00:00In the Bengals locker room with Dalton Reisner. Dalton, obviously, I would imagine a big part of

00:03why you came here was Joe Burrow being on the roster. Just what went through your mind when

00:08you found out the news that he's going to miss extended time? Oh, super upsetting. I mean,

00:11I'm pretty much a big reason why he did get injured. So I came here to protect a guy and

00:17I didn't protect him on a play. And, you know, I know that's football, but I definitely carry a

00:22lot more weight and beat myself up because, you know, it's my guy that made the sack on him. So

00:28tough deal for sure. Can you take me through that play when you went back and saw it from a

00:33football standpoint? Oh, you know, I like I just told you, I have a lot of respect for Joe Burrow

00:40and the player that he is. And the game of football is imperfect. And you lose a guy like that. And

00:47it's devastating, of course, because it's not only his leadership that, you know, I spoke on last

00:52week and I've only been here two weeks, but it's also the player that he is. But like I said, I

00:57try to find the right words, but, you know, it's my job to protect him. And I wasn't at my best on

01:05that play. So, you know, part of it I take fault on. Of course, I know I didn't actually injure the

01:09guy, but my job is to protect him. And I don't think I did a good enough job on that play to

01:13keep him safe and healthy. You guys obviously rallied, were able to get the win, get to 2-0.

01:18What does it say that you guys rallied around Jake and were able to get the win?

01:22Yeah, you know, I think that's the game of football, right? Like you got to find a way

01:25to win these football games. This is our livelihood. This is everyone in this building's

01:29livelihood. And you got to find a way regardless of the circumstance. And there was a lot of

01:33really good things to take away from the game yesterday. The way that we finished the game

01:37and driving the whole field and putting 31 points up, you know, the way our defense played

01:42at times. So I think there's a lot of things to take away that are really good. And we did

01:45rally and we did support Jake and he did come through and help win us the football game.

01:49But there's a lot of things that we can clean up and everything that happened with

01:52Joe is obviously a super tough deal. We kind of just got to rally behind him there.
