00:00florida panthers media day and we got jesper bowquist joining us here on the program

00:05thanks for the time man really appreciate it yeah thank you thanks for having me how did you enjoy

00:08the summer uh yeah it's been good uh didn't have uh yeah just go home to sweden research a little

00:15bit and see some family and friends so it was good what did you do with your day with the cup

00:20uh yeah i uh obviously uh had a public event uh back in my hometown and uh and then celebrated

00:30at night with some family and friends uh unreal day and uh something i will uh forever uh remember

00:37for sure and the eating out of it uh not a whole lot eating a lot of drinking

00:44that celebrate listen yes the celebration you guys had it looked epic you know when you guys won the

00:52won it down here uh it looked it very much looked tons of fun what uh what were your favorite parts

00:57that you could share uh yeah like you said it was uh that was amazing so much fun and i feel like

01:03just celebrating each day together it was just awesome uh didn't really matter what we were up

01:10to it was just uh awesome and uh no such a great feeling and something i'm proud of be a part of

01:19yeah you guys i mean it was just top to bottom it was so impressive this run in particular just how

01:24many of you guys every contributed contributed had a night where like it just shined like did that feel

01:30natural throughout the season just of like hey this this could be your night this could be your moment

01:34where you're gonna step up and win the game for us uh yeah no i feel like um everyone

01:39feels so included i feel like such a tight group and everyone is treated the same and

01:44uh when it's your turn it's your turn right then you have to be ready and i feel like uh

01:49but the biggest part is everyone feels feels included i feel like so it's it's easy to come in and

01:57do your job it has to be the most comforting feeling to know that and on any given night

02:04whatever lines out there could be the dominant line that night a lot of teams don't have that

02:09luxury but it just seems like you guys go in every night knowing that hey we don't know who it's

02:16going to be so we're all going to be ready for it yeah for sure and uh yeah like you said uh we have

02:24like four competitive lines and i feel like the way we play fits pretty much everyone and uh it's

02:31like everyone plays the same right so it doesn't really matter who you're lining up with so everyone

02:36will do the same things but obviously everyone is a little bit different but uh the foundation

02:41is the same and i feel like uh yeah like i said before like once it's your turn you know what to do

02:48and uh uh yeah and obviously we have some amazing players on this team too so you guys are stacked yeah

02:56yeah yeah so it's it's been fun for sure yeah because it was uh bill zito was just saying this morning and

03:02he was like uh because somebody was asking hey like what's kind of the secret sauce you guys and he

03:06said that this team doesn't complain like nobody complains on this team um how rare is that in hockey

03:14that there's not people fighting for ice time or just little things because just and and what do you

03:18think that comes from here uh i think like everyone wants to win so bad here and like you just to be

03:26honest you you just put your head down and works right so and that's something i've been feeling here

03:31right everyone is so desperate to win and whatever it's your job you just do it and uh yeah just put

03:38your head down to work it's been uh it's been an impressive thing to see for sure do you guys you

03:43know does does it feel like when you get ready to does it feel like you had the right amount of time

03:48off or did because it's so hard to get to a stanley cup and these guys the journeys you guys have been

03:53through so does it are you are you jonesing to get back out there or or do you and you're like oh my god

03:59this is going to be a long season uh daunting again or is it is there just genuine excitement

04:03getting back into this thing no it's a pure excitement i feel like and i feel like everyone

04:09around the team takes so good care of us and tracking what we what we need and when and stuff

04:14like that so but last few weeks here you feel so excited to be back and now playing for sure you had

04:20a very long break what's that it's not a very long break no no it's not for sure but uh usually like

04:28first weeks are like you're pretty tired right and it's a long season but then after like last months

04:35or months months or so it's uh you feel excited to get back here for sure anything personally you did

04:41as far as just getting like ready for the season that you you wanted to to tweak or or get better at and

04:46uh i always say like a little bit of everything but i feel like a lot a lot for me comes like

04:54continue to get stronger like i put some put some weight on and i feel like a lot of that a lot of

05:00like my weaknesses will get better with that so but obviously everything we're looking forward to it
