00:00The Banco Central ng Pilipinas, or BSP, reported the country's external debt service burden increased as of September.

00:07This amounted to $12.85 billion from $11 billion recorded in the same month last year.

00:15Meanwhile, interest payments reached $5.925 billion,

00:20marking a 16.81% increase from $5.72 billion the previous year.

00:27The country's total external debt climbed to $139.643 billion by the end of September,

00:35a 17.5% rise compared to $118.833 billion during the same period last year.
