00:01Police emergency.
00:03Every night in Britain.
00:05Okay, we'll get police making to you as a grade one emergency.
00:08Officers of the law.
00:10Yeah, that's noted, we're just round the corner.
00:12Clock on.
00:13You'll have to put a stop on tonight.
00:15I'll lock the door! I'll lock the door now!
00:17To keep the peace.
00:20And protect us.
00:21Sorry!
00:22I need to get you home safe.
00:23While we sleep.
00:25It's your sensation! Stay me now!
00:27You're under arrest for a possession of loads of articles.
00:29I love the night shift.
00:31It's my favourite shift.
00:32I'm not having now!
00:33Oi!
00:34Sometimes it can just go mental for no reason.
00:36Hi!
00:37Can you get a set of cups on here?
00:38Move, move, move!
00:39Hey, hey, hey!
00:40Down on the ground!
00:42We filmed with Gloucestershire Constabulary.
00:45Is our server a taser?
00:47Show me your hands now!
00:48Following their 999 response team.
00:51Oscar Tanger 5-9, Oscar Tanger 5-9.
00:54Wait! Move on!
00:55Stay where you are!
00:56And specialist units.
00:58What have I got to?
00:59There's more flying going on.
01:00Oh, Willie!
01:01Can we have an ambulance, could we?
01:04To show the highs.
01:06Snakes!
01:07Shall we go?
01:08Yeah, let's go.
01:09And the lows.
01:10Got any weapons on you or anything like that?
01:11Weapons?
01:12It's probably Willie.
01:13I'm so sorry, my darling.
01:14Not darling.
01:16Of the night shift.
01:17I love working nights.
01:19It's when you get the chance to catch that old-fashioned career criminal.
01:22I thrive on that because I join the police to lock criminals up.
01:25That escalated quickly, didn't they?
01:27Let's go.
01:28On the night shift, local policing officers PC's Williamson and Dring are out on patrol.
01:51Most arrested officers for crimes that warrant.
01:54Crime recordable.
01:55There we go.
01:56She is like my little sister, so we do bicker quite a lot.
02:00Do you want a little medal?
02:01I would, actually.
02:02I will make you one.
02:03I will make you one.
02:04I will make you one.
02:05We have no problem in telling each other the absolute truth and being a bit rude and having
02:09a bit of banter, but when it cracks down to it, we absolutely back each other up.
02:13When in town, when you go to jail.
02:16We both come out with some good ideas, and she's proactive, and she wants to get the
02:21job done, and that's how I like to work.
02:2420 minutes into their shift, their first call comes in.
02:28He was caught from ambulance.
02:29They've had a call from a gentleman who states he's been attacked with a serious bleeding
02:34from the head.
02:35He's on blood thinners.
02:36Defenders described as IC1 male with grey knee length short.
02:42Stay fine.
02:43Stay fine.
02:44So we've got a chap that's got hit over the head by an unknown offender who's made
02:50off, but the chap's got quite serious bleeding to the head and is on blood thinners, so it
02:54doesn't sound good, and ambulance are not yet with him.
02:57The victim's medication means he's in danger of bleeding out before help arrives.
03:04I'm going to put some gloves on because I don't fancy getting blood all over me.
03:09You're not?
03:10No, not really.
03:11That's what we're in the job for, mate.
03:13Blood, sick.
03:14Poo.
03:15100% poo is the worst.
03:16Blood's probably the best one out of all of them.
03:21In the town centre, control room think they may have spotted the suspect on their cameras.
03:26We've got him on camera 20 minutes ago now.
03:31He's a white male, wearing a white t-shirt, grey shorts, white trainers.
03:40That's all noted.
03:41Are you able to screen grab that and send it to our inboxes to look at?
03:46Yeah.
03:47But before they can look for the suspect, they need to check the victim.
03:53How are we doing?
03:54You okay?
03:55Pretty Lord.
03:56What happened?
03:57I stupidly got involved with some young youths smashing up the youth bar.
03:58Yeah.
03:59I went to take a video of them all smashing up.
