00:00Big development in a case we told you about, gosh, about a month ago.
00:05This really horrific video of Raja Jackson, who's the son of Rampage Jackson,
00:11in a professional wrestling bout where he snapped.
00:16I don't know how else to describe it.
00:18Obviously, this was a choreographed professional wrestling bout,
00:22but he decided to go off script and just started beating the hell out of his opponent.
00:29He almost killed Psycho Stew.
00:31I mean, let me just say, Psycho Stew would be dead if they didn't pull him off.
00:38I agree with you.
00:39He was almost dead the way it was.
00:41Well, the district attorney here in L.A. agrees.
00:45So, Raja Jackson was arrested for what you just saw there.
00:49That's the new development.
00:51He's been booked for felony battery.
00:54And there are a lot of people, frankly, myself included,
00:58who thought more appropriate would be attempted murder.
01:01Attempted murder.
01:01Because he is a trained fighter.
01:04His hands are deadly weapons.
01:06He knew what he was doing when he was pummeling this guy in the face.
01:10And he was willing to keep doing it until the guy died.
01:15I see your point.
01:16I mean, it's one thing if you hit him two, three times and then got up.
01:2022 times.
01:21Yeah.
01:2222 punches to the face after body slamming him in a way that you wouldn't do in professional wrestling, right?
01:29Correct, yeah.
01:30I mean, you could see that he picked him up.
01:31And normally, you let your back take the brunt of it when you're trying to throw him down.
01:34He put him on his head.
01:35On his head.
01:36And knocked him unconscious.
01:37So, here's the thing.
01:38The DA has not made a decision yet on the case.
01:43So, the DA could do one of three things.
01:47Not charge him at all.
01:50Charge him with the crime for which he was arrested, which is felony battery.
01:54Or up it to attempted murder.
01:58We don't know what the DA is going to do here.
02:01Yeah.
02:01But this is a DA who is...
02:04The DA is not going to...
02:05You can eliminate option number one.
02:08Yeah.
02:08He's not going to drop him.
02:09He's definitely not going to drop him.
02:10I would not be surprised if he charges him with attempted murder.
02:13Now, the problem with it is...
02:14The problem with that is...
02:15You don't know how to overcharge.
02:16Exactly.
02:17Boy, that's a...
02:18It just seems like it might be hard to prove it because now you're talking about getting in the guy's mind, right?
02:25Well, but that's what...
02:26But that's every case.
02:28You have to get in the mind of a criminal.
02:30And sometimes it's more obvious than another.
02:33It's just hard to say premeditation in a...
02:36He was supposed to be in that...
02:38It doesn't have to be premeditation.
02:39It can still be murder if you show intent to kill.
02:43And when you punch 22 times and you are going to keep doing it on an unconscious person and you know the power of your fists, I'm sorry.
02:53But I think they could get a conviction.
02:55Johnny Benitez, Brooklyn, New York.
02:59What he did was absolutely horrible.
03:00And it is kind of commendable, I guess, how his father is holding him accountable.
03:04I've seen even in an interview, the father said that he's not in communication.
03:07Even in the article, it suggested maybe have some jail time, some community service.
03:11Because a lot of the time, parents will have a blind eye when it's with somebody that they care about.
03:15But what we saw, it just seemed like inexcusable on camera.
03:17And to be honest, it kind of looked like the PTSD or the shell shock that some soldiers returning from war go to.
03:24I remember I saw a scene in Peaky Blinders where one of the main characters are attacking in the middle of a boxing match.
03:30And he can't take himself off of this guy.
03:32And this kill switch or just giving somebody the grace after knocking them down just doesn't exist.
03:37And that scene the same way it kind of existed with Roger Jackson.
03:40And I'm wondering what kind of trauma or what could have caused this kind of kill switch to just come on inside of him.
03:46It doesn't make a lot of sense.
03:48I wonder behind the scenes what could have really happened.
03:50Well, it seems like he was pissed off because before that.
03:53There had been a confrontation.
03:55There had been a confrontation.
03:56And you could see they exchanged words.
03:59He was pissed at the guy.
04:00Yeah.
