident
26:06created by God
26:08for a purpose.
26:10Diba?
26:10So,
26:11yun ang ano doon.
26:12But again,
26:13pag-igihin natin,
26:14kasi sabi nga atin,
26:16kumbaga,
26:17yung
26:17the parable
26:18of the talents,
26:20eh,
26:20huwag mo lang ibaon
26:21ang iyong
26:22kayamanan
26:23na binigay.
26:24Palaguin mo,
26:25in other words.
26:26Diba?
26:27Mahirap na yun eh,
26:28kasi natatakot kang
26:29palaguin yung
26:29iyong kayamanan
26:31o i-share mo yung ganyan.
26:32I mean,
26:33masabi,
26:33siguro maraming magsasabi,
26:35siguro naging crazy
26:37na ito si Les.
26:38Imagine,
26:38nagbibigay siya ng
26:39scholarship,
26:40may allowance pa,
26:41binibigay niya pa
26:42yung mga taong,
26:43kumbaga,
26:44wala ng pag-asa sa buhay,
26:45tinitrain niya pa.
26:46In other words,
26:48what is in the head
26:50of,
26:51diba si Les?
26:53No?
26:53And I'm sure people,
26:54people,
26:55sometimes,
26:56are called crazy
26:57and yet,
26:58in the end,
26:58they're the ones laughing,
27:00laughing because
27:01they have fulfilled
27:02their life.
27:03Diba?
27:03Diba?
27:04Yes, sir.
27:04Yung gano'n, no?
27:05Yun ang nangyayari, no?
27:07I'm sure your friends
27:08had said,
27:09Les,
27:09ano nangyayari sa'yo?
27:10After five months,
27:11nagbago ka na.
27:15Parang,
27:16ang daming,
27:18unang-una,
27:18naging,
27:19parang nakita ko eh,
27:20parang hindi ka na
27:21tamaan ng stroke.
27:23At again,
27:24there is no sign
27:25and you even
27:26became younger,
27:28parang,
27:29at 64,
27:31imagine mo,
27:32nobody would believe,
27:33no?
27:34Actually,
27:35Kuya Bus,
27:35hanggang ngayon,
27:37bawal ako mag-drive,
27:38bawal ako mag-sports,
27:39pero ngayon,
27:39I drive to Tagaytay,
27:41I drive to Ilocosur,
27:44nag-go-gulp na ako,
27:45nag-dive na ako,
27:46I do lahat ng bawal.
27:48Hindi naman sagad,
27:50para yung,
27:50yung dahan-dahan lang
27:52for me together,
27:54for me to get back
27:56to sa ginagawa ko,
27:57na hindi nga full,
27:59pero at least,
28:00from one to ten,
28:01siguro hanggang five lang muna,
28:03at least,
28:03you're back,
28:04and then when you're back,
28:06thank you,
28:06Lord,
28:07for all these blessings
28:08that I have,
28:09lahat pala ng challenges,
28:11lahat na nangyara sa ating
28:12Kuya Bus,
28:13treat it as a blessing
28:15from Him,
28:16kasi when you think
28:17of it as a blessing,
28:20papalaguin mo,
28:21palalalimin mo,
28:22bakit nangyari ito,
28:23anong reason ito,
28:24and then once you become
28:25okay with that,
28:26be a testament,
28:27be a witness
28:28of God's will
28:30and God's love.