04:00Then he jumped over the fence and said, come on, let's let me and you sort it out.
04:01I said, no, let's leave it alone.
04:02He smacked me across the head.
04:03Do you mind?
04:04So I tried to get to somewhere where I could get some help.
04:06This kind of gentleman here and the rest of the people helped me out.
04:10Did any of you guys witness it?
04:11I got, yeah, we went and said I got it all on video.
04:12Oh, beautiful.
04:13Yeah.
04:14You were able to send me that?
04:15Yeah.
04:16When witnesses do come forward and tell us exactly what they've seen, it makes our
04:33job so much easier.
04:34That was where, oh, at one point he battered my phone out of my hand.
04:39Because she's got her hand.
04:40Yeah.
04:41Beautiful.
04:42Is that all?
04:43That's beautiful.
04:44Is that all right?
04:45Yeah, so if you...
04:46As P.C. Williamson looks at the evidence, P.C. Dring is concerned about the man's injury.
04:53OK.
04:54That is quite a nasty, nasty injury, isn't it?
04:58Do you know who these people are?
05:00You don't know.
05:01You know them by name.
05:02Our CCTV cameras have picked up potentially who they are.
05:07I'm quite keen to whiz you down to hospital.
05:10I'll just see what ETA is of ambulance.
05:12He's lucky to get away with the injuries that he did.
05:15You know, he could have been knocked out.
05:16He could have had a brain injury.
05:17He could have had anything.
05:18But there's just no care.
05:19No care in the world what he did.
05:21It's quite frightening that people will just do that.
05:25Another unit has arrived to provide extra support.
05:28He could have been knocked out.
05:31Do you feelin' all right?
05:32I'm good.
05:33OK.
05:34I'll be around the corner from hospital.
05:36Yeah, yeah.
05:37OK.
05:38How does that feel?
05:40Good and tight, yeah.
05:41OK.
05:42Nice one.
05:43He's just done the right thing, and that is challenge some people for their behaviour.
05:47And they've just taken it upon themselves to do something really nasty.
05:50Had that gone any lower and hit his eye, you'd be talking life-changing injuries almost.
05:54So, especially with the complications of him being on blood thinners, a head injury plus blood thinners is the recipe for disaster.
06:02As the other officer takes the victim to the hospital, PC's Williamson and Dring are now on the hunt for the suspect.
06:16Imagine just smashing some bloke over the head.
06:18Oh, I stabbed someone last week.
06:19I don't care.
06:20Being blase or canoam or something.
06:32The suspect has a head start, but with clear video footage confirming his identity, they know exactly who they're looking for.
06:42He's quite distinctive. He's got a terrible haircut.
06:52They managed to get a direction of travel at all for them.
06:55Oh, that's a negative.
06:56Can I just clarify the last location they were sighted then?
06:59It's in the garden.
07:00Still in there?
07:01Received.
07:02I think he's still in there now.
07:03Yeah.
07:04There's a group still in the middle of the park.
07:05Yeah, 5252.
07:06Yeah.
07:07Alf Hotel, two minutes away.
07:10The last sighting on the suspect was in a local park, so they decide to take a closer look.
07:17But just as they start their search, an update comes through from the control room.
07:21The suspect was last seen approximately five minutes ago heading north over.
07:28Did you hear that?
07:29Yeah.
07:30Get in the car.
07:31Quick.
07:32An alleged assault has left a man needing hospital treatment for head injuries.
07:46With help from witnesses.
07:47I've got it all on video.
07:48Beautiful.
07:49And from CCTV, PC's Williamson and Ring are hot on the heels of the suspect.
07:53Yep.
07:54We're one minute drive away.
07:55We do have coverage on camera.
07:56Right, right, right.
07:57Yep.
07:58They head towards the area where the suspect was last seen.
07:59Go, go, go, go, go, go.
08:00That's our callers from earlier, isn't it?
08:01No, I think that is them.
08:02Where?
08:03Did you see it?
08:06Ask her.
08:21Ask her, ask her.
