00:00Do you think Christian Gonzalez is going to play on Sunday?
00:03I don't know this, but I would just say based on him talking to us yesterday,
00:07his demeanor in that session, Mike Vrabel talking about it yesterday,
00:12as dismissive as he was of the questions, and I think that's what ticked him off.
00:16There were so many injury questions, Christian Gonzalez injury questions,
00:19general injury questions.
00:20He was asked a question about the Miami game.
00:22It got to the point where team spokesperson Stacey James said,
00:29okay, two more questions, guys.
00:30He took one more and left, said, thanks, guys.
00:31See you later.
00:32He was not happy.
00:36But it does seem like this has been sort of the week of the grand unveiling of Christian Gonzalez.
00:40He did that interview with Good Morning Football earlier this week.
00:43That was sort of odd given that he hadn't played or practiced since July 28th.
00:48So if I had to guess, I would say, yeah, I think he's going to play.
00:51Now, does that mean he's going to get a full complement of snaps?
00:55I doubt it.
00:56But that would be really shocking to me if he plays 60 snaps on Sunday.
01:00So how do you package it together?
01:02I don't know.
01:02Do you just play him on third downs?
01:04Do you just play him one series on, one series off, and try to work him back in slowly that way?
01:08Can I ask you a question?
01:09What if someone gets hurt?
01:11If he's on your active roster and he's there on game day and you want to limit his snaps,
01:16what happens if someone gets hurt?
01:18To me, in that situation, you would stick with the plan for Gonzalez and say Carlton Davis,
01:23who's dealing with an Achilles issue, apparently, that limited him in practice yesterday.
01:29Then you would really lean on Alex Austin, Marcus Jones, and whether it's one of your special teams' corners.
01:36They do have a couple that are on the roster that play a lot.
01:39Essentially, you'd sacrifice perhaps winning the game to keep Gonzalez's snaps limited.
01:45I just don't think you think that would be the difference between winning and losing.
01:49If Carlton Davis gets hurt and you can't play Christian Gonzalez every snap in his place.
01:52If you're missing your two starting corners, that could be the difference of winning and losing.
01:56But how would not playing Christian Gonzalez at all help you in that situation?
02:01You could have someone else on the active roster.
02:03But that's what I'm saying.
02:04Would that guy who's the 46th guy on the roster really be the difference?
02:08If you're playing him, your odds of winning and losing are very low anyway.
02:12You might as well have Gonzalez on the field for a handful of snaps.
02:16That, to me, would be more beneficial.
