00:16Yeah, so happy and so proud of all the ladies on this team.
00:21We knew it was going to be so tough when we saw the draw even a couple of months ago.
00:25And we got into a big battle today. Emma was outstanding in hanging around and figuring out a way to pull a match out that I'm not sure she was going to win at one point.
00:37But saving a couple of match points, we knew that was the one we really wanted to win and get the tie off to good momentum.
00:45Jess, Rubikina played so well. There wasn't much Jess could do out there indoors, which she's serving like that and hitting her ground strokes like that.
00:54So we knew in doubles, we had a great advantage. Two of the best doubles players up here, both have been ranked number one in the world.

03:25second set in particular was so tight what do you think proved the difference you guys really
03:29lifted your level especially in that tie break yeah i mean i felt like during the match we were
03:35doing the right things and you know the the other team they started playing a little bit better and
03:40doing some things differently and you kind of expect that on the court and so like you said
03:45we just raised our level but kind of just committed to the things that we were doing before that were
03:49working and we just were focused on doing the right things having good energy we had great energy on
03:54the sidelines from our team and from lindsey on the bench and so that always helps a lot when when
04:00there's so much positivity flowing and um we really had a great time out there and it feels great to
04:05get the win and jessica you mentioned how long it was since you've played together i wonder how much
04:10practice did you get in this week um with the days that you've had we've played like four games
04:14four games yeah but i feel like with tay and i it's like i don't know it's like peanut butter and
04:20jelly when we get back out there i mean i always love playing with a lefty makes my life a lot easier
04:26i think our games complement each other really well and i think you know taylor she's an amazing
04:31doubles player she could probably play with anybody but i think you know when me i'm really solid from
04:37the baseline as long as i'm serving and returning well i feel like she's always going to be there at the
04:40net to kind of pick up and pick off the the volleys at the net and um i feel like our games
04:46just kind of mesh you know that way and just finally one for lindsey this is the first time
04:51since 2021 that the the u.s are into the semi-finals what does that mean as well and yeah what are your
04:58your hopes are you coming are you in it to win it i guess at this point yeah we didn't come here to
05:02get to the semis so uh this is the first step in what we knew was going to be a tough week so
05:06uh excited to get back out there on saturday we'll all be keeping an eye on tonight's result

05:19question for jessica how do you um you mentioned that you came to the city before and how do you feel
05:27about the atmosphere of playing tennis match in shenzhen and also uh want to get your view on you know
05:35how do you feel about the whole uh the facilities and the crowd the audience and the culture of the
05:41city thank you yeah i um i played shenzhen a long time ago um very long time ago when there was a
05:48wta event here and i don't i think i did actually pretty well um that was the last time i was here
05:54before australia one year so it's nice being back i always remembered it as being a really great city
05:59um i you know even though we played very early today i think there was a lot of fans here which was
06:04really fun and supportive um there's always a lot of fun signs that the fans make for me so i always
06:09enjoy that aspect especially when i come to china so it's so far it's been a great um a great experience
06:14the center court is awesome you know i know that wta finals was here so you know they have a great
06:19facility a great setup and it's my first final for billy jean king so i've been um really impressed
