00:00On a personal level, they've never been in government before,
00:02so they haven't got a track record to defend.
00:04Nigel himself has a tremendous track record of consistent commitment
00:08to the causes that he has stood for.
00:10He doesn't get shaken, and I think people can trust him as a person
00:13because they know who he is and they know what he stands for.
00:16And despite everything that gets thrown at him,
00:18and sometimes he hasn't been doing so well in the polls,
00:20he still remains the same.
00:22And I think that is what the public fundamentally look to.
00:24And what myself and former colleagues have done in joining him
00:29is they're coming to join the Reform Party.
00:32And what we are doing today is announcing a process
00:35of getting serious as a government in waiting.
00:39We're not being arrogant, certainly not hubristic,
00:41about the expectation of winning. We're ahead in the polls.
00:44Doesn't mean that's going to stay that way.
00:45We're not predicting victory, but we are anticipating victory,
00:49and we are doing the responsible thing, as Nigel said earlier,
00:52of ensuring that if we are fortunate enough
00:54to win the support of the public, we will be ready with a plan.