08:23Have you seen her in here?
08:31Have you seen someone in a light top white top great bottoms coming down that way. No worries. Thank you
08:41Why do you reckon they've gone? Where's he gone? Ah, so he's gone wrong
08:47Oh
08:55Stop stop stop
08:58QM there's an update on the location. The suspects now heading west
09:05The control room pinpoints exactly where the suspect is doing that
09:11We've got live footage of the suspect on camera at the moment
09:15Control room do an absolute brilliant job and we rely on them so so much as part of our job and we wouldn't be able to get the results
09:21We do without them
09:24Other units are also closing in
09:28You'll probably run he's gonna run quite cool
09:31Our hotel to an extra year. We're just approaching if you could guide us in where we should be
09:37See one we're at the roundabout at the top now again
09:39Where is this gonna be on the left or the right? Yeah, there he is
09:48Yennet
09:50Stop where you are
09:51Stop where you are
09:52Stop
09:52One run in one run in
10:04You should come round the back
10:10With all angles covered the suspect is quickly caught
10:13And dog handler pc smith was first on the scene
10:18Looking at if i was in the right place right time and instead of getting out on foot and chasing him
10:23Basically driven alongside him
10:25Where he's all out of breath and he stopped so um yeah, we've arrested him for an assault
10:31It's a team effort you know throughout the whole police force
10:35You know we are officers on the ground but without our support staff we we'd be lost you know
10:40We've got the eyes in the sky and then we've got our spec ops that can help you know
10:44Especially with the dogs and the willing witnesses that wanted to come forward and saw something said this isn't right
10:49I need to do something about it
10:51Good result yeah
10:52Yeah
10:53Quite happy with that
10:53I mean um
10:54It's very rare we get a job where we get such clear footage of somebody in order to id them so quickly
10:59If you know a crime has just happened under your nose every instinct in you is like i want to find them that
11:04That's why you join the job that i want to find that person
11:17McDonald's followed by foot chase is probably not the best thing in the world but cheers boys
11:29It's a full moon it's a friday night
11:34Anything could happen and it's payday weekend and half term
11:39On the night shift local policing officer pc foxhole is joined by special constable weber
11:46I went to bed at five this morning i woke up at seven
11:49I am full of energy tonight
11:52That's what you could all have
11:53And i'm in a good mood because of it let's hope we don't meet someone to ruin that
11:59Webber has been a special for just over a year
12:02I come in on a couple of weekends a month and you turn up as basically i would say free labor
12:09But in a good way and you know you're there to help and do everything you can
12:13So we've got exactly the same powers as a police officer
12:16But we do everything a normal police officer does you don't get paid
12:20I started out as a special i was a special for a couple of years
12:25It was good
12:26Opened my eyes to a lot
12:29I think the number one thing is you get the experience
12:31Yeah
12:32It's always like a try before you buy
12:34Yeah isn't it really
12:35It's like dipping your toe in before you get chucked in the deep end
12:39I don't get on there there's some days i do go home and i think well is it really worth it but then
12:45You go back and then you go to a different job something happens then you're like yeah
12:49No that's why you're doing it that's why i can't describe the job as a roller coaster you go through phases where you have a lot of lows and all
12:54It takes is one decent job say you know one burglary in progress you get the offenders and
12:59You know get a conviction out of it and that brings it right back up again
13:03QR to all mobiles on this channel we've got quite a lot of screaming and shouting being heard
13:07It's quite loud disturbance
13:11They're answering a call to investigate a disturbance 20 minutes outside gloucester
13:16I just had another look at it on the actual log
13:19So a large group of ewes probably about 30 having a party by the lake
13:2330 yeah 30 so they're having a party by the lake and quite abusive towards members of the public who are fishing
13:30Erm the caller said she's not good she would go out and tell them to clear off but she's not going to because the amount of numbers
13:37If it's a full moon i don't like it
13:42Brings out the craziness in people i've never worked a shift where there's been a full moon and it's been calm
13:48It's always been
13:51It's always been ridiculously busy odd jobs weird jobs
13:56You go through times where you think i've seen it all
13:59Then comes the full moon and it turns out you've not seen it all
14:05I mean four moves on its own bad enough as it is but yeah when you mix that in a cocktail with payday weekend
14:10friday night
14:12And half term and the sun's been out
14:14It is it's 12 o'clock it's a cocktail for madness
14:21The report says the youths are gathered at a lake
14:26It's all green and no water at the moment
14:30We've got to go through it
14:33Inaccessible by car they're gonna have to walk and it's pitch black let's have it then
14:39I don't like dark places
14:46Oh dear
14:52I can't hear anything so
14:55Look at that moon look
14:57That's just
14:59What's the word is it ominous?
