Brighton fans defend Fabian Hurzeler before Spurs match

Albion fans spoke to Henry Bryant and Sam Morton about their thoughts on the season. The video was shot before the Seagulls face Europa League winners Spurs away.

00:00It's been tense, it's been nervous at times, isn't it? But it's been exhilarating, you know?

00:04It's been some good, good football played.

00:07I think he's been fantastic. Obviously, everyone loved Azurbi and people were a bit nervous,

00:11but actually, I think he's really brought some quality to the team and, yeah, he's been doing a good job.

00:16So, look forward to next season, what he's doing.

00:18Really, really positive. Yeah, really exciting.

00:19It's an outside chance, but, hey, we're up for it.

00:21I've been an Abbey in Sport for, well, since I was born, to be honest, because my dad was an Abbey in Sport before me.

00:28So, yeah, and an interesting fact, I was actually a fan of the season for 23, 24, I think it was.

00:35It's been a little bit frustrating at times because we've not shown as much consistency as I'd really like.

00:42We've sort of lost one, lost one, you know, we've been up and down.

00:47I'm really hoping that we're going to make Europe. That's my plan.

00:51So, I really hope we can because I'm allowed to sort of go if we are, you know, check the passports in date.

00:58And that's for Fabian. I appreciate he's young and everyone keeps mentioning that, but I think he's done a really, really good job.

01:04And people that are saying not so and to go, I think they are wrong and I think we need to definitely back him.

01:10Because I think he's learning as well as the young team are learning.

01:13And I completely agree with him that consistency's not been great, but, yeah, I'm 100% behind him.

01:20All in all, they've been really good for a young team that have come in.

01:23I know that we've spent a bit of money and I know some of them haven't impressed, some of the new ones.

01:28But they just need a bit of time. They are very young.

01:30And I think that it's really important that we've still got some older ones in the dressing room to sort of guide them and show them the way.

01:36So, I think we need to just give them a bit of time.

01:38I don't think there should be an expectation that we get into Europe because that is just an added bonus.

01:44The expectation is we are in the top ten.

01:45And that is brilliant and Tertsla's got us there.

01:51And, yeah, I think we've got the young team that we've got and they can only get better.

01:55So, I think, however we finish this season, I think it's a big result for Britain.
