00:00That means you're out.
00:01Ethan, as a wedding designer, you're going to have an opportunity to swap.
00:05I am going to swap Jesus with Madeline.
00:10I'm happy Ethan let go Jesus because I don't need drama.
00:16Each house must create an activewear capsule collection.
00:19I'm going to tear it up.
00:21But what if your team doesn't?
00:23Ethan, I think you knew that you had a great look and you didn't give a **** about the other people on the team.
00:28Jesus, you were our favorite, look, congratulations.
00:31You shut me up.
00:34But I do have to tell you, Antonio, yours was our least favorite in the winning team.
00:38The socks.
00:40Angelo, you really need to bring in a sense of drama to step it up.
00:45I think it kind of looks like a tampon.
00:47I mean, this is unwearable.
00:48I love a corset at the sauna.
00:51Guys, the story has to match.
00:53You cannot piss on me and tell me it's raining.
00:56You cannot piss on me and tell me it's raining.
00:57And the state for the winner is $200,000.
01:01A spread in Elle magazine and a life-changing mentorship with the CFDA.
01:06This is Project OneWay.
01:14Angelo, Alex, and Vijay, you're all disappointed this week.
01:19I know that my work is better than the bottom of them.
01:24So do you need to go home first before me?
01:27Vijay?
01:30You're safe.
01:31You can leave the runway.
01:32Oh, my God.
01:33Thank you for this energy.
01:34Alex, your construction left a lot to be desired, and you missed the mark.
01:47I adore Angelo, but I have a lot more to offer.
01:51I don't want to go home.
01:52Angelo, in this competition, you have to remember that showmanship is just as important as craftsmanship.
02:03All I'm thinking is I need this for my daughter.
02:06I cannot go home this early.
02:07Alex, Angelo, one of you will be in, and one of you will be out.
02:18Angelo, you're in.
02:22You can leave the runway.
02:29Thank you, guys.
02:31I'm sorry, Alex, that means you're out.
02:35A few days in.
02:35It was lovely to meet all of you.
02:38Good luck.
02:40Well, it's not fun to be the second person going home.
02:44That's for sure.
02:47No, I deserve it.
02:48I really do.
02:49It's not.
02:50It's not a good example of my work.
02:53Is it going to be like this each week?
02:55F*** this shit.
02:57F*** off.
02:59You know, I don't disagree with the feedback that the judges had.
03:02This is a incredible, fun experience that I've been able to have.
03:11What's next is we're going to go home.
03:14We're going to have a sauna.
03:16And life will continue on.
03:23You guys ready to get pushed a little harder?
03:25Yeah.
03:26We're ready.
03:26I think until now, there really hasn't been any clear leaders in either challenge.
03:33I think we're going to blow it up.
03:35Uh-oh.
03:35So, Ethan and Jesus, for winning the first two challenges, each of you are going to become
03:43the leaders of your own house.
03:47Versus.
03:50Oh, my God.
03:52Another team challenge.
03:54I don't want to be on either team.
03:56I just can't wait to work by myself without thinking about other people.
04:02Uh.
04:03You'll be picking your team shortly.
04:05And choose wisely.
04:07I'm so excited.
04:09Oh, look.
04:10See you.
04:12That's it.
04:13It's hot.
04:16I always wanted to start my own house.
04:18This is insane.
04:20Such a twist.
04:21Honestly, I feel like it's going to be a tough competition because I know how talented Ethan
04:26is.
04:26Oh, the shame.
04:28It's going to be a battle.
04:36What is that?
04:38It's a great challenge.
04:41It's time to pay C.
04:43So, thanks, Patsuki.
04:44Spicy.
04:44Spicy.
04:45I think of almonds.
04:51Hello, designers.
04:53I'm sure you guys are wondering, what are these bags?
04:56Yes.
04:57Each of these bags are fabric sets, I would say, are considered boring.
05:04So, PNC Bank believes whether it's managing your money responsibly or sewing the same stitch
05:10for hours, actions that seem boring are essential to create brilliant results.
05:15So, in these bags are basic fabrics and textiles.
05:19Seen on a bolt or a design table, they might be considered...
05:22But, when slowly and thoughtfully designed and fabricated, something boring transforms
05:30into something beautiful.
05:31So, the two houses will select from three mystery bags of boring to inspire brilliant looks
05:37on the wrong way.
05:38Ethan and Jesus, you have the power to choose your houses.
05:41My strategy is to pick designers that are great dealers.
05:45Definitely want my twin brother and my team because they know how good we work together,
05:49but I'm thinking Ethan, strategy-wise, might take him away from me.
