00:00And I don't give a mic is where you're from. I don't care where you're from if you've been here 10 minutes, 10 years or 1066. The minute you join our union, you put the RNT badge on, you're one of us and we'll be on you.
00:13We have 63 members in TfL London Underground who are at risk and we expect people to start to leave the country from November. The reason we're so annoyed about this is because the decision to change the skilled worker categories was done by a statutory instrument in Parliament, start to finish in three weeks flat, without any consideration for transitional arrangements or what might be done to look after people who are working here now.
00:42Our members in TfL London Underground took permanent contracts of employment on the clear expectation that they would be starting a student visa and transitioning to a skilled worker visa, which is why they were given permanent contracts of employment. So their expectation was to stay here. Many of them are built with families here, taking out mortgages, you know, all the things you'd expect. And in three weeks flat from start to finish, they're being asked to leave. And we think this isn't fair.
01:13everybody wants to look after the job to stop the department in the declaration of performing school, and this isn't fair.
