00:0750-year-old John Stringer from Leeds rushed home from a family holiday in Turkey after he found out his dog,

00:14a two-year-old cockapoo called Molly, ran away from his elderly mum's cottage in Pateley Bridge.

00:20John's sister, Carolyn Oakley, reached out to Facebook users and before long a search operation was launched by Vivian Hansen

00:28through volunteer dog rescue charity Buster's Animal SOS team.

00:33After a week of chasing Leeds, setting bait traps with sausage, chicken and gravy,

00:38and using cameras to track Molly's location, this drone footage captured the moment John was finally reunited with his lost pup.

00:47John said it was such a relief when she ran over and was all cuddles,

00:51admitting it had been a rollercoaster week with everything on a knife edge.

00:56He had been expecting bad news at any moment, but said for it to end the way it did was just immense.

01:03NHS worker John was just days into his eight-day holiday when he received a phone call at 2am local time from his mum,

01:10who said Molly had gone missing.

01:12She said she had let her out for an evening wee until Molly had decided she wanted to go home,

01:17jumping her garden wall, running down the road, looking for John's car.

01:21And when his scent disappeared, she got lost running in the wrong direction, trying to find it again.

01:27At one point she was spotted six miles away from where she should have been,

01:31before being tracked to a nearer field.

01:34Vivian Hansen advises if you ever come across a lost dog,

01:37the safest thing to do is to take down its location and report it back to the owner,

01:41rather than getting its attention and grabbing it.
