00:00Colombian President Gustavo Petro called insulting the U.S. government's desertification of the South American nation in its struggle against drug trafficking.
00:10In a statement to the press before flying to the city of Bucaramanga, the president rejected Washington's decision and urged it to be careful.
00:18Petro said the decision was totally unfair since Colombia was the country that more blood has shed trying to prevent drugs from reaching the United States and Europe.
00:30He also stressed that drug trafficking needs to be tackled through the issue of drugs and not throughout the certification process.