15:00Yes
15:08Well this path takes all the way down apparently to some houses
15:11Yeah
15:12The lake should be on our left or right
15:15Okay
15:16I think i see something shiny there that's probably the water
15:19How'd you get to it though?
15:25Oh man
15:29Give me the heebie-jeebies
15:31There's no kids now
15:34Look at that for a view though
15:36It's beautiful, isn't it?
15:37Yeah
15:43I'm fairly content
15:45Yeah
15:45There's no kids here
15:46Looks like they cleaned up after themselves
15:48No to be fair
15:49If I was a kid and I was still here
15:51I'll be playing a joke on this one
15:52I'll jump out of the bushes or something
15:54Oh yeah
15:56Oh look at that
15:56We found a swimmer
16:00That's cute though look at that
16:02There's no kids here there's no signs of litter or anything like that
16:08Um I think we're going to get out of here before the full moon gets us
16:14But the night's still young for pc foxhole and special constable weber
16:20Torches away torches away
16:32No
16:39PC shaw is eight months into his training with the roads policing team
16:44I've always had a keen interest in cars when I was 16 17 I had a classic car that I used to play with a little bit
16:50And there's an old mini cooper used to do a bit of work on it that got me interested in cars and then um ultimately obviously police cars as well
16:58Tonight he's paired with experienced officer pc webb who's been in the force for 19 years
17:05He's my mentor he's been doing it a long time he's a wealth of knowledge and he's only too happy to
17:11Share that knowledge and and help wherever he can
17:17Where we going left yeah
17:20He likes to work in chownton i don't know chownton as well as i know the county so as a result i tend to
17:27Only go in there when i'm needed
17:33You all right i feel a little bit shaky it's sweating you go pc shaw was with the local
17:38Policing team in cheltenham before joining the traffic unit
17:42So he's in familiar territory
17:44you get to know like the problem hot spot areas and
17:48Obviously your regular customers as we call them you get to know kind of the regular
17:54Criminals and where they hang out
17:58It's not long before a car catches their attention
18:02He's got a bit tanky only that
18:06As i'm entering chownton i see a white vehicle
18:09Which is clearly not traveling at 30 miles an hour coming towards us and you can tell because the different headlights rises as the
18:17Accelerator pedals pushed so you know it's going
18:27As i've turned around at the traffic lights
18:31I've put my lights on and i would you would anticipate it would only be about 50 yards of the road
18:36But it was right the way down the other end of the road
18:40So it's at that point i'm like yeah he's he's making off for me now
18:43Yeah i'll i'll just take a 5-3 priority
18:50Got a vehicle failing to stop shelley road
18:55Now tennyson road
18:57Collar 1884
18:59advanced driver t-pack train
19:01member of public are great in these scenarios because they just start pointing where they've gone
19:07road conditions are dry traffic is light it's a decamp decamp
19:13You
19:23Just out of town road policing officers pcs durant and bowers are halfway through their night shift
19:29roads policing is is one of the roles where we meet a majority of people that are just the general public
19:36You know they're not the people that we deal with day in day out and ultimately it's just because
19:42Sometimes they've made a small mistake
19:44They're on patrol just outside chelten
19:48We don't need to persecute everybody on making a small mistake we can educate drivers
19:53Certain things something you can use our discretion where appropriate
19:58It's not hanging around is it wasn't was it
19:59They've just spotted a car veering around a corner at speed
20:08Almost into here
20:13Right there it is
20:15Given the time of night and erratic driving they check the number plate on the system
20:19I
20:22Cholm
20:24Hi
20:27Got you all excited then it just went really quick and I snapped quite quick into the um into the right hander
20:36Why has that only just come up especially being used in drug supply brilliant
20:40Didn't come up and say anything then did it fantastic the car is on the police watch list
20:48Can you go back to his uh yeah
