00:00Hi there, it's Derren Howard here from Sussex World, just outside the Brighton training camp.
00:06We've just left the press conference from Fabian Herzella and we went through the injury news ahead of the game against Tottenham.
00:16There's a bit of mixed news really on the injury front.
00:19Jack Hinchelwood is going to be unavailable. He injured his ankle ligaments against Bournemouth in the first minute.
00:27It's a really unlucky blow for Hinchelwood and he's going to be out for around about six to eight weeks as he recovers from there.
00:35Maxime de Kuiper, he also sustained an injury in the first half against Bournemouth and he's expected to recover much quicker.
00:43It was a contact injury on the knee when he was shoved into the advertising hoardings at the Vitality.
00:50He's rated at 50-50 for the game against Tottenham.
00:53So Brighton will hope that he's available as soon as possible.
00:58Tottenham may arrive too soon but Herzella is hoping that he is fit and ready to go.
01:04He's played in every match or started every Premier League match so far this season following his arrival in the summer.
01:13Diego Gomez as well. He's also expected to be involved which is a huge boost considering he plays in the same position as Jack Hinchelwood.
01:21He's recovered from illness. He didn't feature against Bournemouth after his long haul international break and he should be available to face Tottenham.
01:34So a big chance for Gomez especially if he's used in that role as Jack Hinchelwood was.
01:41Perhaps an opportunity for the power grind to really establish himself in this Brighton team over the next couple of months or so.
01:51Herzella was keen to hit back quickly after the defeat at Bournemouth.
01:57He sort of stressed the small margins and the manner of the loss at the Vitality Stadium.
02:06I believe that Brighton are playing quite well but they just need to take that next step now just to keep up the consistency.
02:13Keep that intensity high as they were in the second half against Bournemouth and also in the second half against Manchester City.
02:19And Brighton are going to need that against Tottenham. Tottenham going well under Thomas Frank.
02:24The only points they've dropped this season so far came against Bournemouth as well when they were beaten 1-0.
02:32They just won in the Champions League last time out in midweek against Villarreal.
02:37So they'll be a very tough assignment for Brighton and they're going to have to be at their firing at their best for this one.
02:45Herzella also spoke about the new sporting director Jason Ato.
02:50He's coming in, he replaces David Weir, the outgoing David Weir.
02:54And Herzella sort of spoke a little bit about that just to say that it has changed.
02:59It's obviously a significant change behind the scenes for Brighton and that Jason Ato will need to get more of an overview.
03:08He's already had a couple of conversations with him as he sort of gets his feet under the table and works out what the priorities are as he gets more settled into the role.
03:17So yeah, some interesting comments on Herzella on that one as well.
03:22We'll be covering that on the Sussex World website and also looking ahead to the Toplam match and what we can expect from there,
03:30including sort of some dilemmas in the attacking areas with Danny Welbeck perhaps not as far in as freely as he can do.
03:38With Stefanos Tissimas, can he come in? Is Brian Gruder an option to perhaps play in the false nine position?
03:44So we'll dissect all that and a lot more on the Sussex World website as we look ahead to tomorrow's game against Tottenham at the Amex Stadium.
