00:00Jessica, starting with you, a tie full of twists and turns, but what was your take on the whole thing?
00:05Well, I mean, first of all, I think Emma did an unbelievable job to be able to save match points.
00:10I watched, you know, the whole end of the third set, and it was crazy and wild.
00:16So I feel like she's the MVP today because if we didn't have her, we wouldn't really be in this position.
00:22So that was great.
00:24And then I thought Rabakina played really well.
00:26I had a lot of chances in the first set, and the momentum just kind of switched.
00:30And I feel like it's tough when you're playing someone that's such a big server, especially indoors.
00:34When you can't quite, you know, maybe get the break in the first to come back or put that pressure on,
00:39she was able to kind of just run away within the second.
00:41But quick turnaround, and I knew I was coming out for doubles, so I just kind of wanted to redeem myself out there.
00:46I thought I played really well.
00:47And Taylor did a great job of showing why she's, you know, the best doubles player in the world.
00:52And it was fun to play with her again and get out there and team up again after it's been a long time.
00:58So it was fun that we got to clinch that.
01:00Yeah, and Lindsay, what was your assessment on the whole thing?
01:02Yeah, you know, I keep saying it, but we knew it was going to be really tough out there.
01:06They have such a great team.
01:07They have a lot of depth.
01:08So we obviously felt like Emma's was the must-win match for us, the one we really wanted to win.
01:15And she did a fantastic job fighting down the stretch.
01:18I know she wasn't thrilled with how she played, but she never gives up and really gave the team a lot of spirit
01:23with how she was able to pull that one off, saving the couple match points.
01:27And then also with Jess, I mean, I thought Robokina played one of the best matches I've ever seen her play.
01:32Good conditions for her.
01:34Jess stayed really positive and calm.
01:36And, you know, she's our leader, and she knew before the day started that she was going to be playing both if we needed her to.
01:43So she came off the court.
01:44I looked at her, and she goes, I'm good.
01:47So I was really happy with how they played doubles.
01:49They've both been number one in the world.
01:51They both know how to play.
01:52But more importantly, they're great friends, Taylor and Jess.
01:54So that natural camaraderie also, I think, really came through and able to lead us to the semifinals.
02:01And what's it like when you haven't got that singles win, but then you step into the doubles and you team up?
02:04Does it give you more fight?
02:06Definitely.
02:07I mean, you go out there and, you know, playing as the number one and not being able to get the win is always kind of disappointing.
02:14But, you know, being put right back in for doubles, you always want to redeem yourself and put yourself out there and give yourself another chance to help the team out.
02:21So, you know, it's a tough turnaround.
02:23But honestly, I didn't think I played bad.
02:25I honestly just thought Alina played really high level today.
02:28And, you know, my job is just to get back out there and try to get us a win.
02:32Yeah.
02:32And through to the semifinals, first time since 2021, I believe.
02:35So how are you feeling?
02:37I think we're excited.
02:39I mean, our goal coming here was to try and win it.
02:41We have a team that we know is capable of achieving that.
02:44But we knew we had to get through this hurdle first.
02:47So through now to the semis, we'll take a day to kind of go over everything and catch our breath tonight, have a little celebration and then get ready for Saturday semi.
02:56And what do you think you did learn from tonight?
02:57Because obviously it was very close.
02:58Could have gone either way.
03:00It's all about the team.
03:01You know, before we went out on court, Jess was leading us in the cheer and the talk and was saying, like, no matter what, we're going to try our hardest for everyone out there on the court today.
03:11And we might face some adversity, but we're going to stick together.