20:53There's no reports on on here because it's just on there
21:05It's just on there
21:09Yeah it's still there
21:14That's her innit do me a unified check please
21:17By sheer luck the female driver is walking towards them
21:20Stay there for me
21:25Standby there's a marker on your vehicle
21:29What does that mean it means that well it means I need to speak to you all right okay
21:34What are you doing out and about i was just coming to a friend's quickly you're coming to a friend's
21:37Yeah i need to give her a lift somewhere
21:40Okay what i'm going to do okay i'm going to detain you under section 23 of the misuse of drugs act
21:46What does that mean
21:47Okay it means that you're not free to go at the minute okay i'm detaining you what i'm going to
21:51do is i'm going to get a female officer to come down and stop search you okay and your vehicle
21:57For any illegal drugs that you've got on you
22:00We've got a female stop to mark on a vehicle
22:02Channel Mangani female officers on duty at the moment um they're trying to race somebody from
22:06Gloucester i don't suppose tukesbury's um got a female officer they could shoot down the uh
22:12We've stopped the female that's uh with this vehicle we've got intel that um
22:15It's used in connection with drug supply in the local area
22:18We'll get a female officer to come and search her just because that's more appropriate and we're going to get the uh
22:25Drugs dog to come down as well just to give the car a once over see if there's anything that we've got on it
22:31Um because it's three o'clock in the morning it's a bit odd
22:36I'm going to breathalyzer as well and we'll go from there
22:40As they wait for a female officer dog handler pc cole is on his way they've requested that i attend
22:49uh and use uh my second dog marshall who is a specialist search dog trained to search cash
22:58firearms uh and drugs he'll be able to search the car far quicker and more efficiently than
23:04than the officers you can turn a car inside out and not find anything and a dog can get in there
23:09literally instantly and say whether or not they believe there is something in there
23:12Keep going keep going keep going keep going stop
23:19Okay so that's blown zero yep
23:23Having tested negative for alcohol the officers continue with searching the suspect for drugs
23:30do you have anything on you that shouldn't have on you that's illegal substances nope
23:33okay is there anything we're going to find in your car nope because we have got a drugs dog coming on
23:38yeah no no yeah it's fine anything sharp anything that's going to cause an injury to the dog if we
23:43put the dog in no definitely not okay i just need to search you yeah where yeah oh right okay yeah
23:49as the female officer searches the driver pc cole is getting drug detection dog marshall ready to search the car
24:02they want me to put the little guy through it and see if he um if he can find anything so we'll give
24:08him a little shot see what he does
24:09if he finds something he'll either freeze on it stick his nose on it and freeze on it or
24:22he'll keep indicating or just you know trying to get to it which is um one of his little telltale
24:26signs so we'll see
24:31the officers are leaving no stone unturned the only other thing i want to do is just see if she's got
24:37rid of everything she's here and walking this way
24:45i didn't think there's anything while they search the surrounding area marshall's job is done
24:52nothing no
24:58marsh can you go good lad good boy why then there was nothing there that was him really saying yeah
25:06there's something in there and they've got a much better sense of smell than us and they'll be
25:09able to tell us whether or not you know he's trained to find all those things and if he thinks
25:13it's in there he'll tell me and he told me nothing so one of those things on to the next one
25:19with no drugs found on her person on the street or in her car she's free to leave
25:24okay lovely can i go yeah you can
25:31right onwards
25:43it's a busy night for the roads policing units across gloucestershire
25:46we've got a vehicle failing to stop pc web known as bear and pc shore are in pursuit of a speeding car
