00:00Katie, one excellent start for Great Britain. Take me through the match.

00:04Yeah, I mean, to start with, I think Sone started us off great. I think she played so, so well.

00:11Extremely solid, very difficult opponents today. You can never underestimate them. I know how tough they are to beat.

00:18I felt like I just tried to use the momentum from Sone and come out and play my game.

00:22And I felt like I executed really well and stayed tough in the big moments.

00:26And it made the difference today. And I felt like I didn't let up at all.

00:30And I just played all the way through. So I'm very pleased with my performance today.

00:33And it feels like Great Britain will come here with real purpose this year.

00:37Is that true to say, especially off the back of that performance?

00:40Yeah, honestly, I feel like every year we come here, we get more comfortable.

00:45I think we put the work in as a team and I think we all get on really well, which is really nice.

00:50You know, not only do we have a great time on the court, we do off the court as well, which is a great feeling.

00:56And looking at the bench and knowing that the girls have got my back no matter what is a very calming feeling.

01:01And yeah, it helps me play good tennis. So yeah, I'm very grateful to have them here supporting me.

01:07The support staff don't get enough credit for what they do also.

01:10And yeah, it's nice to see them kind of on this journey with us.

01:13And I hope that one day we can lift the trophy for them.

01:16Yeah. And looking ahead, obviously, you've got a very tough matchup coming up.

01:20But surely this gives you a bit of confidence going into that.

01:23Yeah. Obviously, when we face the USA in the semifinals, it's going to be a really difficult battle.

01:29All world class tennis players at the other end of the court.

01:32And we're going to have to bring some game, some of our best for sure.

01:35But, you know, anything's possible in this format.

01:38I think that's the most exciting thing about Billie Jean King Cup.

01:40And yeah, we're definitely going to take it to them. I'm excited at the prospect of it.

01:45And how are you and the team feeling at the moment being out here in China together as a team

01:49and also just having been out there and experienced the atmosphere of the court?

01:52Yeah, I mean, the atmosphere has been really nice.

01:55I feel like it's been pretty rowdy, which is a nice feeling when you walk out onto a court.

02:00You know, we've got a lot of British fans that follow us and they've been there for us.

02:05So, yeah, you kind of feel at home automatically when they're around.

02:08So, yeah, it was really nice to see the atmosphere.

02:11A lot of people were out there today and yeah, it created a nice place to play tennis.