05:53Jesus and Antonio love to be heard.
05:58I'm going to try to keep all of the firecracker energy out of my group.
06:03We're going to flip a button to decide who picks first.
06:05My first pick is going to be Antonio.
06:23Of course!
06:24Hello!
06:26Ethan, you're next.
06:27Joseph McRae.
06:28I am shocked.
06:43Jesus picked me because we don't really get along.
06:46Oh my God, Lord.
06:50Angelo.
06:55I've always been picked last.
06:57Elania.
06:59But it's fueling me to show I'm actually the special sauce.
07:04I got all the skills, you just don't know it yet.
07:06Because Ethan gets a pig first.
07:09It's his only thing.
07:10Jesus takes first the bag of boring.
07:13I was born with a pack of two, so I'm going to pick two.
07:17Okay, let's see.
07:19Oh.
07:19This is your fabric.
07:24Fine.
07:25What do you think?
07:26I like it.
07:28It's a great wall.
07:29We can make this fabric look really expensive.
07:32They can have it all day, every day.
07:35That's ugly.
07:36There's barely any stretch on it.
07:39Keep it.
07:39We don't want it on this side.
07:40All right, Ethan.
07:42I'm going to choose number one.
07:43Okay.
07:44Let's see.
07:45Please be better.
07:45Please be better.
07:46Please be better.
07:48Looks like...
07:48Denim.
07:49Denim.
07:49Denim.
07:52Denim is so versatile.
07:54It is classic.
07:55It could be modern.
07:57We got the best material.
07:58So now that you have the foundations for this challenge, each house must create a capsule
08:03collection that shows that boring can be brilliant.
08:06This is about exploring volume, textures, making a bit of innovation, but anything here
08:11can be fresh, including a basic bag of boring.
08:15Hmm.
08:16And I have a special twist.
08:18My very dear friend, Sofia Vergara, will wear the winning look.
08:21Woo!
08:21Woo!
08:22Woo!
08:25Wait, guys.
08:26I'm going to come up with something fabulous or she will never talk to me ever again.
08:30Oh, I can't wait.
08:31I want to win this challenge.
08:32I'm so ready.
08:34Last week, Heidi said that Mila wasn't her favorite.
08:37I kind of want to redeem myself.
08:39We have Sofia Vergara, the princess of Colombia.
08:43This is a strata draw.
08:44This is what we love to dress.
08:45Let's do this.
08:46You guys will have until the end of tonight and three hours tomorrow to make these collections.
08:52Oh, my God.
08:53Another one-day challenge.
08:54Ah, this is Project Runway, and it will never be easy.
08:58Good luck making boring.
09:00Brilliant.
09:01See you on the runway.
09:02Here we go.
09:08So, I really wanted to have a name for the house.
09:11Oh, God.
09:12Catalina.
09:13Catalina is a very beautiful flower from Colombia.
09:16It comes from the family of the orchid.
09:18And considering Sofia Vergara is our guest judge, I was thinking playing with the structure
09:25of the cream, volume, and beautiful silhouettes, right?
09:30Do you know what a Catalina flower is?
09:32No, not really.
09:34But I can't get it smart if I don't know how it looks like.
09:36So, yeah.
09:38Like this.
09:39And there's the orchid.
09:40See you on this.
09:41It has this beautiful structure like this.
09:44I'm not like a girly-girly designer.
09:47I'm more like modern and edgy and sexy.
09:50So, okay.
09:51How can I modernize it?
09:53What is a Catalina aspect of your outfit?
09:58I don't know.
09:59I'm just asking because this is the inspiration, right?
10:01So, we have to defend.
10:02Well, it's good to say that.
10:04Girl, I'm honestly getting a little annoyed because EJ is fighting me on the inspiration.
10:11Let's not forget that I'm the team leader.
10:14So, just do what I say.
10:17Jesus has a very strong personality.
10:19And so do I.
10:20So, I'm afraid that we will clash.
10:23How's it, Jesus?
10:29Are we all doing flowers?
10:31I don't be sure.
10:32Yeah.
10:32Yeah.
10:33Because of structure?
10:34Yeah.
10:34BJ, I'm not sure yet.
10:38BJ, I don't want yours to look like completely.
10:41It doesn't belong in the collection.
10:43BJ is very quiet and doesn't really share what she's designing.
10:46You know, she's like a silent killer.
10:48Like, all of a sudden, you're like, whoa, where'd that look come from?
10:50At the end of the day, one look can ruin your way.
10:54I kind of want to know what you're doing.