25:54road conditions are dry traffic is light it's a decam decam
25:58the car's been abandoned on the side of the road and there's no sign of the driver
26:16if we want to get out and have a look really but because the door is still open
26:20our highest chance of capturing him is with a dog so if we get out we will disturb descent we'll wait for
26:28the dog to arrive just see if we can pick up where he's gone he's going to be in and around the area
26:32somewhere the longer they wait for the dog the further away the suspect can get
26:39tango 53 um eat out the dog please it's a bit of a judgment call really how long do you leave it
26:46our dog handler's not normally far away from chowndham so we'll uh well hopefully he'll arrive
26:53shortly but if we move away from the car if he's got the key to the car he'll get back in and drive off
26:58what we don't want is any foot traffic yeah that's right about the other side
27:03would someone mind just coming parking up the other side of the vehicle so we got a bit of
27:07sterile area for the dog on tennyson road okay all right we'll just spin around excuse me excuse me
27:15stop stop stop would you mind just going on the other side of the pavement please thank you
27:20oscar tango 53 is the um ro the vehicle on unify if so can you send us a picture they need to find
27:29out who might have been driving the car it's potentially stolen it's a high performance car
27:34it's most likely a drink driver or a drug driver i would say if you've had one of those stolen you
27:38would know about it and report it quite quickly there are no reports of the car being stolen and
27:47they still don't have a name or picture of the suspect but pc wong and his dog senna have arrived on
27:54the scene to assist that's perfect for a minute no one's been near it no then you let that dog go
28:01from that door to that bush what was the time period of you coming down here uh probably 10 seconds
28:10um well not even that yeah no not even that no with the scent undisturbed the dog should be able to
28:21guide pc shore in the direction the suspect ran off obviously the main main asset here is the dog but
28:29just trying to listen whether you can hear anyone kind of jumping over fences at the back or any
28:33kind of bushes rustling or anything like that but it seems pretty pretty cute
28:40we ideally want to get him as quickly as we can really
28:46the dog's obviously managed to track down to here but now we're going into quite a hot area of kind
28:50of high foot traffic so we might have to knock it on the head to be honest we might be uh struggling a
28:55bit now the dog may have lost the scent but there's news about the driver from inquiries we've been able to
29:03do the driver who we believe to be the driver is a disqualified driver therefore any insurance which he has
29:09will be void so we're seizing the vehicle and i'll deal with the driving offenses it's not something
29:15which we're just going to brush under the carpet but there are other ways we can deal with matters
29:18such as these it just takes a little bit more of a process driven approach well there's a wallet in
29:24there but didn't put him in their driver's seat is it it's a problem oh he's been on the red bull
29:29and the vapes it's a mess anyway it's not game over yet uh they might have him yeah i think he's
29:40going to his grandmother's address just waiting to hear the update another unit has found the suspect
29:46at a nearby address
29:51it's good news we're just on our way there now it's not a million miles away from where the vehicle
29:57was dumped but it didn't necessary we do drinking drugs he could say all he wants about how he
30:02wasn't a driver we're speaking to the owner of the vehicle it's not reported stolen so the only
30:09logical explanation is it's with the person who we're going to go and see now i'm happy to put the
30:15legwork in because i can't stand drinking drug drivers no it wasn't a million miles away
30:20he's got a ring cam as well i've got a ring cam
30:29if you can do inquiries into that for me whilst i deal with the other matters
30:33i'm pc shore and my colleagues just gonna have a chat with you all right perfect have you had
30:40anything to drink tonight alcohol wise yeah half a can of fostered about an hour ago right okay you
