Aleco reprivatization opposed

The Albay Renewable Energy Alliance opposes the proposed ALECO reprivatization after Rep. Carlos Loria of the second district met with representatives of Meralco which seeks to fix the ailing Albay Electric Cooperative’s problems.

Tita Triumpante, MIDAS executive director based in Daraga Albay, said that Albay officials should learn that privatization failed to solve the cooperative’s problems.
