00:00It's the 1970s in Wellington, New South Wales. Women's Liberation is making
00:05headlines. There are no change rooms for girls and there definitely weren't very
00:10many women playing cricket. So imagine the look on the faces of an all boys
00:14team when a year seven girl walked out to the crease and proceeded to bowl them
00:18out. Not one, not two, but every single one of them. That is exactly what the
00:25legendary Marie Cornish did and it was just the beginning of a lifelong
00:29devotion to her town and the sport. 40 years later she has only missed a
00:34handful of New South Wales country championships as the namesake of a
00:38schoolgirl's trophy and holds a well-deserved collection of life
00:42memberships. Marie Cornish didn't just change cricket back then but she is
00:47continuing to do so today.