10:56So, then that way we can, like, maybe you have a cool technique.
10:59Yeah.
10:59That we could use.
11:00You know what I mean?
11:01Okay.
11:02And share that with us.
11:03Yeah.
11:04Yes, we're going to help each other.
11:05But no, I'm not going to share everything that I have in my mind.
11:09You have to be creative on your own.
11:12Welcome to Team Ethan.
11:14We have the house of Ethan.
11:17Or, like I like to call it, house.
11:20Our overarching theme is showstoppers.
11:27Huh?
11:29Okay.
11:31I think that we should prioritize using fringe.
11:36Fringe.
11:40Do you want to take a couple minutes and mix the straw?
11:44It hurts, Warren.
11:45I love the special team.
11:48And luckily, they're erasable.
11:51A lifesaver, isn't it?
11:53Okay.
11:54Ethan, so this is, like, the fringe idea concept.
11:57And then this is the rock one.
11:58Yep.
11:59You have two really good ideas.
12:01We're going to dive into fringe ideas.
12:02Okay.
12:03Yes.
12:03With the cool hat.
12:04Okay.
12:06You know, Ethan is the head of the house.
12:08So he kind of selects which design that he thinks each designer should do.
12:13We're going to do the flow with the swoopy swoopy.
12:15So I'm making a frayed denim gown with frayed accents and a frayed spiral headpiece.
12:25You have to do this hat?
12:26Yeah.
12:26It could be really beautiful.
12:28That's not my favorite look of the ones I sketch, but I'm trying to be a team player.
12:33So what are you doing?
12:52I wanted to do a powerful coat.
12:54This kind of, like, the idea of the Catalina flower and moving it into the waves.
12:59Yeah.
12:59I mean, this coat, if this is it, it has to be.
13:02Yes.
13:03Her fit.
13:06So everybody was doing kind of a dress bodice type of thing.
13:09I said, let me step out and do pants that are tailored.
13:13This is so dynamic.
13:15Oh my God.
13:15I know.
13:16I'm screaming.
13:17We're on the break.
13:18I've never seen a pant more interesting in my entire career.
13:24I know how to rework a boring uniform into something cool.
13:28Since I have dyslexia, this is how my process works.
13:31Dyslexia switches the letters around.
13:33So I had to learn early to see disorganization or see confusion and make it make sense.
13:39So, question two, baby.
13:42I got this.
13:43So, I'm the collection.
13:46I'm going to go at the end.
13:47This is the finale moment.
13:48The finale moment.
13:48I've designed a beautiful mermaid gown incorporating the Catalina flower.
13:52I want to be in touch.
13:53I want Law to tell me what he told my brother.
13:56You shut me up.
13:57Baby up.
13:58You've got to make sure that this silhouette is just really interesting.
14:03Noted.
14:04BJ, you're making a pencil dress again.
14:07What happens on our hips?
14:08They open?
14:09Yes.
14:10Oh, yeah.
14:10Yeah.
14:11So, this is skin?
14:12Yes.
14:13Wow.
14:14Okay.
14:14I saw this fabric and I was thinking like, oh, men's sleeve and then an open back here.
14:20Mm-hmm.
14:21It's very chic and a classic.
14:23Yeah.
14:24But I don't think it's that exciting.
14:26I'm going to do this most sick, high-waisted pant.
14:33It's going to have a win now.
14:35How is this standing up?
14:36I am a master of boning.
14:39Yes.
14:41Boning is understructure that helps garments have shape to make them larger than life.
14:47If you can master boning, you can make any garment sensitive to your win.
14:53It's my first time to use boning as bonest.
14:56First time to use boning ever?
14:56Yep.
14:57Yep.
14:58Okay.
14:59Because it's my design, I was trying to make this storm dress.
15:02So, if it doesn't work.
15:04And one more is going down.
15:05I'm just saying.
15:07What are you making?
15:08I got the pencil strip that's going to go underneath and I'm playing with this shape.
15:13Is this your guy?
15:14Switching it up.
15:15I don't want you to take on something that you really don't do.
15:18It isn't your aesthetic.
15:20Yep.
15:20I kind of agree with him, but at the same time, I want it to stick to my ground and not create another pant.
15:26I feel like if I execute that, it's enough to make it to the next week.
15:30Okay, Jill.
15:31Oh, what is all that?
15:33Fringe?
15:35Oh, God.
15:36I just think that's just not that interesting.
15:41It's been done literally 100,000,000 times.
15:45From Britney to Steven Tyler to every project runway designer that's ever been in this competition has done a frayed edge denim dress.