30:44take any drugs or anything recreational drugs all right that ring doorbell does it work okay um
30:52we might have to have a look at that
30:53the ring doorbell may have caught the suspect running into the house moments earlier
31:02hello there you i'm indeed yeah all right can i come in no all right he was denying it from the
31:06outset he said to my colleagues i've just come in i've just i've been out um i don't know where my car
31:12is i don't don't know what you're here for you'll never prove it um or they're quite common things which
31:17we get and he was quite of himself that i've got away with this and i also noticed that his pupils
31:24um were quite dilated the suspect allows bear into the property to take a drug swipe
31:31what i need you to do is put your tongue out and a little bit of saliva his general demeanor is just
31:36arrogant he's just i can do what i want when i want however i want and it'd be down to you to prove
31:43and to some extent he's right while bear deals with the suspect pc shore makes further inquiries
31:51so i'm just doing a bit of um cctv a cctv trawl see if we can identify any properties that might be
31:59able to help us with some um some video of him potentially running back into his house uh but he's
32:04quite late at night but that house there with the light on i'm not gonna have a little knock on that one
32:08um that that helped us build our case that that he was the driver after several minutes the results
32:16are in there's proof positive for cocaine okay so at this moment in time you're under arrest
32:26okay on suspicion of section 5a drug driving you do not have to say anything you'd better
32:30make any offense if you do not mention one question something which you later around in court
32:34anything you do say may be given evidence the necessity for your arrest is you need to come
32:39with me now to the police station where we will get a blood sample from you which will be sent off
32:49just put your hands behind your hat for me
32:52i want to do it as comfortable as possible
32:55i don't really bend like that right which remember it's a bone isn't it you can't just bend here
33:01but put your hands behind your back as far as you can do it you might be like that
33:06okay lean forward and you've got a second pair of cuffs jesus christ
33:14i have it's not my phone isn't it it's not my fault you're not flexible is it no it's not my
33:19fault that a bone's a bone it doesn't bend but come on ironically when you're putting handcuffs on
33:25to fairly compliant people they're almost harder to put on because you don't want to hurt them
33:28have i done this before it doesn't look like it looks like your first day yeah
33:3519 years now is enough it is insulting but you've got to have thick skin doing this job
33:40um i've got a very thick skin mind your head
33:51he's been as difficult as he can really of course he is he's got a lot to lose so yeah
33:58how long we're in channel for less than two minutes less than two minutes
34:18so you've dragged me into it it's all right i thought you needed the experience
34:23yeah because it's clearly my first time hanging somebody in 19 years
34:38never works this shift where it's not crazy on a full moon
34:42pc foxhall and special constable webber are nearing the end of their night shift
34:46the streets are deserted aside from a black car just to check really you see a car pop out this
35:00estate which is is more of a business estate and at that time when i thought it was a little bit odd
35:05the businesses are closed it's not like to be security because the security cars
35:08in that area have have signage on on the vehicles let's just watch that driving a little bit just see
35:13i mean the driving you know very very on the speed limit in fact 10 under not a bad thing
35:25so it should one person and that's the female yeah
35:30it did say it's fast on there as well we're just insured uh literally that one person okay
35:36the car may be insured but things are just not adding up for pc foxhole
35:41they are quite cautious a bit overly cautious in some place where they're over breaking or
35:46breaking too soon breaking too late so i've kind of got a feeling but i kind of haven't i'm like 50 50.
