00:00I took opportunities of one of the major ones was it was Dan Aykroyd was signing his vodka

00:14okay so I was like hey you know what I like Ghostbusters I like Dan Aykroyd I did a custom

00:20guitar I actually did like a clear skull I molded it in stuff like that turns out one of the Gibson

00:28reps Gibson guitar reps was there and then he saw it and then that got me in with Gibson started

00:36having me do stuff with other companies like tap out all the time Budweiser and that started laying

00:42like the groundwork for you know legit companies to see what I do and then it just started morphing

00:51you know once you put in the hours and just the amount that I was cranking out then it was like

00:57okay here we go you know did it scare you when you started getting all this work coming at you

01:03like whoa whoa wait a minute uh you know I mean because I mean as a custom artist that's what you

01:09want you know it's it's based on you your success your failure if you don't put the work in you

01:16ain't getting paid right you know it's it's not like a regular nine-to-five where you have something

01:20to fall back on it's a hundred percent you so you know trying to follow what everybody else was

01:27you're only busy probably six months out of the year so the rest of the time you're like what do

01:32I do you have to get another job or you have to work you know I worked at one of the hotels because

01:36at the time you know the money isn't just not there you have to pay the bills but once I got in with

01:43the guitars going okay there's there's some traction to this if you could afford a several

01:49thousand dollar gibson what's what's a little bit extra for a paint job sure you know and then

01:54having that connection with uh the gibson rep that's how I got hooked up with five finger death punch