15:53Oh, no.
15:55Doesn't feel good, Mr. Christian.
15:58What are we supposed to do?
15:59Like, take all of it off and put nothing on the runway?
16:01Like, I don't have time or the bandwidth to pivot.
16:05So, you've got to make it the best fringe-seamed-edge thing you've ever seen.
16:10You have a lot to do.
16:12Good luck.
16:13Don't shut, don't shut.
16:15All right.
16:16Battle of the houses.
16:17It's truly a battle.
16:18I still think a lot needs to happen before these collections become brilliant.
16:24Don't forget that all the boring things are right, like the hems and the zippers.
16:28All the details need to be perfect.
16:30The judges are going to be watching.
16:32Okay, get to work.
16:34Bye, everybody.
16:35Bye.
16:37Still standing by the fringe.
16:41So, we have a battle.
16:43It's got to be interesting.
16:45Right.
16:47That did not go well at all.
16:50I am worried about the direction that we're going as a team.
16:54Showstoppers is not a thing.
16:57It's a vision, you know.
16:59And I just think this whole fringe thing was a last-ditch effort to try to make it make sense.
17:06I am really concerned about this challenge.
17:09Rumi, what do you think of this edge on here?
17:20Utica was saying we add a fringe.
17:23Trust your instinct, Rumi.
17:25I'm trying to be a team player.
17:27Okay.
17:28I'm really surprised about Ethan's choices.
17:32I think his goal is not to win the group challenge.
17:34I think his goal is to be the strongest.
17:37He loved my piece, so I'm in a good spot.
17:39But I want to make sure that y'all are in a good spot.
17:42Jesus, do you already know what the other team is working on?
17:45I see a lot of volume and a lot of, like, you know.
17:49I am extremely worried for the house of Ethan.
17:53They are all over the place.
17:54I really don't understand what Ethan is creating.
17:58Miss Jones is really confused.
18:00You should do this dress that I know it's going to be impossible for him to finish it on a one-day challenge.
18:09Melania?
18:09Yeah?
18:10This is a concept that I had in mind for us to all incorporate the rough-up, like, look at the color.
18:15The more circle.
18:16The more circle.
18:17Yeah, that's the cascades.
18:18Yeah, I see.
18:20At first, I wasn't sure how I was going to interpret the Catalina flower, but now I see it.
18:25I'm liking what everyone is working on, and we're really making boring brilliant.
18:31We came to Clarice Day.
18:33Hello.
18:34You want the model? You ready?
18:35What? I don't even have a dress to fit on her.
18:38Hello.
18:38Yeah.
18:40Good to work with you.
18:41Oh, me too.
18:42How are you?
18:43Oh, sorry.
18:44I have nothing to fit on you right now.
18:47Wait, you have nothing to try on?
18:48Oh, no.
18:49What are you going to do?
18:51What if you cut this like you're going to, safety pin it down flat, and put it on her?
18:57Yeah.
18:57Right now.
18:58Okay.
18:59The clothes need a lot of flaking and a hand stitch, but Christian is saying I have to put it on the model anyway.
19:06Getting the structure to do this, it's going to be a little bit tough.
19:11It's not working.
19:12I feel very frustrated.
19:14It's going to take a lot of finesse.
19:17The nightmare is happening.
19:18I have to completely start over.
19:21What?
19:22What?
19:22We'll whip out something easy and something that's in your wheelhouse that isn't so elaborate.
19:27I've already done that.
19:29I've already done that.
19:30If you'll either you listen to me and I make it easier for you, or you continue to struggle with your piece, pick away.
19:37This is it?
19:38It's just a pencil skirt?
19:39No, no, no, no.
19:40This is the bottom.
19:41It's four layers.
19:42You didn't make that in denim yet?
19:44I can't make it in denim because it's going to be too heavy.
19:46The outer layer is going to be done.
19:47What if you don't have time?
19:49Oh, Lord, Ethan.
19:51I'm worried.
19:52Yes, my team is struggle-bussing.
19:56You guys, really?
19:58We don't have a lot of clothes to fit.
20:01So really, this is going to be it?
20:04Multiple people are just not going to fit things?
20:06Ethan, your team has no clothes.
20:08You shouldn't even get his off the mannequin.
20:10He has no bottom at all.
20:13And that's a pencil skirt.
20:14And if that's happening, then good luck.
20:16You might as well just say goodbye.
20:19I really believe that the other group should feel worried because Christian is actually panicking.
20:25It's crazy.
20:26We'll see you on the runway.
20:32The show supper aspect is my whole MO.
