00:00movie begins with a young college student named walt he is a very bad decision and troublemaker

00:05his dream is to travel to mars but the government has declined his applications 36 times and this

00:11is his last attempt walt is the type of guy to run his mouth a lot walt works part-time in the

00:16local cafeteria and is unknowingly desperate for a relationship even the helper robot makes fun of

00:22walt from time to time that night walt explains to his friend that he does not want to follow his

00:27parents footsteps and do just the same class and ordinary jobs that they pursued walt worships the

00:33person called leon covey who was the first person to step on mars hearing this his friend gets annoyed

00:38with him before going to the party his friend wants him to not talk about his mars philosophy and act

00:44normal in front of everyone on the other hand this is sophie she belongs to a wealthy family she is

00:50talking to her boyfriend who went to mars with his family recently walt accidentally enters sophie's

00:55room and encounters her chatting with someone on mars this scares sophie and she starts to shout at him

01:00being distracted he ends up breaking her orb before leaving her room walt who is frustrated with the

01:06party goes outside and meets a drunk woman who hugs her while telling her a sad story this was being

01:11watched by another girl whose name was jinny right after they realized that they once studied in

01:16university together in their freshman year she reveals that she is leaving the next day but did not

01:21reveal where they decide to spend the whole night together walt has praised mars so much that she is

01:27convinced that she is making the right decision to which walt is shocked to hear that she is leaving

01:32for his dream place mars and nowhere else before she leaves and tells him goodbye they look into each

01:43the application reviewer and gets to know that his final application has been rejected as well

01:48even though walt has a stronger reason to go to mars which is jinny still his odds of going there are

01:53none the only way is if he can buy a commercial ticket to mars which costs a million dollars back

01:59at work walt is met with sophie again and offers her a drink because she was sitting in the cafeteria

02:04for more than five hours this was due to the distance between herself and her boyfriend in the end

02:10walt suggests to her that they can sit in an air duct and travel to mars for free but she reveals

02:15that she can buy herself a ticket if she wanted to but she is afraid of flying due to aerophobia

02:20before leaving something struck sophie's mind and she ends up booking herself a ticket for mars

02:25later on walt gets a text from jinny where she explains to him about a cat who was stuck in one

02:30of the air pods and traveled to mars by an accident this gives walt an idea and he packs his bags ready

02:36to travel to mars the next day walt is able to convince sophie to let him take her to the gates and tell

02:41the staff that he is family it is time for sophie to leave walt gives her a toy gift before leaving

02:47to calm herself down sophie has a tendency to dance when she is stressed this is walt's chance to enter

02:53the air pods he carefully enters the danger zone and sneaks into one of the advanced generation escape

02:59pods at the time of the rocket launch walt starts to panic and gets a huge dose of morphine injected that

03:05puts him to sleep sophie is also very scared but manages to go through the turbulence they finally

04:55room due to her being very drunk before sleep they decide to do something really amazing for sophie's

05:00birthday they go out in space and look at the mars up close in the middle they also have some sort of

05:06romantic moment suddenly something bashes the space shuttle and everyone goes into emergency mode

05:11due to this walt will have to hide in air ducts or he will get caught while telling walt not to go

05:16towards turbines while the signals interrupt their conversation later she thinks that he picked the

05:21wrong shaft and she starts to call him names suddenly walt comes out of nowhere walt also made a small

05:2710 of his own in which they watch a 3d view of the planets and how the universe was born sophie gets

05:33a call from calvin and joins him she is about to tell him something but seeing that he had decorated

05:38her room in such a great way changes her mind seeing this she becomes emotional and tells walt that

05:43she will not be able to help him anymore she cannot risk her life on mars because her family is there

05:48sophie gets to know that walt and ginny only dated just for about a month and hearing this she almost

05:53throw up meanwhile walt starts to accuse her of following calvin's dreams and not hers he explains

05:59that he will never come after her they finally arrive at mars where sophie meets the love of her

06:04life while walt gets arrested for his actions next ginny arrives to meet walt and reveals that she made a

06:11new boyfriend she also gives her the cat called ripley who accidentally came to mars in the past

06:16before leaving ginny says that he is in love with mars and she is happy that he finally made it

06:21on the other hand sophie is offered a 12-year life cycle trial to which she seems a bit surprised

06:26next walt wakes up and hears a sound that asks him to follow the path he ends up coming to a big room

06:32where he sees his idol leon covey he explains that he has been monitoring his progress since the start

06:38and knew everything the board thought of it as a security system test and let him do all this

06:43they want to take him back to earth and legally take action against him but he hate the board and

06:49released his video on the internet which went viral now the board is scared to take any action

06:53against the common man he offers him a contract in which they will use his videos for promotion and

06:59let him live on mars happily calvin is forcing sophie to work in her team and does not care about her

07:04thesis she is shocked to hear it walt gets to know that everyone knew about him from the start

07:09he thought it would be different but it is pretty much the same experience sophie and calvin also arrive

07:15at the party where calvin leaves her to meet his friends once again walt and sophie meet up and tell

07:20each other drastic stories but inside she is devastated later on sophie's family tells her

07:26that she should listen to her heart and they just want her happiness even if that means going back to

07:30earth in the next scene leon covey offers walt a wonderful offer to go and explore a dwarf planet

07:36he will be the first one to explore it he accepts the offer and tries to talk to sophie about it

07:41but he gets to know that sophie is not a resident on mars anymore hearing this walt also decides to go

07:47back to earth and we see sophie in the space shuttle where walt also arrives and they both start to kiss
