00:00The United Kingdom has expressed interest in establishing a status of visiting forces agreement with the Philippines

00:06following the visit of UK Minister of State for Defense, Lord Vernon Coker,

00:12to Defense Secretary Gilberto Teodoro Jr. at Camp Aguinaldo.

00:16The two sides have agreed to push forward with negotiations to enhance collaboration and interoperability between their armed forces.

00:25Secretary Teodoro stated that they are simply awaiting President Ferdinand Marcos Jr.'s green light to officially move forward with the talks.

00:33The Department of National Defense highlighted the importance of more countries supporting the Philippines,

00:39particularly in addressing challenges in the West Philippine Sea.