20:34And I am realizing, in the thick of it, that it's a real challenge for the team.
20:40Maybe this was a bad decision.
20:45I've just come up with something new, something fresh that you know that you can whip out.
20:49That is that wow factor.
20:52AJ, he's starting my game.
20:54He's starting my game.
20:54I have six hours left.
20:57I have to make some sales.
20:58I don't want to drop the team down because Ethan picked me first to make it work.
21:04Show me what you're going on.
21:06Show me, show me.
21:09Well, guys, it's runway.
21:12Hey, hey, hey.
21:13Good morning, guys.
21:15Hey, look, it's runway.
21:19Oh, my God.
21:22He's a designer.
21:22My team is struggling.
21:31And it's like, you get all the light, uplift, and truly that showstopper energy.
21:36So if there's anything that's going to get my team on track to be a showstopper, it's her.
21:41I have to finish my top and my skirt and some hail of the cake.
21:55I'm so determined to finish my look.
21:57If I don't make this happen, I'll go home.
22:02Hello.
22:02Christian, meet Yurika.
22:04I see her.
22:06I wish that look was going on the runway other than some of these other ones.
22:09No tea, no shade, no pink lemonade.
22:13All right, houses, it's the final stretch.
22:15Don't forget to send your models to the Ulta Beauty Salon.
22:18Hola, hola.
22:20Bring out her natural features.
22:21I love the makeup.
22:22It's really chic.
22:23I hate everything.
22:24I'm so excited.
22:25You deliver.
22:26You're so excited.
22:28I'm just going to have to open up my new starts.
22:30Let's do it tight.
22:32It looks snatched.
22:33Trust me.
22:34Being pretty glad, I was just like, my team is overly scrutinizing my look.
22:38But fit is important.
22:40And even though I'm not as confident as the other designers, I'm feeling good about tailoring
22:45stuff because I'm a tailor type of girl.
22:47I just need to clean everything up.
22:49I'm telling you, this is perfect.
22:51Do not change the zipper.
22:52Okay.
22:54What is this?
22:55I'm making a very sexy top on a very sexy skirt inside.
23:00Don't forget.
23:01That's a whole new look.
23:02We're leaving this room in less than 10 minutes.
23:05So good.
23:06Oh, my God.
23:08It's so weird.
23:10No, I'm a little worried.
23:12Their collection is very good and very strong and very done.
23:16I'm definitely stressing.
23:17The law is going to cut you.
23:20Oh, Lord.
23:22Hello.
23:25Hello.
23:29How are you?
23:30How's this?
23:30And welcome to the runway.
23:32As you know in fashion, one day you're in.
23:34And the next day, you're out.
23:37Each house was asked to create a capsule collection.
23:40Transforming something boring into something brilliant.
23:43Oh, my God.
23:44I hope it is brilliant.
23:45We can't wait to see what you've made for the runway.
23:48All right.
23:49First, let's meet our judges.
23:50CFDA, award-winning stylist.
23:53And image architect, La Roche.
23:57Guest judge, co-founder of the fashion line, Favorite Daughter, Sarah Foster.
24:05An actress, model, and icon, Sophia Madara.
24:09You guys look wonderful.
24:20Not only is she my dear friend, but she will be wearing the winning look.
24:23Let's turn out for me again.
24:25This is so exciting.
24:26Thank you very much for being our guest.
24:28And I'm hoping that this is good.
24:30All right.
24:30Let's start the show.
24:35I got that one.
24:37This is the outfit I want my brand to be in the world of.
24:44I am kind of loving the material, though, even though it's bloody.
24:48It looks like something that's from a different era, but it also looks like a little bit futuristic in a way.
25:03This is hot.
25:04If you have the legs for it, this is amazing.
25:06Do you have them?
25:07No, I don't.
25:07You do.
25:08No, you do.
25:08I am so ecstatic.
25:11Those cutouts are on fire.
25:13It's a dangerous dress.
25:15She's sexy, but very mysterious.
25:19And I really love it.
25:20I took very basic wool to something extraordinary.
25:35Wow.
25:35I love it.
25:37To the people who always choose me, my skills are delicious and top tier.
25:42When I finish the garment, it fits the body like a glove.
25:47I mean, that looks so expensive.
25:48Get out.
25:48Get out.
25:48Get out.
25:52My look looks expensive.
25:54Well-tailored.
25:55Well-made.
25:56So good.
25:57I think it looks really cool on the runway with the dramatic color, the ruffle coming down.
26:03Sophia, it's smiling.
26:04What an honor to see Sophia Vergara.
