00:00U.S. President Donald Trump says a deal on the popular Chinese app Tiktok has been approved
00:05following a phone call with Chinese President Xi Jinping.
00:09I had a great call with President Xi and as you know he approved the TikTok deal
00:14and we're in the process. We have some great investors, some of the biggest in the world,
00:22American investors, great people. There's tremendous value with TikTok and I'm a little
00:28prejudiced because I frankly did so well on it you know. Trump said a call with Xi included
00:35discussions on the wars in Ukraine and Gaza and issues such as fentanyl. He also said the two
00:40leaders agreed to meet in person on the sidelines of the APEC summit in South Korea at the end of
00:46October. Details of the Tiktok deal have not been released publicly. Reports indicate a U.S.-led
00:53investor group that includes Oracle and other firms who control roughly 80 percent of the new
00:58U.S. business.
