00:00We're here with Dr Andrew Parry who is retiring from the teaching profession
00:05and leaving Kinross after nine years. Doctor, what would you like to say to the departing
00:10Kinross community? Well thank you Riley, it's been an immense privilege to have the opportunity
00:17to serve such a special community. I'm in awe at what our children, your children, our students
00:26achieve right across the board, be it their music or their industrial arts, their sport in the
00:34classroom, their social service work within the community. It's a very special place and I've loved
00:43the thriving boarding community that we have here but most importantly what I have really enjoyed
00:50and have found hugely rewarding. It's just the friendliness, the strength of the community,
00:59the grounded nature of our people, of our students, their friendliness and their preparedness to just
01:07roll up their sleeves and give it their very best and it's been an immense privilege for Josephine
01:13and I to be in this wonderful, wonderful regional centre of Orange, to be in this beautiful school
01:21of Kinross Walleroy School and to spend nine years giving my best to try and contribute to this really
01:29special community and I wish you all the best as you journey on to the future. The future for our school
01:36is exciting and I'm sure the journey ahead will be a wonderful one but to all our families thank you
01:48for your marvellous support over the years. I wish you well and I wish the school well and I wish my
01:55successor Mr Tim Kelly well. He seems a lovely man and I'm sure we're in very very good hands so good luck
02:03and thank you so much for the wonderful honour it's been to serve this very, very special community. Thank you.