26:07I can't stop looking at my design.
26:08I feel like I've done it again.
26:17See my full mermaid gown.
26:19I'm so proud of myself for really understanding the inspiration of the Catalina flower.
26:24And the structure of it made it so beautiful.
26:26And looking at Sophia Vergara's face, smiling, like saying, wow, it's spectacular.
26:34I can see where that was.
26:36Yeah, it's like all those.
26:39I'm so proud of my house.
26:41We made the collection that we were set up to design.
26:45Good luck, Ethan.
26:51This is a showstopper.
26:54It's grand.
26:54It has silhouette.
26:55It takes denim.
26:56Makes it fun.
26:57The window works.
27:01I set out to create a grand moment.
27:05And I did that.
27:06How do you get into the car?
27:08Well, you don't.
27:10I'll keep the vinyl drums.
27:12I do the unexpected.
27:14Wanted to be a team player.
27:16It has the frayed edges.
27:18Almost like a little key.
27:19That's just who I am as a designer.
27:21When I commit to something, I just go for it.
27:28I don't know what to think.
27:30There's a lot going on on this one.
27:38I'm really proud of my denim jacket.
27:40The overall look, the fit came out really good.
27:42Look at me.
27:44Look at me.
27:46Look at me.
27:47Look at me.
27:48Look at me.
27:49Look at me.
27:49Let me know what's the rest of my act is when I'm like, what?
27:52Oh, I love that.
27:53My idea of a showstopper is simplicity and volume.
27:56So I could see her taking it onto a red carpet to be like a cool but quirky, you know, but still like that it, girl.
28:03Oh, she just said it like a stroll down the street.
28:05But listen, come on now.
28:06It's a moment, baby.
28:08To do that with denim, that's not easy.
28:14Yeah, girl.
28:16When she opened that cape that the sexist saying, I've ever seen my life, this look represents their resilience.
28:23It really shows how I can make something totally new in six hours.
28:28I'm going to see a lot of me when you go to Coachella.
28:31As frantic as it was, our individuality was really shown.
28:41You did the job of showstoppers and the whole collection.
28:44I think that it's cool.
28:46But if the judges don't like it, I could be on the job and block.
28:56Okay, we scored your designs.
28:57And one house was truly brilliant.
29:01The winning look will come from the winning house.
29:03While the eliminated designer will come from the losing house.
29:07House of Jesus, you were our favorite house.
29:20Wow, congrats, guys.
29:22Wow, wow, wow.
29:23It feels very empowering to be a leader and to have my house win, to be in the top three first week, to one second week, and then now, third week again.
29:34Good job, Jesus.
29:35Okay, House of Utica.
29:37We're going to talk to you later.
29:38You can leave the runway.
29:40No, not the House of Ho being the bottom.
29:44Damn.
29:44How could you put something this sickening in the bottom?
29:50Tell me, judges.
29:51Tell me.
29:52Mom, what a day.
29:56I'm not surprised.
29:57We're in the bottom.
29:58I think we got carried away with Ethan's plan to create a showstopper piece.
30:03Definitely a little frustrated.
30:04Congratulations.
30:09I felt like you worked together.
30:10I was so impressed with the tailoring.
30:14So impressed.
30:15Spectacular.
30:16I mean, I definitely wear many of those designs that you guys prepared this time.
30:21We want to talk to the three designers with our three favorite looks.
30:28Jesus.
30:28Wow.
30:31Antonio.
30:31Antonio.
30:31So that means Madeline and BJ, you're safe.
30:42You can leave the runway.
30:43Thank you so much.
30:45All right.
30:48Let's bring up your models.
30:52Hi.
30:53Oh, my God.
30:55This material is nothing boring at all.
30:58Amazing.
30:59And I should have made that ailing up.
31:00The material makes it ailing up.
31:02Yeah, expensive.
31:02Yeah.
31:02This is by far the best looks of the season so far.
31:07I can really see each and every one of you being a winner in this challenge.
31:11Yeah.
31:11Yeah.
31:12All right.
31:13Jesus, we're going to start with you first.
31:15I really am impressed.
31:17I mean, wool can go very wrong.
31:19That can look sloppy.
31:20And it looks impeccable.
31:22Like, the way that you tailored this coat, that was risky.
31:27I mean, I usually can't wear things that have so much volume over here, but I think I could
31:33because it's open and low.
31:35It's amazing.
31:35It's spectacular.
31:36And I think this could look beautiful in any woman.
31:39Gracias.
31:39You did a really good job at taking a fabric that's considered as boring, but I think it's
31:46absolutely sophisticated.
