US Senate Democrats are warning that US support for Taiwan could be at risk under President Donald Trump, according to a new report released before his planned trip to Beijing in March. The report says Trump may be willing to undermine support for Taiwan to appease Beijing and ease trade tensions. It also criticizes his comments on arms sales to Taiwan and his muted response to recent Chinese military exercises. The Trump administration pushed back, saying its has reversed decades of harmful economic policymaking.
