00:00Raja Jackson facing potential jail time after heinous assault on pro wrestler.
00:05Raja Jackson, the son of former UFC star and MMA legend Quentin Rampage Jackson,
00:10could face up to five years in jail if he's deemed guilty by a Los Angeles court.
00:16Jackson, 25, was arrested last month following a horrifying incident
00:19where he assaulted professional wrestler Stuart Smith, ringnamed Psycho Stu.
00:24Jackson hit an unconscious Smith with 22 punches to the head
00:28before being pulled off by other wrestlers in the match.
00:31The incident left Smith in critical condition in the hospital.
00:35His family said he suffered significant head trauma and lost several teeth in the incident,
00:39which caused him to choke on his own blood.
00:41Even Jackson's famous father has since said that he believes his son should serve jail time for the assault.
00:47I think because he's my son, and as his father, as a public figure, and they want to come after me,
00:52like, people automatically assume that I'm going to defend my son
00:55and I'm going to, like, try to pay people off and get him out of trouble, he said.
00:59I'm just as mad at Raja as they are.
01:01I think Raja should go to jail so he'll learn not to do this S no more, he said.
01:06Like, you got to control your emotions.
01:08And I think... I'm not saying, like, people say he should go to jail for, you know, ten years.
01:13No. He should go to jail and not prison.
01:16He should. He should go to jail.
01:18Do a little time and then get some therapy and learn from this.
01:21According to a report from the LA Times, Jackson will be charged with one count of felony battery
01:26that caused serious bodily injury and one count of misdemeanor battery.
01:31The report also claims that prosecutors will seek heavier sentencing
01:34because Smith suffered great bodily injury.
01:37If convicted on all charges, Jackson could face as many as five years in prison
01:41according to California sentencing guidelines.
01:44Jackson is currently free on $50,000 bond following his arrest in September.