31:48Thank you so much.
31:48And you shut me up twice.
31:50Wow.
31:51Two runways in a row.
31:52So congratulations.
31:54This is another one of our favorite looks came from Alania.
31:59Oof.
32:00This thing falling down her neck.
32:02I've never seen anything like it in my life.
32:05It's a lot, but it's not.
32:07I think it was perfect for this material.
32:10It was perfect for the color.
32:11It was perfect for me.
32:15It feels timeless.
32:16I can see a superstar or a model of every era wearing this suit.
32:22Truly, I see.
32:22Oh, it definitely was a day, Anis.
32:24Oh, you could see.
32:24Without a doubt.
32:25It's super sexy.
32:27She can show her shoulders.
32:28All the pretty parts of a woman is showing.
32:31Just, oh.
32:31It's the peplum.
32:32It's almost like this race.
32:34It was.
32:35And the peplum.
32:35There are no notes.
32:38This felt like something I had never saw before, and I've seen so many clothes.
32:43But this I will never forget.
32:46Ever.
32:47Please, you're going to make me cry right now.
32:49You should be really proud.
32:52So many long, long, long years, I was not seen, not recognized for my skills and abilities.
32:58So getting praise for it feels really good.
33:01It definitely confirms and reaffirms why I'm here, and I feel seen.
33:07That leaves us with Antonio.
33:10It's gorgeous.
33:12I can also see Sofia wear this.
33:15Yeah.
33:15It's elegant.
33:16It's spectacular.
33:17Absolutely gorgeous.
33:18Thank you so much.
33:19But that being said, I just want to point out a couple things that I think could have made it a little better.
33:24Had you trimmed the pedal that's coming down just a little bit, just to pull the snatch the waist in.
33:31All right, it's time to name the winner.
33:34The winning look truly wowed us by taking gray wool and bringing in structure, detail, and really a lot of elegance to bring brilliance out of boring.
33:45Oh, never boring.
33:48Well, Sofia, since you are going to be wearing the winning look, I'll give you the honor.
33:52I mean, I will wear all of them.
33:54But if I only had money for one, I would say Melania.
34:02Oh, thank you.
34:06Oh, my gosh.
34:08Congratulations, Melania.
34:11I'm shocked.
34:11Literally, I'm shocked.
34:13Oh, my God.
34:14Some people are going to wear your look.
34:16Oh, yes.
34:18Work their body.
34:21How's the cases?
34:22These are the ones that are incredible.
34:26Wow.
34:27I've won a challenge on Project Runway.
34:32Winning this challenge makes me feel like I'm getting closer to defining who I am as a designer.
34:45Finally, seeing a little bit of the vision in the light of what's been inside of me for so long.
34:51So, don't choose me last, y'all.
34:53Choose me first.
34:54And we can win together.
34:56All right, let's talk to House of Ethan.
34:59Or should I say House of Mewtika?
35:03Yeah, I'm not surprised.
35:05I kind of had a feeling, you know, Ethan's leadership for this challenge was an epic fail.
35:12The direction that we were going as a team was all wrong.
35:16And here we are.
35:22All right, House of Mewtika, tell us about your collection.
35:26I come from the world of drag.
35:30So, I brought this idea to the team of creating showstoppers to create a moment, to create big silhouettes.
35:38And I think we did a darn two good job getting our help.
35:43I understand that you wanted to have the wow.
35:45You know, we also want to be wowed.
35:47But I feel like you didn't keep in mind Sophia.
35:50Sophia will wear the winning look.
35:52So, it's kind of like, don't you have that in the back of your head?
35:55Most importantly, we would like to bring out the three looks that we liked the least.
36:00Joseph, Eugene, you're safe.
36:08You can leave the runway.
36:09I hear that.
36:11Which means, Joan, Angela, and Chutika.
36:17Unfortunately, you created our least favorite looks.
36:21All right, let's bring out your models.
36:27Okay, Angela, let's talk about your design.
36:30There's just so much to look at.
36:32It's so busy in all the wrong places.
36:36I like the jacket.
36:37Does the jacket come off?
36:39Yeah.
36:39The jacket with the corset and the pants would have been very wearable.
36:45Turn around, please.
36:47Everything looks so crooked.
36:49No.
36:50Angela, thank you.
36:52All right, Joan.
36:54It's a very confusing design.
36:57Those pieces of denim are not beautiful to look at.
37:00You don't even want to touch them.
37:02It looks shredded.
37:03It looks like something bad happened to it.
37:06I mean, no doubt she would get worse dressed than that.
