00:00Hi, I'm Omar from Limex, and my unique role combines the International Content Director and Operations Manager board,
00:08giving me a full view from creation to global monetization,
00:11and my Turkish and Russian rules is the key to bridging the different markets.
00:17And so, about Limex, we're in TV broadcast industry more than 10 years.
00:25And in Russia, we are something like a top player.
00:28We have audience more than 10 million.
00:31So, in your view, what is shot drama?
00:34Are there any genres that are unique to shot dramas?
00:38Actually, I define it by its format, not genre.
00:42It's content made for mobile with a dance plot,
00:47and every one or two minute episode needs a strong emotional hook and a cliffhanger.
00:52It starts with romance, any genre, thrillers, sky-fi can work if it holds attention.
00:58Why do shot drama go viral?
01:01Are there any formula behind the hits?
01:04Actually, for me, it's like a free topic.
01:07One of them is psychology.
01:09For me, it's fast food for the brain,
01:12offering instant emotional graphification and technology.
01:17It's designed for phones, so vertical, easily watched without any sound.
01:22You can watch it in subway road or at your classwork, everywhere.
01:28And most important, it's engagement.
01:31Constant cliffhangers create a bridge effect and drive social media discussion.
01:36Can you, again, briefly introduce the two shot drama apps you are currently promoting?
01:43One of our apps is for the Russian market.
01:48It's named Kino Lenta and focused on Russian-speaking market with deep cultural localization.
01:53And another app is named RealPix, our global flagship,
01:59a hub for top international content and new technologies.
02:02These two apps differ only in their target regions.
02:06And besides the language difference, Kino Lenta is more about deep localization.
02:12Provide a tailored local product can outperform a general global one.
02:17Because for foreign stories, Russian audiences,
02:21it really is not that broad to what I want to say,
02:24but the local stories and Russian actors is more important for us,
02:30as expected for Kino Lenta.
02:32Yes, there is a different content in Kino Lenta and RealPix,
02:36but monetization models and everything, it's kind of the same.
02:41What types of shot drama content are popular among Russian-speaking audience?
02:47And why do you think they resonate with them?
02:50Actually, the cultural relevance is everything.
02:54So content produced in Russia, we organize scenarios and character types,
02:59performs for better than adapted foreign stories,
03:01Cinderella stories set in Moscow, resonates more than one set in New York.
03:06Our strategy is to fully localize universal pilots.
03:10So I heard you are currently developing an AI-powered shot drama platform.
03:16Can you tell us more about how AI is shaping the content creation?
03:20We use AI as a tool to boost creativity and efficiency in two ways,
03:27analytics and production.
03:28For analytics, we're using machine learning to personal recommendations
03:32and even predict a script's potential success.
03:36And in production, we use the Generite AI for complex visual effects or locations,
03:41raising production quality while managing costs.
03:44Some Chinese companies like RealShot, they actually have an office in the US.
03:50They hire local people and they produce original stories as well.
03:57Then how do you stand out from those competitors?
04:01As I said, we target the different markets.
04:04Our RealPix, it's a global app, but it's mostly for the Mena market.
04:09So we start to film our Turkish titles.
04:13Kino Lenti is for Russian audience.
04:16So I think it's okay.
04:18It's a huge market, as you know.
04:20So if we get what we have in our minds,
04:24so we become success.
04:26We believe in that.
04:26How does Arabic audience like?
04:30What kind of stories does this country like?
04:33Yeah, good question.
04:35Mostly it's something like hot stories, you know,
04:38with romance, with beautiful girls.
04:41And this kind of content is most popular in these countries.
04:46Also, Turkish titles are so important for us
04:50because the Turkish series is so popular and worldwide.
04:55So we try to integrate it to our short drama project.
04:58We see already one of them
05:01and two of our Turkish titles in production right now.
05:05Are those more male audience or female audience
05:09for the Arabic countries?
05:11It's something close to 50-50,
05:13but it's more for the male audience,
05:17not for the female.
05:18But female audience also can find something unique in our story
05:22because it's something like office romance.