35:56just seem really cautious don't they yeah yeah that is it they're very cautious
36:03it's just a bit of an odd time at night to be driving around you know some criminals do move
36:07around at night time they do all sorts of things at night time i think we'll probably try and put a
36:13stop when we get to bishop's cleave just because this road's a little bit quick
36:15here's a good enough spot
36:30that's not a good sign
36:31is it fair to stop pop the blue lights on and then they just carry on and instantly i'm thinking
36:48you know is this person drunk are they have they just not seen me or are they just unaware of where
36:55they are what they're doing is it some sort of medical episode are they elderly what why is it what's
36:59what's going on with this person why aren't they stopping for me get ready for a decant mate
37:05guessing the road the driver is heading for pc foxhole takes a shortcut
37:09no he's going
37:17could be a drink driver could be a drug driver could be up to snow good just seem really cautious
37:32don't they in tukesbury pc foxhole and special constable weber are attempting to pull over a
37:38person driving suspiciously is it fair to start even though pc foxhole has put his lights on
37:46the vehicle isn't stopping
37:53that he's going
37:55down hotel 3-1
38:00we've got to try to pull a vehicle over it's failing to start there any traffic in the area
38:08you can't have to be if it's failure to stop it you've got your lights on you can pull over
38:13yeah
38:19neither officer is trained in speed and pursuit so i have no choice but to let the offender go
38:25unfortunately policy is we can't pursue him because if we pursue him we don't want to put him us or any
38:30members of public in danger we're not trained for that for the vehicle details for fiesta in black yes
38:37yes ford fiesta in black we just have to start we can't move it's fine they actively avoided this
38:42it was a male in the driving seat wearing dark jacket with a bubble type hat other units are in the
38:49area and they can give chase about 10 minutes away we will head that way
38:56we will have a drive down here
39:01pc foxhole and special constable weber check the surrounding streets for the vehicle that might
39:06have been abandoned it didn't look like he noticed us at first but it's obvious he was clearly
39:13intent on avoiding us so he's up to no good
39:20i know there's a play park around here that people have dumped cars before
39:23i hate things getting away i hate it
39:42don't tell three what have we got any intel for this vehicle at all please
39:45or for the ro the vehicle just have a look now
39:52i'm gonna try um
39:54road i'm being told it could be a parent's address about the dress
40:01stick it in mate
40:03checks on the registered owner of the vehicle have thrown up an address nearby
40:07that would make sense yeah oh yes we've got power entry because he's failed to stop
40:15seeing as i've got vehicles turned up this road which is where the owner's got a link to it wasn't
40:19the owner driving we're going to knock on that and see what we can find out and see if the car's there
40:27as they approach the property another unit has an update who is that
40:35hi it's on the driveway fantastic it's sweet we'll give it a go we've got the idea driver thank you
40:42banging where is it
40:43where right in front yeah
40:56yeah that's it
41:02please come to the door we'll force entry
41:04oh yeah you okay is it all right if i come in to speak to the male who's just been driving the
41:14car that's on the driveway the body language of the female just it set alarm bells off she knew
41:21something go come and have a look then when i'm talking to this female i could hear a male voice
41:25shouting from upstairs so instantly you know the male is in the address the vehicle's on the driveway so
41:33i've got grounds then to enter the property without a warrant in that case though i'm going to force
41:37entry we've got power of entry police obviously i know who it is you just woke me up what's your
41:49name buddy your business four centuries the address went upstairs to the male and promptly arrested him
41:54from his bed and he wasn't overly compliant at first he was quite mouthy i'm resting on suspicion
42:00have failed to stop and also for the rest of you for driving whilst under suspicion being unfit
42:04through drink or drugs hands behind your back all right down the stairs then right this way
42:10hotel 31 can we get a van to us please
42:15stop it stop it now do not start making threats right the grounds for your arrest is because the
42:21vehicle that's on your driveway at the moment i tried to stop that vehicle a moment ago on this
42:25road failed to stop did you just come in in that car so was it you that failed to stop then okay so
42:31should we arrest her for a system of fender and found to stop as well then because i saw a male in
42:35the driving seat which looked exactly like you yeah yeah we've also got dash cams in the front of our
42:40car the man is refusing to confirm his identity i'm just going to try and id them out now via a
42:51fingerprint scanner and get his correct details and go from there grab your left index finger okay
43:00and your right index finger
43:01the fingerprints provide a name for the suspect he didn't have insurance he didn't have a driving
43:26license which is probably why he failed to stop in the first place being the bearer of bad news here
43:31mate um i'm further arresting you for driving without a license um and driving without insurance
43:38all right so i'll remind you under caution you don't have to say anything but my own defense
43:41if you don't mention a question something which my outline caught anything you do say maybe given
43:45evidence okay
43:50what an idiot so we're parallel with him and like he like looks like a window and puts his hand up like
43:54that i could clearly see it was him then to have the cheat to say it was a woman driving oh no no it
44:00wasn't buddy it was you
44:16it's good to get him in i don't like people getting away from me
44:24so
44:30so