37:09That doesn't look luxe.
37:11Well, you know, I'm an evening wear designer.
37:14And this was the assignment.
37:16This is the direction we were given as a team.
37:19You know, and I'm trying to be a team leader.
37:20Direction from who?
37:21Your leader?
37:22Yes.
37:23Yes.
37:24We submitted sketches.
37:26This is what was selected for me to design, so...
37:29And now you're in the bottle because you let somebody push you away from what your aesthetic
37:33is.
37:34There is a lot of pressure to create a vibe and guide a team to victory.
37:40It doesn't feel great, but my leadership could be the weakest link.
37:45I'm confused why you guys felt like you had to push as far as you did.
37:50We decided to create things that are quintessentially us, but we did not keep you in mind.
37:58Now, that's what I'm all about.
37:59These big, beautiful, like...
38:01Which I love, but I feel like there is a time and a place.
38:05When I saw your look walk out, I was just like, the cervix is dilated and she's crowning.
38:12That is exactly what it is.
38:14That's what it is.
38:15It's true.
38:16I have a bottle opener at home that looks just like it.
38:19For my beer.
38:20Well, let's see the back, please.
38:23No.
38:24That's bad, too?
38:25No.
38:25I think you let the drag persona take over this week, and I think you should have held
38:34her back, because this is too over the top.
38:36It doesn't make sense.
38:37It's not beautiful.
38:38It's not flattering.
38:39I am actually really disappointed in you.
38:42I'm in shock, actually.
38:43That's you.
38:46It's difficult being up here, being knocked down by the judges, and my team.
38:51This does not feel good.
38:52I am really pissed off about this collection.
38:56I did not come to work and get this beautiful glam to look at a bunch of ugly s*** clothes.
39:01I'm sorry.
39:02I am pissed off.
39:03I'm mad.
39:07Sorry.
39:08Okay.
39:09Utica.
39:10Joan.
39:12Angelo.
39:13We have to discuss what we've heard, and sadly, one of you will be out.
39:17You can leave the runway.
39:20Gee, that's s***ing terrible, and it really pissed me off.
39:24It's like a Project Runway denim costume party.
39:27Yes.
39:28You know, it doesn't feel good being on the bottom, because it wasn't me designing truly
39:35from who I am, and my design aesthetic, and now I'm being, you know, criticized for that.
39:40They thought it was the ugliest thing you've ever seen in their lives.
39:44But it's okay.
39:44What I don't like is that Ethan thought too much about himself.
39:49Yeah, exactly.
39:49Yeah.
39:50Because our eyes popped out of our heads when we saw Utica standing next to this look.
39:55I'm sorry.
39:55Ethan should have been here and not Utica tonight, babe.
39:58Right.
39:58I thought Angelo was the worst, to be quite honest.
40:00There was no real construction.
40:02He made a great jacket because he makes menswear.
40:05But the jacket was just okay.
40:08He plays safety, so he didn't make it as crazy, and that's why we were more drawn to say this
40:13one is better.
40:14But it wasn't better.
40:15It wasn't better.
40:16He's been here before.
40:17So we have to take that into account.
40:19I'm on the bottom again.
40:20It sucks because I didn't get a chance yet to really go full force and show my best ability.
40:28I'm not ready to go home.
40:30What about Joan?
40:31Joan, that dress.
40:33Less offensive.
40:34Less offensive out of the three.
40:36But no one would really wear that outfit.
40:38I am feeling very frustrated.
40:41My hands were tied.
40:42This is not what I wanted to do.
40:44I have so much more to show.
40:47I am not ready to go home.
40:48I'm just getting warmed up.
40:50For me, it boils down to, do we send home the person that took leadership in the band
40:58collection?
40:59And we can also look.
41:00Or send home the person that had the least amount of point of view and sewing talent?
41:08If we didn't know who did this and the designer was not standing next to the look, who would
41:13go?
41:14I think they can all go.
41:18Same.
41:18This will be the first for Project Runway, but maybe it's time we do it.
41:24Next time on Project Runway from Abbott Elementary.
41:27Chris Perfetti and Lisa Ann Walter.
41:30This is the Unconventional Materials Challenge.
41:34The party's working out.
41:35Tony, hey, hey, what are you doing?
41:37Okay, she's Barbie with the pink bitch done.
41:40I told you they're working together again.
41:42It's annoying.
41:43Oh my God.
41:44Popsicle dress?
41:45No.
41:46It's something.
41:47I mean, the whole body is out.
41:50It just looks so sad.
41:51It looks like dead vegetation.
41:54This is so f***ed up.
